Brilliant score, Tommi! Great photos, too.

Thanks, i'm really chuffed with it. It's great how I just came across it, considering how hard they are to find now.:)

My Mac F1 LM is the orange one. I also have the longtailed in black.
The regular street version I have in silver.

Orange is the best colour anyway.;)

I also purchased the Kyosho Ferrari 250 GTO Le Mans in Tour de France colours. Nice model, but to expensive for what you will want.
Awesome!👍, i'd love to get a Kyosho Ferrari sometime, but my money is being saved for other stuff at the moment.

I do tend to buy the high end models. The make the cars that I love (the older racers) and they bring it with so much detail. CMC is the leader of the pack in 1:18 if you would ask me.

I only buy higher quality ones now too, i'm hoping to get a decent display cabinet within the next few months so I can properly show them, once i've got that i'll most likely sell some of my lesser quality models to make way for much better ones. I'm currently looking at Le Mans and GT cars, both classic and modern.👍

That Rudolph Dodge Viper is ace, is it AutoArt? I've only ever seen plain body versions of that car.

It is a limited edition, made by the Rudolph GT team.
I believe only 50 pieces are made with a certificate. I am very proud to have one in my collection. 👍

@a6M5, the GT-one is one of the nicest models.
The Mazda 787b is quite rare nowadays. Autoart is making a new one in a different livery. Also very nice, but the 787b should be in this Le Mans winning livery, if you would ask me :sly:

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. 👍 I definitely want it in the Le Mans scheme, so kinda disappointed to hear about its scarcity. I might have to wait til somebody release another new run. :D

Going to pick this one up today, just got released:

After that, I'll have to buy a display cabinet and keep them in a seperate room - I've run out of space!

So I want to get a new 1:18 car, but not sure what to get. I want an Autoart or Minichamps, but I can't narrow it down. I'm looking at something up too $100 but I might go a little over depending on what car it is. I really want the Veyron, but the $150+ kills it. Not really the best description, but people have some good quality cars and would know some good cars to get.

Have you considered Kyosho?, their cars are much better quality than Minichamps and most are ahead of AUTOart. One of the most popular models they sell at the moment is the Audi R8, I have one myself which i'm very impressed with. You can pick them up for pretty cheap if you shop around.👍

They also offer some very nice Ferrari's but I don't think they'll be within your budget.

Here's a couple of AUTOart cars you might want to take a look at, both i've seen first hand so can vouch for their quality. They're not the best quality but you do get a lot for not much money. As with the R8, ignore the prices on the site, pretty sure you'll be able to get these for less than $100 if you buy elsewhere.

Porsche 997 GT3 RS (Available in other colour combos too)

Lamborghini LP560-4

I'll also throw something from Minichamps too:

Jaguar XK Coupe (They also offer it in cabriolet form)

If none of these interest you take a good look round the AUTOart site, there are some great models available in and slightly above your budget. Just don't get like me and suddenly want several different versions of the same car.:P *cough*911 GT3 RSR*cough*

Thanks for the input 👍. I've been looking at Kyosho too. I just haven't looked as much because I usually forget about it.

That 997 GT3 RS caught my eye everytime I went past it on Ebay. It's near the top of my list as of now. The LP 560-4 also looks amazing. It's hard to pick just one car because each one has it's own up side. I'm going to a race next week that usaully has a trailer with some good 1:18 and I'm planning on getting on there, but since I have money I figured why not get two.

Right now the ones I'm debating is the Autoart 997 GT3 RS, Kyosho F40 Lightweight, Autoart Volvo 240 Turbo Plain Body, and possibly the Veyron, only I really want to slurge. There's tons of other, but those are the ones I always take a second look at.

Thanks for the info, much appreciated. 👍 I definitely want it in the Le Mans scheme, so kinda disappointed to hear about its scarcity. I might have to wait til somebody release another new run. :D

I love my 787B. Getting it a Le Mans just added to the awesomeness of the car. Although my dad dropped it once and now it's missing some anennas and a cracked headlight cover :grumpy:. It's still beautiful to look at, from a distance.

There are some VERY good Minichamps 1/18's, such as the Porsche Carrera GT, their Bentleys, and their Benz SL500. All of those are easily on par with anything Kyosho has, and are as good as most AA's short of their Signature line (which is getting stupidly expensive). Most regular Minichamps are similar to older Kyosho/AA models in terms of overall detail. While their lowest end models are nice, but somewhere between a good Kyosho/AA and a good budget model (Maisto and such).

Few pics of my Minichamps Carrera GT:

Try emailing AA, they might be able to provide replacement parts for free. Has worked for me in the past with damaged models...

The Kyosho F40 Lightweight is one of te nicest models from 2009.
The Veyron, well, let' s say that taste differ on this matter :sly:

But what I am wondering about, do you want to spent money on a Sclae model, or do you want to buy a model that you like? (Do you get the difference?).
I have a broad collection, but I still know what I want in that collection.

For some reason I've just fallen in love with the Veyron over the past few weeks.

I'm not too sure actually . The cars I like are on top, but If I find a good looking model of car I might go with too.

Thanks for all the kind comments guys !!!

Yes, the 1/18 Honda NSX JGTC 2003 TEST CAR #0 is from AutoArt, product no. 80396. Both of the Watson BMW race cars are from AutoArt as well, E30M3 PLATZ MACAU 1991 PIRRO #6 (product no. 89149) and 320i (E46) MACAU GUIA RACE 2004 WINNER J.MULLER #15 (product no. 80449). The 575 is from Kyosho.

Haha the Vespa is for my wife cause her dad used to own one :)

Hi guys, sorry to crash the thread, but i have a question if i may?

The model inside the EU signature edition of GT5... how much do you think its actually worth? Forget the branding, just as a simple SLS you might of bought at the shop.. how much?

Then what about WITH the branding? More?

I ask because i dont think i'm particularly interested in the model, but may get the sig edition anyway. Wondered how much i might get for it selling it on.

Thankyou :)

New 1/43 cars from Kyosho sell for about $30, on ebay they go for about $10-$20. Hard to say if the GT branded ones will sell better as it will depend on how many they make.

Here is some of my 1:18 collection. I stopped collecting about 10 years ago, but am thinking about getting rid of some and start up the collection again.

I am aware that the door fell off the GT500.

Probably my favorite, a 1999 Tony Stewart Rookie of the Year Grand Prix:

I'm not poor, but 300 € for a 1:18 Ferrari is too expensive. Is the 458 not out yet or what's the problem?

The Hotwheels Elite version will be around Eur 80,-. I expect them to be sold within 2-3 months 👍

Our whole haul today. Both the 1:18 cars came to $25.

Then I had some fun with the 240. It's not done yet, but it looks fine static.

And I got this a few weeks ago

And here is a pic of the cases I keep most of my 1/43 scale models in:

I still need about 5 or 6 more of these cases to hold the rest of my 1/43's lol...
