I have the autoart GT One, but I don't think the detail of the engine is even comparable to the R390. I love my GT One, but completely outclassed.

edit: I just looked at mine, it wasn't as bad as I remembered. Still not as good as the R390 in Venom's pic.

How cool is that. 👍 If I was in the hobby, I'd have to have the Ghostbusters & A-Team, also.

I didn't know the Impreza bugeye and RSX Type-R were rare! :scared: They've been left out to be all dusty... :( They used to be my friend's, but he's not a big fan of Japanese cars so he gave them to me for free, but missing some of the add-on parts. (Places them in glass cabinet) I believe the C-West RX-7 is from Hot Wheels, says so on the car. >_> And the MKIV Supra, RX-7, C-Class, and 3-Series for some reason don't have any name of the manufacture on them at all. They were also handed to me for free from my friend. In the past he was a pretty big collector, but times have changed since we got older. The Ferrari's were a part of this "build it yourself" kind of small kit. Came with a mini screw and two wheel options. My brother and I used to go out and buy them from Walmart for quite a while before he went off to college. I wish they still made them... :indiff:

Speaking of Maisto, forgot to add this bugeye rollback Impreza!

Yep, the GDB-1 WRX and DC5 are a rare Masito scale series, they also have a exclusive Honda S2K as well, but he's mostly not for sale in North America though:grumpy:.

Woah I didn't know that Hot Wheels make model car scales tuners! Hot Wheels do make 1:18 cars, but they are usually not modified or they are race cars. I have a 1:18 Porsche 911 GT3 (996) from HW and that's was hard to find, and don't get me started on the TVR Speed 12 they made. So, you have another rare car also.

Is that F50 part of Maisto Assembely Line Series? I seen the F50 and the Roadster F50 as a 1:18 scale model on the website before.

I have a WRX bugeye myself, as a 1:24 model I built when I was 11 years old. Still got him in good condition. :D

Yeah, that R390 is a beauty right there. A '97 R390 Unisia Jecs #22. Reminds me of the one on GT2.

Putting the R390s, TS020, 787B and few others on my most wanted list.

Here's a picture of the 1:43 scale RX-7 from Hot Wheels:

The F50 was a part of the assembly line kits. I really do miss these...

Sad to say that nearly all of my scale models are basically free gifts from a friend. (Aka, handed down) Parents never really let me get the larger scale models as a kid. Mainly because as a kid I ruined my old maroon 1:18 Maisto BMW 850i... Punching myself for absolutely destroying it as a kid. :(

Hey! You can start again. I had several 1:24 cars in my collection when I was a kid. I had several Ford Explorers I always wrecked, but my Mustang GT was in good condition, it was broken in, but I was better than the Explorers. But since I'm older, I take care of them like I would do to a real car now.

I began buying them back in 2001-2002 and haven't looked backed. But stopped since they are expensive. But go and find some, and build the collection again.

When I get my two new models I'll try and post pictures of my collection. I got a 1/43 Toyota 7 and a 1/43 Toyota GT-One Race car model off of eBay the other day.

Been looking (and drooling) through the maisto catalog and I can't help but miss the times when I could go out to places like Walmart and Toys R Us to pick up scale models. Since I've only recently thought about bringing back up my collection, what happened to retail stores carrying them? They're just not on shelves anymore... :(

Does anyone know where I can get some wheels for a 1/18 model that isnt from another one? If it has to be from another model, what is the closest that I could get to one of these:
964t-3.6speedline.jpg

Also, I have been trying to remove these pieces that were re-assembled wrong by the last owner, does anyone know what I can use to remove them? some sort of liquid?

Lastly, for this 993tt proyect I'm doing right now I was starting to really consider arena red since I recently have started to really like that color. I originally wanted black, which is much easier to fin, but sort of boring, so any tips on what paint is closest to arena red? I hope to keep going on this proyect when summer starts and we get some better weather for painting

^ Since today we were moving rooms around my dad gave me initially five 1/43 models and that was one of them. I also got a Toyota Corona, Nissan 240Z, Nissan Skyline '71, and a Celica with a case like that which my dumbass brother took. It made my Toyota model shelf look nice since it had the same case as the Corolla and made it symmetrical which now it is not so I'm looking for something with a case like that.

Ive been posting in the Matchbox and Hotwheels thread for a while now and I though I would share some of my larger scale cars with you guys here.

This is probably my rarest model. Its a Ford XM Falcon Wagon. It was given to me by my mum's uncle who used to work building the real car. Ive been told it is a demo model that the dealers used in the showrooms. All my other cars are still packed away in boxes after the move and will probably stay that way for a while as I dont have any room to get them out in this house

Awesome, Ben. Those dealer demo cars are always very very rare to come by, much less with a history like yours. Very cool.

Where did you get that 993 GT2 scale from? And who makes it? I love it 👍

It's made by UT models, it was discontinued more than 10 years ago so your best bet is ebay. Expect to pay ~150 for a good one. I got this one for half that much since the windows are a little fogged up and the top part of the wing was replaced with the one you see, but to me it was well worth saving the money. The model has very good quality, especially for the time it was built. You won't get as much detail as some other, newer models in the same price range but it's definitely better than the anson 993 turbo that is also in the picture awaiting a repaint

EDIT: If you can, get this one, it's at a fantastic price for the condition it's in and it even comes with a display case

If that one had been for sale when I got mine I would have gotten it instead

oh finally a modelcar thread :)
I mainly collect Autoart Corvette's.

But wat I wanted to say is;

according to insiders Autoart is developing a Redbull X1 (X2010) in 1:18 scale
there weren't any mentions about multiple colours only the Redbull livery.
I only worry about one thing : the price :scared:

Got myself an F40 for $15 bucks, it has its details and scratches but it's in pretty good condition and with some paint and polish it'll be looking right at home with the other ones, but for now it goes at the back:

Really?!?!

A Redbull X1!!!!

I'll take a look on the info later then. But yep, AutoArt's race cars( LMPs/Group Cs, JGTC/Super GTs, DTMs, Rally cars etc.) are the most expensive scales that they make. The road cars are cheaper than the racers.

Love to buy it, but I have to see the price. :scared:

Wit some of my extra birthday money I decided to buy an AutoArt Porsche 944 Turbo model. $120 with shipping. Luckily only had to pay $80. Not only that but also a Lexus LFA 1/43 for Christmas since I don't wanna spend more.

This. It will probably be something ridiculous like $500 usd like the AutoArt 787B. :grumpy:

AA 787B is $200 USD for the re-release, up from $150 USD. The GT5 Stealth one is like $280 IIRC. Depending on how much of the X2010 opens up, It could be anywhere from $150 to $300 USD going by AA's current prices.

*EDIT*
GT5 Stealth 787B is $250 on one of the sites I buy from...
My 1997 Nissan R390 #22 was like $200 USD plus shipping for me (more detailed than the 787B too)

Hey :)
I haven't visited in this thread before but I've just gotten into collecting 1:18 scale cars. 👍 I really like the AutoArt models and was wondering is any of you knew when the Ford GT LM car was getting released? Thanks! :)
