also agreed to buy daan's gt40 :)

I heard that if you could get him to sign the car, right along with one of his one-liners, *value of the model actually goes up.

Seriously though, beautifully detailed model. And IMO, GT-40 = Best Ford Car EVER!

*only true if the buyer is from the gtplanet. lol

Weeee

I need to get some more shelves, running out of display space lol...

You also need a more secure one. In even a small earthquake those would come right down and get damaged. I'd recommend having them secured onto something rather than loosely sitting on it.

Hey guys, I'm not really a scale model person (got a couple at home, an F40 and a very old Alfa (can't name it though..)), although that's probably mostly due to the fact I can't really afford to collect anything at the moment... (If I did it would probably be sports cars- Group C, LMP's, GTs etc...), but I wanted to ask you guys a question. I bought the sig. edn of GT5 when it came out, and was wondering how much the limited SLS model would be worth if I sold it (pretty low on cash right now :[ ) It's unboxed, perfect condition bar one slight nudge on the box, but this doesn't affect the model at all. Thanks 👍

LOL, I'm not worried about earthquakes out here. I ain't near any major seismic zones (nearest major one is the New Madrid Seismic Zone, around 500 miles away), and even that one has very little activity compared to back when I was living in California. Here I am more worried about flooding and tornadoes. :sly:

Anyway I might get some more pics later lol

Nice Cobra pic. 👍

And you've given me an idea.

I could get 2 of those "invisible bracket" shelves and put them either side of my Gilles picture and put his 312T4 on one of them, and something else related to Ferrari/Gilles on the other.

Aaaah. Well I don't have to worry about tornadoes, but flooding... Yep, and earthquakes? Well New Zealand sits on a fault line so we have to consider that.

Not sure if there would be much room on the right? You can get 3 sizes and mine is the middle 70cm one. Got it from b&q but they sell them in Argos for £10 less. Also if they tell you the fitting screws come with them don't believe them cause they don't!

I have a couple Exotos I got years ago, but as for BBR and CMC I have non. Much of my collection is made up of AUTOarts and Kyoshos, along with other random brands like GMP, Spark, and Minichamps. Also have a decent amount of low-end models. I would have liked the CMC Ferrari 250 SWB, 300SLR Coupe, and McLaren SLR, but they are either hard to find or well out of my price range. I generally stick to models under $150 USD. So far only my AUTOart 1997 R390 GT1 and my pre-ordered Spark Dauer 962 are above that.

I was thinking that, you seem to be able to go for 3/4 models a month so clearly money isn't an issue but going from 4 - 1 month would stop the collection growing so much

lol, because of this spree, I won't be getting any more models for a few months. Only reason I managed this little spree was because of income tax return lol...

I have just recently got into collecting 1/18th scale cars, and I have spent alittle over $75 on 6 perfectly shaped cars.

Maisto Ferrari 550 Maranello
Maisto Ford Mustang Svt Cobra R
Maisto Jaguar XJ220
MotorMax Volkswagon Nardo
Anson Porsche 911 Turbo Gt2
(prized possesion) Burago Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa (1957)

Now I was wondering where to get some 1/18th scale racecars for a cheap price. Anway I hope to post some pictures later so look for them!

Finally time for me to post pics here. :) Great stuff! Really wish I had the money to buy the better detailed models like Autoart. :( Here's the stuff I currently have:

Bought this RT/10 from a yard sale a couple years ago.

As a kid, my parents were big on Toyota and I followed them. My friend bought me this back in 5th grade.

Lighting kind of makes the Viper's front bumper look like a different color.

Forgot what company made these. (apart from the Hot Wheels RX-7 in the front)

Parents let me put some of my other models in the glass cabinet. :D

Nice collection you got there Medigo! But I have to say this......

A SCALE MODEL SUPRA MKIV, FD3S RX7, FERARRI F50 and a MODIFIED RX7?!?!

Tell me who makes these? I do believe that the modified C-West RX7 is a JadaToys model. But I been looking for a stock RX7, F50 and a MK4 Supra model for a loooonnnggg time. So I can put them in my model car collection.👍

Oh yeah, your Impreza WRX "bugeye" and DC5 Type-R look like the rare and unique Maisto Tuner Car Series. I don't see those type of cars in a long time. You got something rare bro, take care of them. :)👍

I didn't know the Impreza bugeye and RSX Type-R were rare! :scared: They've been left out to be all dusty... :( They used to be my friend's, but he's not a big fan of Japanese cars so he gave them to me for free, but missing some of the add-on parts. (Places them in glass cabinet) I believe the C-West RX-7 is from Hot Wheels, says so on the car. >_> And the MKIV Supra, RX-7, C-Class, and 3-Series for some reason don't have any name of the manufacture on them at all. They were also handed to me for free from my friend. In the past he was a pretty big collector, but times have changed since we got older. The Ferrari's were a part of this "build it yourself" kind of small kit. Came with a mini screw and two wheel options. My brother and I used to go out and buy them from Walmart for quite a while before he went off to college. I wish they still made them... :indiff:

Speaking of Maisto, forgot to add this bugeye rollback Impreza!

Yeah, this R390 is epic win. Detail level is above the older AUTOart Signature release Mazda 787B, though not by much. Only thing AA needs now are Exoto/CMC style removable wheels :P
