Here are this week's results:

SuperBad 105
Delicious Species 84

With everyone but Tony Romo underperforming this week the Species could not stop Brian Westbrook from running all over the place. Thsi knocked teh Species down a spot. Can they recover?

wicky wicky radsters 73
Centurion Eagles 78

And the comeback has ended. The Centurion Eagles put the Radsters back in their place, stopping a strong comeback run. It wouldn't have taken much to change the outcome of thsi game, but with single digits from all but two players the Radsters couldn't stay in this one. The Eagles barely did any better, but it was just enough.

JFM = 49er hater 57
The Chefs 99

JFM = space filler. With two players saying buh-bye the Haters didn't stand a chance. The Chefs barely needed to preheat their oven to win thsi one but they still put up strong points to walk away with 99.

And the standings:

Rank - Team - Record - Points
1. The Chefs 7-3-0 - 990
2. SuperBad 5-4-1 - 880
3. Delicious Species 5-5-0 - 919
4. Centurion Eagles 5-5-0 - 917
5. wicky wicky radsters 4-5-1 - 1031
6. JFM = 49er hater 3-7-0 - 773

The Species dropped a spot because apparently a tie is worth more than a loss. Fair enough. The Chefs are just walking into the Playoffs, yet the Radsters have over 1,000 points, but have only translated that into a fifth place spot. With four more games before the playoffs the roster is still unclear. Mathematically even The Chefs could go out.

This is turning out to be a close one.

So I can't win a game with Moss and Welker on the bye....meh. :indiff: Now that bye week troubles are over we will have no excuses coming down the stretch.

Injury excuses on the other hand can be used at any time. Let's review...R. Brown out with a knee injury...Peterson now out for at least one game with an injury. It looks like I made the right move by hording my RB's from a few weeks ago.

I am very happy with my line up going into this week against The Chefs. I'll be happy to bring them back to the rest of the pack for the sake of the league. Your welcome....no need to thank me!

Dude you're so going down. Once again I preemptively feel bad for beating you because it'll put you in a standing in the league that you clearly don't deserve. But you also don't deserve to beat me, so it's a conundrum.

The question is, do I use Torry Holt against you? I almost feel obligated to even though Andre is supposedly playing this week (finally). Afterall, it wouldn't be fantasy football without some sort of extra-cruel twist of fate.

I've noticed :irked: I wouldn't have expected Bulger and the Rams to pick it back up again. I'll just act like it's a flash in the pan for you.

I've already experienced enough cruel twists with the score I keep running up just to earn me a 5th place spot.

And this week's results are in.

Centurion Eagles 105
Delicious Species 98

The Eagles prove themselves not to be very endangered and they take a delicious bite out of the Species hopes for the playoffs. The Species had underperformance across the board while the Eagles overperformed.

wicky wicky radsters 134
The Chefs 77

What the? The Colts decided to not do anything this week and left the Chefs without a fire to cook with. The Radsters responded by putting up huge numbers from their star players. How did they get both Moss and Owens again? Did anyone else expect Moss and Owens to get around their huge egos enough to actually play football?

SuperBad 101
JFM = 49er hater 73

The Haters are past the bye weeks but still manage 0 points from a player. SuperBad required nothing super to win this one and pulled perfectly in line with their projection to walk away with an easy win.

And the standings:

Rank - Team - Record - Total Points
1. The Chefs - 7-4-0 -1067
2. SuperBad - 6-4-1 - 980
3. Centurion Eagles - 6-5-0 - 1022
4. wicky wicky radsters - 5-5-1 - 1165
5. Delicious Species - 5-6-0 - 1017
6. JFM = 49er hater - 3-8-0 - 846

All is not well with the universe this week. I have fallen from my playoff berth. This shall not stand!!!!

Luck...remember that I was not at the draft when Yahoo picked them for me.

Not a chance, but when you have Brady and Romo throwing you the ball it helps keep them happy and their mouths shut.

It does look like it will come down the the last week for playoff postions.

My lead is getting slimmer each week. I'm not sure I'm going to do much better this week either given that Manning still doesn't have a full compliment of receivers.

Danoff, you're lucky dude. If it wasn't for two boneheaded calls on my part you would be #2.... [/trash talk]

With saying that,I still suck

I wish I would have been home in time to sign up for this league. I've got a great team in the league with my friends, but I'm beginning to run away from the pack at the moment.

This fantasy season has been pretty weird in my opinion, there have been a whole bunch of pretty big injuries (LJ, Stephen Jackson, Harrison, Alexander) etc., and some guys are just not producing as much as they used to(Frank Gore)

I'm pretty confident about my team right now, my lineup looks like this.

QB - Ben Roethlisberger
WR - Reggie Wayne
WR - Terrell Owens
WR - Randy Moss
RB - Brian Westbrook
RB - Joseph Addai (he had a neck injury last night...scary)
TE - Dallas Clark
K - Rob Bironas
DEF - New England

BENCH
QB - Derek Anderson
QB - Brett Favre
WR - Kevin Curtis
RB - Clinton Portis
RB - Maurice Jones-Drew (saved my fantasy team last year, but not doing much this year)
DEF - Tennessee

Right now I'm 9-1 in my league with 1181 points, I'm on yahoo too, by the way.

Wow, I must be really bored if I'm posting up my fantasy team for people in a totally different league.

Sorry I haven't been active for probably a month now. My internet has been having problems, and so has my fantasy football team haha

I saw that playoffs start at the 15th week, and four out of the six make it to the playoffs. I don't think I can make it, but hopefully I can end on a winning streak just like how I started.

Make sure you are around for us next year then.

