At least we have 1st dibs on the draft.
It'll take more than that to get this team in gear.

They'll probably trade the pick for another bad QB.

With how well AD played after the injury does not surprise me at all; but then again, I got to see him play live for the past three years at The University of Oklahoma.

I can still remember his first carry and the crowd's very large, "ahhhh" when he almost took his first carry to the house . . . something like one broken tackle and he would have been gone. 👍 I can also still remember his first carry against Texas, how he almost took it something like 90 yards for a touchdown, and would have done so if the defender had not taken such a good angle (it only ended up being something like 30-40, but could have easily been taken all the way).

Ahhhhh, the memories. :D

Moss 9
Welker 1
Addai 6
Parker 5

Total from 2 WR and 2 RB = 21

I hate this Fantasy junk.

Not really

SOOOOO....It comes down to the last regular season game for two of us. It looks like FK is going to make it win or lose. If I win I am in...If I lose I must have TwinTurbos94 lose to make it.

JFM = 49er hater 80
Delicious Species 130

Tony Romo and LT cleaned house this week allowing the Species to have a delicious victory.

The Chefs 119
Centurion Eagles 97

The Chefs offense turned up the heat and did some cooking to help negate 0 points from Gates and -1 from the Detroit D.....again.

SuperBad 97
wicky wicky radsters 89

A Super Rad matchup! Low scores on both sides of this matchup, but SuperBad had a few more higher scores than the Radsters. This win allows SuperBad to take the top spot away from The Chefs. This win allows SuperBad to stretch out their lead over The Chefs.

Rank - Team - Record - Total Points
*1. SuperBad - 8-4-1 - 1179
*2. The Chefs - 8-5-0 - 1261
3. Delicious Species - 7-6-0 - 1248
4. wicky wicky radsters - 6-6-1 - 1353
5. Centurion Eagles - 6-7-0 - 1197
6. JFM = 49er hater - 3-10-0 - 1015

* = clinched playoff spot

So, two teams are in the playoffs for sure. I agree with UnoMoto that I am pretty well clenched. I would have to lose and the Eagles would have to win with 51 more points than I get. Now if the Radsters lose and the Eagles win then it will be the Centurion Eagles. This may be the game that determines whether the Radsters' early hard luck losses will come back to haunt them. I have a feeling UnoMoto will be cheering for the Steelers and Bengals this weekend.

Whoever doesn't make it, just remember there is a consolation tournament.

Soo...I am 7 points away from my season being over. In looking back over the last few weeks I see that Colston should easily get those seven to crush my dreams of becoming a champion.

How fitting will it be that the only team that I could not beat is the one that I am playing. At least I finished the season just like I started it.

Those of you moving on to the playoffs should know that you are playing for something more then just bragging rights. A few weeks back I decided to reward the winner of our league with a one year subscription to premium or a $20 value item from the GTP store.

Good luck to all.

Woah! Didn't realize there was anything on the line. I'd better step up my game ;). Good luck to you. The radsters have been the perennial unlucky underdogs of our league the whole season. I've enjoyed rooting for you, even sometimes when you've been playing against me.

So, I quit dealing with idiots at work (firing them speeds this process along) and have a chance to do a timely report on this week's actions.

wicky wicky radsters 108
Delicious Species 123

Yesterday the Radsters were cowering in fear of the Species getting 7 points from Colston and dashing their playoff hopes. In a truly Delicious performance Colston grabbed 21 points. Romo and Tomlinson didn't hurt either. Despite Moss and Addai putting up big numbers the Radsters couldn't save get into the playoffs. It looks like the Radsters are going to have to hop on their mopeds and head on to the consolation round.

JFM = 49er hater 65
Centurion Eagles 98

Tom Brady came blazing out of the gates and the Eagles soared into the playoffs. LenDale White did well for the Haters, but overcoming Brady is tough to do in a performance like this.

SuperBad 119
The Chefs 106

This was a Super cooking game. Both QBs throw up 25 points and then both defenses try to compete with their QBs. But a few other Super players gave SuperBad the victory. Fortunately there was nothing riding on this game as both teams had clinched their playoff spots.

