that'll be a revell model then yes?
a couple of those popped up at one of my local model spots recently.
they look like pretty good little models and i had no idea anyone even made a 1:18 corrado.

got any pics? :)

Try Photobucket. It's more reliable than Imageshack and you can upload 20 pictures at once. On the downside, there's a size limit on the pictures you can upload, and I found it a bit tricky to work my way around it at first.

Today I received the model that I ordered back on friday.

Shelby Cobra GT500 Eleanor '67 by Shelby Collectibles 1:18, pepper grey version (updated release which is more accurate to car from Gone in 60 Seconds).

I absolutely love it. I will post some pictures tommorow (haven't taken any yet). Now I have only 2 more movie cars to go, the '68 Ford GT390 green (Bullitt) and the Ford Mustang Mach I '71 yellow (original Gone in 60 Seconds).

I have another question about quality. I've found a 1:18 scale 911 GT1 by UT (I know they apparently turned into Autoart) for $30, so I was wondering if their models are of good quality. Thanks.

Yea UT models are quite good. Not as good as todays autoarts, but they are still more than decent. Which 911 GT1 did you find? Is it the white road one?

Well if you want a racing Porsche, then it's probably a decent model and worth $30.

Here are lots of pictures of what I've been doing and getting lately.

And now the big one. My new Ikea Billy towers in which I will put nearly all of my collection (there will be 2 models left in my room).

Those IKEA towers are PERFECTO Stang. Is Billy the actual name of them, because I might see if they have the same thing in UK ebays.

Also, how much was it?

just be careful with those spotlights being so close to your collection, if i were you i'd take them out and get some directional ones (like in argos stores jewellery cabinets...)
:)

direct light can cause the decals to peel and flake, can also cause problems with the paint.

anyway well this arrived yesterday,Elfin Streamliner MS8,sadly customs held it and charged me VAT on it.dont know why
pretty decent model i must say but it is tiny!! half the size of a monaro, when i opened the box i wondered where the rest of it was

I went to Beaulieu, in Hampshire, for my birthday on Saturday, and in the gift shop they had two huge models of a Porsche Carrera GT and a Ferrari Enzo. They were massive, and had real carbon fibre and removable body parts, and you could even take it apart completely (like a real car) with a little bolt-thing! They were truly a sight to behold, but you know how much they were? £399. But they were truly stunning though. :sly:

That would be this one then?

I saw one on ebay a while back, woulda cost me around 160 pounds. 1/12 models are not my thing tho.

I realize this. This is why I won't be keeping those lights on 24/7 obviously. I will only turn them on for small amounts of time (less than 5 minutes) when I want to take a better look at my collection, so a few times a week. I don't think that will cause any damage to the models.

Sweet car! I actully saw Brock drive that car in the Classic Adelaide in '05, that was a great event!

if you had directional lights you could point them at different angles to light up your models without exposing them to such harsh light and heat.... paint problems like others have mentioned would develop over time.

Hsv: Understood, those spotlights get very, very hot in a short amount of time.

I got my 911 GT1 today, I'm quite impressed by it, except right now I need a screwdriver to undo two screws so I can open up the bonnet. You see, the problem with living with your mum and not your dad is the lack of tools.
Anyway, I should get some photos soon.

picked up a new camera yesterday :) Fuji FinePix S9500 upgrade from my minolta Z5 because a local workshop wanted more than it was worth to repair it  and i got a great deal on this one, also uped from 5 million pixels to 9.24 over the Z5 :D
still working out what all the buttons do.

One my latest projects. This is a Ferrari 248 driven by Michael Schumacher in 2006 season. It's the Hot Wheels Racing 1/18. The quality is pretty good, but I was expecting better. The F2004 that HW made was a bit better quality.

With their upcoming Schumacher models from Monza, Shanghai GP and Brazil GP being insane prices, I just got the regular one for a mere $40 and I converted it to Marlboro myself using Marksman decals. The end result looks very nice and I'm really happy to have this piece in my collection. I also have rear wheel discs that I haven't put in yet, but I will soon.

Here's another conversion that I just did yesterday. The R25 is definetely one of the harder conversions I've done so far, probably the hardest actually. It took a lot of work, over 5 hours I think. I'm really pleased with the result.

This is the Renault R25 "Constructor's Championship" by Hot Wheels. It recreates the China GP race from 2005 season. Renault actually ran with Mild Seven there so the model not only looks really good but it is also accurate now.
