Oh. My. God.

I'm guessing around 250 will be made and, if it is genuine carbon-fibre, It would probably arrive at my doorstep for around $1000 no?

Well I found this place in states and I ordered that Gran Turismo Ford GT by Autoart and also a Bugatti Veyron 1:18 by Autoart, both for good prices. It appeared they were both in stock judging from their website (they didn't have that many diecast, it was a car parts shop mostly). Let's hope I get an email saying they're both shipped and that they were both in stock. 👍

Here's two for the UK people:

Williams FW26 (walrus nose) Juan Pablo Montoya 1:18 Minichamps, 30gbp buy it now
^^ this one is really good. I'd get it myself, but the pound is really high compared to canadian dollar atm and shipping isn't cheap to Canada either.

O and also if you're from USA, replicarz.com has a sale which is free shipping for any order over $150 US (only for people in US). They have some nice stuff like Minichamps Carrera GT 1/18 for $70.

It won't be genuine CF.

Sounds like a good price on that Gallardo, CCX! I've thought about getting it, but not enough to actually get round to buying it.

Is there any info on that Ford GT at all? I can't find anything about it anywhere. I'd assume it's an AutoArt, but there's nothing on their website about it. And I can't read Japanese :)

1. thanks :)

2. if it out in japan first it could be a KYOSHO:idea:

That carbon fibre Ford gt is by Autoart. I'm assuming it'll come out sometime. It's not real carbon fibre obviously. It's probably gonna be like $85-$90 just like the other one.

first models of 2007 and you guessed it,SKODAS!
first one i bought was this ixo octavia wrc, signed by the driver armin schwarz  got a decent price on it.

pretty decent model, some little niggles about it though

and also got this sent from a member of another board :) really good read, better than any of the diecast mags ive came across in the uk,did like the bit about the peter brock collection but i felt they didnt go into much detail on some of the models, and also to my surprise there was an article about the guy that did my brock daytona :)

I certainly hope so. Thanks for the info!

only 1:18 octavia there is is that china dealer model

I got this one on ebay a while ago, got a good deal too. It goes well with my Kimi model and I really wanted it as Montoya's first McLaren. I won't be getting his 2006 McLaren as it doens't look any different to the Kimi car except the helmet. This one has Juan-Pablo everywhere which I like. Now all I need is his 2004 car, the walrus-nose FW26 and my Juan-Pablo collection should be complete with having his 2003 car, this one (2005) and the 2004.

Anyway, overall nice Minichamps quality. It's a bit better than the Hot Wheels, better overall polish. I got this for cheaper than the Kimi Hot Wheels model actually :giggle . I am thinking of making the Kimi model with West decals and maybe one day find the Minichamps one to have a model with Kimi on the side since the HW doesn't have the red "Raikkonen" which somewhat bothers me.

Enjoy the pics.

woho got my 1/18 RS4 :D
i love this car! best part for me is the hinges on the boot.it opens normal as if it was a normal boot then swings up full to the full 90 degrees :) ,the model is also imo visually stunning and i love that they have fitted it with the opitional sports seats.only real problem i have with the car is that its black and it seems to hide the defineing features of the 1:1 RS4 but im still happy i have it :)

Ooh a Kyosho, yes? Impressive. I'll tell you what's really cool though. The engine hood on my BMW M3 E30 by AA. It has these awesome mechanic cylinders and it has like a special position it sits in so that it stays put. Then you move it back a bit and voila you can close it again. It's truly something special.

I want an E30 M3 EVO II...

Have you seen the CMC SLR's opening hood? It's a work of art ;) Just ask Skodaboy over there! :P

I have the special "Cecotto Edition". Has a plaque in the center console with Johnny Cecotto's signature and some other special stuff and it's the rarest M3 of them all in real life (I think, maybe not THE rarest, but it is pretty damn rare, there must be only like a dozen or less in states).

I haven't seen the CMC SLR's opening hood. I don't have any CMC's or Exotos unfortunately.

thats m3's hood isnt that impresive, and the e30/36/46 gtr's are rarer in real life.thats basicly a similer set up to mc's audi V8,AA 190's,pma's 535i and several others.now that one one the SLR now that is a work of art :)

the reason i was talking about the set up on the boot of the rs4 is cause everyone seems to forget about the boot and just stick doglegs on them.

I have both the AA E30 and CMC SLR and I can say that the E30 hood hinges has nothing on the SLR. Just look at how complicated it is.

Even the AA 190E has better hood hinges than the E30.

The E30 hood hinges are not bad but there are better ones out there in the 1/18 world.

I never said they're the best, no need to try and prove something. Obviously the CMC one is gonna be better, it also costs like three, four times the price.

I'm glad I saw that M3 now, rather, than before I went out today - probably would've ended up buying one.

Had a trip to Modelzone today to pick up my Bathurst Mini. Me in Modelzone is never a good thing... I always end up buying too much...

To go with my Kyosho Mini (£45), I got a Quartzo Williams FW18 (Villeneuve's first win) (£20), a Solido 2003 Skoda Fabia WRC (£25), and a Maistro 2002 Audi R8 (£10). Just the one photo, haven't had time to take more.

No one said you did. I'm posting for the sake of other users of this thread to let them know that there are better hoods and hinges out there than just the models in your collection.

And do you honestly think that higher prices means better diecast? Spark R8s are three to four times as much as the Maisto R8s price so they must be much better, right? You must have been under a rock all this time because making blanket statements like that is just makes you sound like a novice. And please try not to sound authoritative in the subject because you obviously have no clue what's out there beyond your own collection (confusing Kyosho and Minichamps on the RS4 and then start raving on your own M3 in the same post is one good example).

Why are you putting words in my mouth now? I didn't say higher price means better diecast. In the case of CMC, it's well known that they offer higher quality over Autoart/minichamps and such. I made no mention Spark's R8. I know very well how good "value" they are with being sealed and all for such a high price. What's your problem anyway, so I confused Minichamps and Kyosho, big deal. It looks to me like you're trying to stir up an argument.

You guys know that Hakkinen model I got like a month or two ago? The MP4/15 (2000) by Minichamps in mercedes dealer box.

I've found some for under $20 for one. If anyone interested, give me a pm and I'll send you the link.

Also, that Montoya model I just posted (on this page I think), I found it for a buy it now of about $20, 1:18 by Minichamps and in mercedes dealer box. Again anyone interested, give me a pm and I'll send you the link.