And the standings:

Rank - Team - Record - Total Points
*1. SuperBad - 9-4-1 - 1298
*2. Delicious Species - 8-6-0 - 1371
*3. The Chefs - 8-6-0 - 1367
*4. Centurion Eagles - 7-7-0 - 1295
5. wicky wicky radsters - 6-7-1 - 1461
6. JFM = 49er hater - 3-11-0 - 1080

* = playoffs

Early in the season a comment was made that the Delicious Species had the biggest hurdle to overcome because of their points standings. At the time the person making that comment had the second most points in the league. I wonder what his comment is now as the Delicious Species sit in second place, with the second most points in the league. The Radsters regular season ended as it began, putting up a lot of points, but not enough to win.

This regular season went well with some tough matches, and even a tie game. As commissioner I feel bad about that tie as partial points could have changed the playoff picture. Then again, it might not have either. This was a fun league and I am excited about these playoffs.

Speaking of which, here is the playoff picture:

Semifinal
(1) SuperBad
(4) Centurion Eagles

Semifinal
(2) Delicious Species
(3) The Chefs

And the consolation round has the Radsters and the Haters on a bye until Week 16, where they will determine who is the overall 5th place team. That's right, the Haters can put up one good game and still not come in last place.

Also, a while back UnoMOTO asked me about us finishing the playoffs on Week 16. I figured out that in larger leagues it is a three week playoff, so Yahoo! just starts all playoffs on Week 15.

And don't forget, UnoMOTO is also offering up a prize for the winner of a year of GTPremium or a $20 item from the GTP Store.

So you could get yourself a T shirt:

Or a stylish mug:

Or a messenger bag:

Or a clock:

Or, if you are into it, a thong:

Well, maybe that would be so you can have fun GTP games with your lady friend. Pictures are required if you do. If you intend to do anything else with it please keep it to yourself. :sly:

It won't really matter after this week when you're eliminated from the playoffs. You are SO going down. Tomlinson? Psssshhh!!! I've got Justin Fargas.

Fargas? Against Indy? Compared to Tomlinson against Detroit?

The real threat I see on your team is that you have Manning, Wayne, and Indy's D all against Oakland. They are just going to roll in the points.

Why couldn't Indy play the Pats this week?

It won't matter. The Species will eat up the Chefs.

Fargas? Against Indy? Compared to Tomlinson against Detroit?

Everyone knows that Fargas is the best running back ever. That's why I drafted him in the first round. He's going to chew up Indy's D like nobody's business. Tomlinson is an over-rated hack. Sure he just melted the Titan's staunch D (even with Haynesworth back) for 150 yards and 2 TDs. But that's childsplay compared to the 5000 yards and 6.146e12 TDs Fargas is going to put up!!!

Let's take a look at this objectively

Manning > Romo
Wayne > Colston
Johnson > Curtis
Edwards > Burress
Fargas >>> Tomlinson
Jacobs > Maroney
Gates > Gonzo
Bironas > Brown
Indy > SD

So I win at every single category, especially the Justin Fargas category.

Damn this season sucked. I mean I thought I had an awesome team. I had all the scorers from the awesome Bengals offense last year (Palmer, Johnson, Rudi), and to top it off...i had Larry Johnson. All of them flopped

Well sign me up for next season foolkiller. Sorry for my absences.

You still have one game left to attempt to snag 5th place away from UnoMOTO.

Hmm...I ain't bout to finish last haha..

Thats fine...I'd love to say that I scored the most points in my league and finished dead last.

All is not lost for me anyway as my wife's team...er...the one I helped her with, is in the semi's of a 16 team league that was broken down into two divisions. If WE win I will be very curious to see if the other division winner has some of the same players on our team. That will make for in interesting match up!

wifey's team

QB Tony Romo
WR Terrell Owens
WR Plaxico Burress
RB Steven Jackson
RB Earnest Graham
TE Tony Gonzalez
K Mason Crosby
DEF Seattle

Future losers

QB Brett Favre
WR Greg Jennings
WR Marques Colston
RB Brian Westbrook
RB Fred Taylor
TE Kellen Winslow
K Adam Vinatieri
DEF Jacksonville

Well, that's it for me gentlemen. I think I put up a good fight. I got a valiant effort from fargas this week, but how long could I keep going without a top flight running back (read: Shaun Alexander)? Oh well, there's always next year right?

