It's Bburago. Seriously never heard of it

Bburago are pretty good, they're very popular in Europe as they're an Italian company that mainly makes European cars. Or they were popular, anyway. You don't see them that much any more. When they lost the Ferrari licence to Hot Wheels their sales dropped massively (Bburago used to specialise in Ferrari's whole range) and I'm pretty sure they went into admin for a bit (edit: yes, it's all here on the wiki page).

I wouldn't say the quality is brilliant, though the die-casting is nice some of the smaller details, such as on the interior, aren't that detailed. I'm not sure if the more recent ones are any better.

Too much win.

Owh, no wonder they are pretty rare and that's why I never heard of them. Majority right here are HW, MBX and Maisto but I saw some numbers of Majorette last Sunday... I see they were making Ferraris and they lost the License to HW, then the sales dropped massively, maybe that is the case of the less popular here. But anyways, their car prices aren't cheap though.

Yeah I know the quality aren't brilliant but just great for a die-cast car in that scale. I am in a plan to buy a Bburago ''Street Fire'' Jaguar XF... I'm in a dream to get that car ;)

SVX
What year is that Mitsubishi Canter in the bottom left there?

Oh gawd, I will have to dig out the pic and zoom in to tell you that info. Err, gimme a couple of days to find it.

And I ordered two new 1/43's today...
An AutoART 2004 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren in metallic red and a Spark 2008 Lola B08/60 Aston Martin Coupe in Flat Black. Should have them by next week :)

I built a flying scale model of a castle. It looks like Tattershall Castle in Lincolnshire, complete with detailed crenellation including merlons and machicolation. Power is by Estes "D" motor, stabilization by ring-fins low down inside the walls, and recovery by means of two parachutes concealed in two of the four towers. I call it SkyCastle X-1, and claim to own the world's only flying castle.

Some pics of a couple of mine...

I know I had posted these years ago but I found out more, plus I was taking pictures for ebay, these are resin cast made by Q-MODEL a japanese maker, at the moment they are doing a few old ferrari racers and some 80s Japanese racers. they did a series of tuned R34's - I have also found they did a mine's, blitz and a nismo z tune. theres a shop selling them on ebay germany at the moment for €90 each :scared:
I don't know whether to hang on to them or carry on putting them on ebay, they are so scarce I can't figure out their worth

oh and :D

a model i got given years ago, i assume made from a kit, pretty neat tho :D

i saw someone mention bburago up there...their 1:43 were shockingly poor, but cheap anyway, I used to collect them as a kid, got a box somewhere of about 30 of the things. their larger models however were pretty good :)

nuts sorry, i clicked quote instead of edit!

Some of their 1:43 were actually very good, I thought. The castings were, anyway, they got the scale pretty good. They made very little effort on stuff like interiors and any stickers on the car were just that - stickers that peeled off rather than transfers or stamped images - but then you can't expect too much for the £1.50 they used to sell for.

I reckon with the care and attention some people seem to put into improving Matchbox and the like, you could make some brilliantly detailed Bburago 1:43 models.

I actually thought Bburago's 1:24 were less impressive. They often seemed out of proportion for some reason. Their 1:43 and 1:18 were much better.

My first Minichamps model, very nice indeed.
TORO%20ROSSO%20BOURDAIS2009.jpg

Yeah, they're very impressive models. It's a pity their price has gone beyond my means now! When I was younger I could happily spend the £15 or so required to get one, now that they're up to around £27 I can't really justify it!

One of my favourite Minichamps cars is my Benetton B194.

It was the first one I got by them and even back then the quality was exceptional. It's a pity they don't do the 1:64 scale any more (or if they do, I've not seen any for years). They would likely be much more wallet-friendly!

I was going to post pictures of my AutoArt 1/18: '06 Viper, but I already found pictures that someone had posted of theirs, so there was no point. Recently my household also got the AutoArt 1/18 Ford GT and Nissan GT-R.

AutoArt sure know their stuff. I guess one of the minor things I love about them is the fact that they use the manufacturer's paint on the cars.

I'm waiting for them to release a 370Z. I actually contacted them and whoever responded to me really didn't know cars and English wasn't their first language. Which would be appropriate given that their offices are actually in Hong Kong.

I'm wondering if you'd be able to provide me with any news or information regarding any potential Nissan 370Z models that would be upcoming?

Dear Mr. Lo,
We are going to release the Nissan Fairlady Z Version Nismo Type 380RS by end of this month.
Please visit our online website www.aa-collection.com regularly to check details on our new rleeases and current models.
Best regards,
AA Collection Ltd

My apologies for my mistake in the previous email. In Australia the new model Z is called the 370Z. In Hong Kong and Japan the car will be named the Fairlady Z (Z34). How long will it be before a 1:18 scale model is released for the Z34 Fairlady?

I actually attached pictures at this point.

Their response was:

Dear Mr.Lo,
We are not interested in making Nissan Skyline 380RS bases on Z33 in the future.
Best regards,

I was sitting here thinking WTF!?

Well after trawling through hmmmm......I'd say 100 ish pages of this thread, I just had to dig out my (compared to others, meger collection.....if you could call it that) :indiff:

Starting off with my Maisto 1:18 Chrysler Pronto Cruizer.

Maisto 1:18 Ford GT90.

Maisto 1:18 Audi R8R Le Mans (1999)

And (yet again) my Maisto 1:12 Jaguar XJ220.

And finally my last one, although it is an RC car I'm still counting it as I cant find the control for it :dopey:

One last picture

I apologize for the size of the post :nervous:

My best minichamps is still the 1:18 Vettel BMW Sauber from 2007 Indianapolis. Purchased for £55 worth upto £200 so far, limited to 1002 pcs. :D A wise buy if you ask me.

I would really love to have a 1:18 scale model of the new FPV F6 Sedan.

Can't find one anywhere though, does anyone know where i could find one?

That'd be difficult. The Falcon is really only manufactured for Australia and no where else. *fingers crossed the Taurus and Mustang come over to replace it*

I reckon you could try looking for Official Ford Merchandise first, although obviously the quality won't be as good, it'd be a good starting point nonetheless. I can't think of any real dedicated scale model car companies in Australia. There is a shop in Melbourne City that has a heap of scale models with plenty of Australian cars, a store like that would be a good place to ask your questions I reckon. The guys behind the counter usually know.

They are very pricey now. Especially the 1/18s going between 50 and 65 pounds.

But they do look dam sexy!

So, I'm planning to order a brand new Reventón model from a german site that has a great collection (modellauto18.de, if someone's interested) and I wondered if any of you had one. I don't know which to choose, because there are two versions of the car, one by Autoart and one by Burago. Any ideas? Anyway, here's the link.

I do not have the place to put many, so I do not buy many models.
Do not have any Autoart as far as I remember.

Last one I bought:
4454150700_0dd688d7bb.jpg

Have only one 1/18, a Burago Lamborghini Countach
Rest in 1/24 Ferrari 348, and a 308 GTB (I believe)
Then some that are even smaller size models like a Porsche 959, Ferrari Testarossa, ...

Might have been better to post in: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=29704

This just reminded me to check out how much the Exoto Sauber C9 rolling chassis set is nowadays, there's one on eBay for £1,400... Pretty obscene haha.

EDIT: Seems like the Minichamps McLaren F1 GTR LM Winner has shot up in price too...
