Signed up as "Mighty Turduckens". I don't really care when the draft occurs. Closer to start of regular season is better. If it's during the week, I prefer after 6pm PDT.
Updated.
This season looks to be a great time. I look forward to the challange of more teams and less healthy players.
I've gotten hooked up with a yahoo league with my motorcycle forum friends and soon to be signed up with the other skyscraper geeks.
3 leagues = busy sundays this fall.
You will now truly know the experience of cheering and booing a player all at the same time. And then if you are a fan of a team (I''m assuming Broncos?) you get the added stress of hoping a specific player on the opposing team does well, but that everything else they do falls apart. Or cheering on your team, but hoping that their star will sputter that week.
For example: I am a Rams fan and have often been in a situation where I am cheering for the touchdown (rare as they are) but then asking why Holt always gets the pass.
Anyway, the NFL schedule has the last preseason game on August 28th and the first regular season game on September 4th.

So, do we want to wait until after the last preseason game?
Looking at Yahoo! September 1st is the last possible date as scoring officially begins on September 2nd. Apparently scores are done by week, so the first week begins on September 2nd.
Because we cover such a huge time zone difference anything mid-week would almost have to be 10PM ET/7PM PT or later. I am wondering if August 30th or September 1st might not be a bad weekend so that the east coasters won't be up too late.

Does anyone see changes that they want to make?
Most common rule discussions involve roster, points, max trades, max acquisitions, max waivers, and trade deadlines.
If anyone thinks we should make changes let me know.
One thing I just realized can be changed is that no-drafted players can either be dealt with using real-life waiver rules or just set up as free agents.
Anyway, let me know if anyone has any thoughts on changes and dates. All this needs to be set before the start of the season. Even the things that can be changed mid-season I refuse to adjust because they can have both positive and negative effects on people and I don't want anyone to feel mistreated by midseason changes. I've been in a league that had rules change frequently to attempt to improve things and it just led to fighting. So, I don't do it.
Once the rules are set plan accordingly, because they won't change.