Hey, you aren't done. You have to play for third.

And to think, the Tomlinson-Fargas difference could have won you the game.

Here's to hoping that SuperBad has a Super Bad week next week.

OK, so I got sidetracked last week with work stuff and then going to Florida. Here is the entire tournament wrap-up:

Week 1:

The Chefs 86
Delicious Species 93

I beat the Chefs when I didn't think I had a chance. Tomlinson FTW!!!

SuperBad 102
Centurion Eagles 54

SuperBad put a hurting on the Centurion Eagles.

So that left the championship game between Delicious Species and SuperBad.
Week 2 (and consolation):

SuperBad 87
Delicious Species 111

Holy carp, I won!!!! I wasn't even in town. I was drinking beer and eating shrimp on a beach.

The Chefs 112
Centurion Eagles 90

The Chefs claim their 3rd place spot even though the Centurion Eagles put up a good fight.

Consolation

Um......who wants to comment on this one? All I can say is that irony is not UnoMOTO's friend. JFM managed to not come in last overall, and play a huge spoiler.

And the final standings:
Rank - Team - record - total points
1. Delicious Species - 8-6-0 - 1371
2. SuperBad - 9-4-1 - 1299
3. The Chefs - 8-6-0 - 1367
4. Centurion Eagles - 7-7-0 - 1295
5. JFM = 49er hater - 3-11-0 - 1080
6. wicky wicky radsters - 6-7-1 - 1461

Last place, highest points. Well, UnoMOTO, I hope the great taste of FFL hasn't been ruined by the bittersweet aftertaste you suffered.

It was a great season guys and all around fun. I suspect we will have more people next year. I'll try to start it up earlier next year so we can attract more attention.

And Uno, if it is any consolation I came in dead last in my other league with only 3 wins. And I will respond to your PM after I have a chance to search through the store.

Sadly, there wasn't any trash talk during the championship week.👎

What can I say? I ended the season just like it should have for me.

No way...I am completely hooked. I could see myself starting leagues just like this one on two, maybe three other sites that I visit. I might even take up my crappy work league if they let me in.

Thank you for starting up this league although it must have obviously been fixed. ;) I do hope that we get a few more teams for next year.
And Uno, if it is any consolation I came in dead last in my other league with only 3 wins.
But did you lead the league in scoring? I think not!
And I will respond to your PM after I have a chance to search through the store.
No need for that...I know you already have your eye on the thong!

And I was looking so good going into Sunday . . . and then the rest of my team decided to crap out. I guess it is not too much of a surprise, as my three other teams also lost this week. At least my fantasy basketball team is doing well . . .

Yo! I told you guys I wasn't going to finish last  !

Thank you Fred Taylor! Finally a RB came through for me.

At least I can bring momentum into next season

PS, Good job Foolkiller.

For his effort our fine champion Foolkiller will be recieving this prize.

It's been a pleasure Mr. commish.

I may have to update my profile picture when I get that in.

Congratulations FoolKiller! Your team showed up when it mattered, my team did not, and my seven game win streak came to an end as a result.

Congratulations Foolkiller. Even though you botched the draft by taking a kicker and defense waaaaaaaay too early, you still managed to put it together in the end. Like so many this year, I was playing without my first round draft selection basically the entire year. As a result, I'm pretty happy with 3rd. It was a crazy year for fantasy football. I have to say I'm happy to have this one in the books.

Uno, it's crazy luck that you'd end up last with the most points. If it's any consolation, going into the last couple of weeks of my money league I had the most points and was 10th out of 12th. I haven't checked to see how that ended up yet, but I know the answer is "not good".
