1. Job FTW!

2. Wherever there's a flat space. I've been lucky, and managed to get a pair of bookcases with glass fronts for free, which houses a combined total of about 40 models.

erm mate the brock 956 was out 2 weeks ago and sold out on the biante site in 13 mins,my 956 is currently on the way over from australia,it was sent out on thursday from a friend over there.
Ok, I ordered the 1971 Bathurst winning GTHO Falcon and when that came in they didn't call me about that one either. Might be time for a new model shop.

Look what I just got from evilbay for about 30 euro.

Ferrari F2001 Schumacher w/ Marlboro

👍

The Marlboro logo on the engine cowl looks kinda small, I thought it was bigger on the actual car?

Here's a picture i found of the F2001.

I think the one on the model looks ok. It's possible they made it bigger midway throughout season and the F2002 had a bigger one, but the F2001 was smaller.

Saw three pure-sex Super GT AutoArt models in-store today. (Not that I havn't seen them before) Pure awesomeness; immaculate detail. Too bad I'll never be able to afford one, they retail for about $130 each. Why are models so damn expensive...

Next on my to get list:

Ford GT yellow w/ black stripes by Autoart
Porsche Carrera GT yellow by Autoart
Kyosho Miura SV green by Kyosho
Aston Martin DBR9 #007 by Autoart

Will see which one of them I get, maybe 1 or 2 of them. :)

that might be a good idea........if you want theres a couple on ebay just over 500aud
Um, no thanks. Finally got hold of them and there is one waiting for me for $195 including the Peter Brock Foundation donation. I think they got my number wrong.

Aston Martin. AutoArt. What could be better in the line-up?

I'd love to see some photos of that one. ;)

You know what I just got? A Bugatti Veyron blue/black by Autoart 1:18 from ebay. If anyone wants one, go to ebay now there's only one left (search for Veyron 1/18).

holden posted 3 veyron links on dh, but I think they were ebay stores.

Be sure to tell what the Veyron is like. I might get one but only for its technical achievement.

ill save you time and say dont buy one,it has got to be imo the worst aa model ive came across, almost like they didnt even bother and just wanted to release it as quickly as possible, more plasticy than katie price.

only reason to get this model would basicly be to say you have a model fo a veyron

Whoevers from Canada, check out scale18.com's scratch and dent sale. They've got quite a few $75 models for only $50 cause box in a bit rough shape. Including a Subaru WRC Solberg from 2003 (the year he won WRC, quite rare, I haven't seen on ebay in a year), and they have a gold Panoz GTR-1 as well and a bunch of other AA models that are nice.

Ive got it. beleive me.. DONT GET IT! unless it's at a discount price! the interiior is 100% plastic! although the exterior is very detailed, aswell as the engine, it's not worthy of the 'millenium' range.👍

Nice Porsche. How'd you manage to get it? I thought they were only sold in Australia? I heard that after Peter Brock died (was it sometime around late 2005?), the preorders on this one went up majorly and sold out or something.

they are but someone from another board who lives in australia bought me it.
That's nice of that person! They are a limited edition of 2500 or something like that right? A nice piece, though I don't have much interest in it myself. Are you a fan of Peter Brock or one of the drivers? Or you just like the car livery overall?

yeah its an LE of 2500, you could say im a peter brock fan but didnt get much into him till i did some research when i got the 79 A9X.also starting to became a perkins fan too after researching this car, safe to say one of the best drivers that never had a title to his nameas showen here

everyone went nuts for the car after he died and i had 2 preorders drop through.i hate porsches but the other reason i got it was cause it was a brock/perkins car

Looks like about 1994. Larry always liked turning it on for the F1 crowd.

I know this is probably the stupidist question to ask but what website should i look on to find high quality rally models.

EDIT: one more thing. how hard would it be for me to find the model of a 1999 rally subaru impreza, 106 rally, escudo rally, and rally lancia delta s4 ( the flatter one, you know what i mean ). im sorry i dont know the year for all of them but im not too much into rally 1. because it isn't shown in the u.s and 2. Ive never been able to get my hands on coverage of older rally seasons ( like 1986 and whatever year the 1999 subaru was featured, lol )

Go to scale18.com for brand new models, and look on ebay for older models. The models I've gotten off ebay:

Subaru Impreza WRC Solberg/Mills 2004 Japan Winner $40
Peugeot 206 WRC Gronholm 2002 New Zealand Winner $30
Ford Focus WRC McRae/Grist 2002 Monte Carlo $40

These are all 1:18 and by AUTOart.

In terms of 1:18 rally models, there's AUTOart (excellent quality), Sunstar (lower quality) and Solido (decent quality).

A 1999 Impreza (Richard Burns?) would probably be very hard to find. I think they go for a lot of money on Ebay.

Back in late 2005, I had the chance to get a '99 Richard Burns Impreza and a '01 or '02 Impreza Tommi Makinen, both by AA at a good price from a local hobby shop, but I didn't know any better and I didn't get either :(.

Could anyone possibly tell me if Quartzo make quality models? As I am looking into getting Graham Hills Lotus 49B in a few weeks, once I rake up some more money.

I found a 1999 rally subaru impreza but its said its scale 1:43. is that even possible? It looks atleast to be 1/24 but judging by the quality i'd say its bigger. one more thing, please dont bid on it :D, I want it extremely bad :scared: :nervous:

here is the link to it. can anybody help me figure out how big it really is

i feel stupid now, lol. my dad explained it to me and i get it now. im going to bid on it a little later on. Still have 8 hours.

Thanks for all your help to anyone who helped me out.
