I used to own one of those Porsches until I had sell it to pay for medical bills, it was one of Twenty Five 1:18 Scale models that I had to sell to pay off medical bills.

For anyone interested, I've put up 2 of my models on ebay, an autoart CLK GTR (the blue one) and that blue art car Callaway. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll send you the ebay link.

I am also selling my McLaren MP4/13 Hakkinen (1998 season) in 1:18 scale . It's converted by myself to West. This one isn't on ebay, I'm just posting it on a few forums see if I can get some offers.

2 new arrivals in the last 2 days, a dark green Mustang gt 'bullitt' for £20 AA

and the maisto GT1 I won (which is utterly fantastic) £11.50

Okay I am thinking about making my own crash scene using a 1/18th scale Formula 1 car, however, I am a complete novice when it comes to it, does anyone have any idea what kind of tools would be required to create the damage or if one particular type of crash is easier than the other?

Cheers for any advice.
:)

Hammer and a good aim. lol 👍

Hmm a crash scene. Which scene is it. It sounds pretty hard to me.

My advice: so let's say you get a background right for the car to sit on, or whatever it is you're doing. I'm not sure which crash you're doing, but for the most part, you'd want to say loosen one of the wheels for the arm/stub that holds it to the arm of the car. And then maybe use some Tamiya weathering kit?

I'm still a wee bit stuck on the choice of car, but I'm possibly thinking Alonso's 04 crash at Monaco as a good starter..

You can get damaged models at knockdown prices - it might be easier to buy one and find a crash it's been in, rather than the other way round. For example, some time ago I saw an 05 Red Bull with the front wing snapped off for very little.

Some pictures of my latest projects.

Williams-Renault FW19 Jacques Villeneuve
- from 1997 season
- Villeneuve was champion that year as you all know

Williams-Renault FW18 Damon Hill
- from 1996 season
- Hill was champion that year

All together on champions' row in my display cabinet.

From left to right:
McLaren Senna '88, Williams Mansell '92, Williams Hill '96, Williams Villeneuve '97, McLaren Hakkinen '98, Ferrari Schumacher '04 (still have the driver suit to do)

And also as I previously mentioned, I've put up a McLaren from '98 driven by Hakkinen converted to West on ebay (item # 140111397955). If any of you interested in this sort of model, I suggest checking it out.

CCX requires Senna Diecasts.

I only have 1:43 model :'( although it is the #2 williams FW16

Fortunately for you, the 1/43 model is much easier and cheaper to come by. The 1/18 models from Senna's championship years '88, '90 and '91 seem to go for lots of money nowadays.

Oh, I've finished another conversion by the way. I worked last night on a BAR Honda 007, made it into 555 livery as seen at Chinese GP 2005. I will post some pictures of it soon. It's quite a beauty.