Fantasy Football does that to a person. This is my first year and I am hooked.

I'm fighting for maybe the last playoff spot and you AND your team show up this week. I have parker and my defense left, you with Miller and I need to make up 16 pts. Its going to be a close one.

OK, so I am a day late. Sue me. I took Monday off work and so playing catch up after five days off (518 emails waiting for me), firing someone, and then trying to catch up on five days of GTP I just ran out of time.

Here are the results:

The Chefs 75
Delicious Species 101

I have to say that I am flabbergasted (that's right, I said flabbergasted) that our #1 team has taken two hits in a row. Looks like the Species got their revenge on the Chefs and turned the heat on them. The cook became the cooked. The most noticeable difference here was defense, as the Species pulled in 20 defensive points while The Chefs actually had -2. Detroit D against Green Bay? Really? Really really?

SuperBad 101
Centurion Eagles 78

It looks like it takes more than Tom Brady to win in this league. In this case it takes a pair of incredible running backs. Westbrook and Jackson paired up to get 1/3 of SuperBad's points, giving them a Super performance.

wicky wicky radsters 99
JFM = 49er hater 89

Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson were awesome for the Haters, unfortunately two other players did nothing. With a margin of 10 points that could have made the difference. The Radsters may want to look at this as a Wicked wake-up call. Your roster may be good, but it can be stopped.

Side note: And it appears that JFM has decided to get active and possibly play spoiler in his last few games. Two trades on Monday? We'll see what that does.

Standings:

Rank - Team - Record - Total Points
1. SuperBad - 7-4-1 - 1082
2. The Chefs - 7-5-0 - 1142
3. wicky wicky radsters - 6-5-1 - 1264
4. Delicious Species - 6-6-0 - 1118
5. Centurion Eagles - 6-6-0 - 1100
6. JFM = 49er hater - 3-9-0 - 935

And The Chefs fall from their pedestal. I know I said this was anyone's league, but this was not what I expected to see.

Oh well, I am back in, so I am happy. No one else has to get fired.

My TE position is driving me up a wall. Can I get even a little consistancy here people? I have only started the right man twice out of the last six weeks and one of the right picks was on the bye. How can I possibly figure out who is going to score on a given week with these two. :banghead:

Wk 7
Starter Cooley 0
Bench Shockey 9

Wk 8
Starter Shockey 2
Bench Cooley 9

Wk 9
Starter Cooley 5
Bench Shockey bye

Wk 10
Starter Cooley 3
Bench Shockey 18

Wk 11
Starter Shockey 4
Bench Cooley 1

Wk 12
Starter Shockey 1
Bench Cooley 15

This is getting a bit ridiculous...one week in, the next out...in....out...in...out

Detroit leads the league in turnovers. Favre has been, for many years, happy to turn the ball over. I figured on 3 picks, maybe one for a TD.

Tight ends are, in general, very inconsistent and cannot be counted on to produce week in and week out. The only thing consistent with tight ends is that they are inconsistent.

I'm living proof of that

True

Favre has been, for many years, happy to turn the ball over.
But not this year. Only 8 INTs so far. Compare that to 18 last year and 29 the year before. I would be hesitant to put almost any D up against Favre this year.

I figured on 3 picks, maybe one for a TD.
Well, honestly no one saw negative points coming. It isn't as if you knew you would do better playing no defense.

I think that when it comes to fantasy I just have zero respect for anything out of Detroit.

See, that's just not deserved.

Kevin Jones? Roy Williams? Kitna? Calvin Johnson? Hanson?

There are some good fantasy points to be had from Detroit. They're playing much better this year than in the past. I actually thought they'd beat the packers.

Sure, Detroit is coming along, and I won't get a worse player just to avoid them, but as a whole they just seem to be a disapointment and so I am always hesitant to go with Detroit right now.

Give them a couple of more years and maybe I will see them in a different light.

The Broncos just called and would like to have their ass back.

Sincerely,
Detroit

Tough decision for me. Should I start Carson Palmer at Pittsburgh or Marc Bulger at Atlanta, who didn't play in practice and is coming off an injury...

Geez.

yahoo
Nov 29 Bulger (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Atlanta, the Associated Press reports.
Recommendation: Bulger apparently failed medical tests that would have cleared him to play, but at 2-9 there is no upside to the Rams rolling him out before he feels 100 percent. Gus Frerotte will start in Bulger's place Sunday.

I have a similar problem with starting Peterson over Parker at RB. A better RB who is fresh off an injury or a stable Parker that only has 2 TD's this season.

It's like investing, do I go for the concervitive 10-15 pts from Parker Or do you risk a 0 point day with the chance of a 20-30 point day? I'd feel better with Peterson if Taylor wasn't running so good. I just don't see a need to have Peterson take all the load.

27 points off of Romo alone!!!!!

I wish I had NFL Network. That would have been an awesome game to watch.

I'd go with Parker.

I'll need to see a healthy Peterson play before I put him back in the starting line up.

My wife has Romo, Owens and Crosby on her team. She busted out with 60 points on three players to start the week. BAM!!! Shoulda had ten more with that drop by TO in the end zone.

It was a great game to watch...if you can stomach listening to Mr Gumbel.

I'd go with Parker. I heard that Peterson will be sharing carries with Taylor.

That worked out well for me. :grumpy:

Peterson 24
Parker 5

Can I still short on the Dolphins?

Look at it this way....That same group of old farts that show up when team is having an undefeated season will now have a counterpart group. You'll have the best and worst records to celebrate each year.

We'll probably beat the Pats when they play their 3rd squad to prep for playoffs.

At least we have 1st dibs on the draft.
