That LM GT is now on my shoppinglist. Damn that looks sweeeet!!!
Those are air intakesstingThat RSR looks sweet, and yeah I'm another person who loves the livery. What the deal with the racing exhausts under the engine cover and then the normal exhausts under the bumper?
Uh, the Corvette model you posted appears to be a black Guldstrand Covette.
Its got the exact body of the 50th Anniversary model.
Available as a coupe, hardtop or convertible, the Specter Werkes' Corvette GTR is a complete package that combines both aggressive looks and asphalt hugging performance.
Thats a sweet looking car 👍 since I can only see it from the outside, how detailed is the interior?induceWhat about the latest GT3 RSR Dealer Edition by Minichamps? Just got one from eBay.
Must say that I love both the car and the livery. But I'll let the pictures speak for themself.

I retract my statement.MustangSVThttp://www.spectergtr.com/corvette/gtr.html
Well it says it's a Specter Corvette GTR on their site.
Man, that 911 GT3 RSR is nice.
Same thing for me. It's pretty cool eh. I'm easily impressed, but the this Specter Corvette C5 is IMO my best quality Maisto car that I have so far.McLaren F1GTRBlack with silver strips for me!![]()
There are rumours that AA has cancelled the 2004 GT3-RSR and is planning to make the 2005 GT3-RSR. I don't know if this has any merits as it has not confirmed by an AA rep. Chances are that they will make the GT3-RSR sooner or later since the current GT3-RS is a cash cow for them. But it remains to be seen whether MC or AA will do a better job of recreating the GT3-RSR.PunkRockHmmm, I'm going to need myself a GT3RSR... Thought AA was going to do it, though.
MustangSVTDoes anyone here buy from scale18.com? Are they reliable? I read they're from Vancouver, so being in Canada myself, I don't like the idea of buying from an american site, I don't want to find a surprise duty tax or anything like that.![]()
Also, has anyone ever bought from Maisto's online site? This is it: http://www.shopatron.com/index/288.0
Anyway, it seems pretty nice, Maisto cars are reasonably priced enough for me, but it would cost me around $35cad/car to get it online from them (including shipping) if I buy like 2-3 cars, but only for ones that I really wouldn't be able to find in store, like the Dauer EB110 in black (carbon fiber), the Merc SLR, and the Lambo Diablo SV (![]()
). They've also got some really nice GT cars that I haven't really seen in stores. I saw their BMW V12 LMR (1/18) in a small store in Desenzano, Italy (by that big lake in mid-north Italy), but it was 30euro at the time and I only had room for 1 1/18 car, and I opted to get a Ferrari Enzo by Hot Wheels.
So yeah, they got some cool more "affordable" GT cars, but the "affordable" is kinda stretching it. With international shipping (non-US, yea right like Canada is that far), it'd be like oh $65cad/car for 2 cars, so yeah.. and that's just for like a Porsche 911 GT1 and Audi R8. Anyway, that's a lot of money, and it'll prolly take me another year, maybe if I work next summer, to be able to afford this kind of stuff.
For now, I'll stick with the local stores, and I'll get my dad to buy me an AUTOart car for xmas/b-day (somethin that's worth the $80cad), and I might get around to trying to get a McLaren F1 1/18 by maisto online and/or a Mercedes SLR also 1/18 by maisto, depends on how affordable I can find them.
I couldn't agree more. IMO, quality is better than quantity. Space restriction also something to think about when you have a large collection to display at once. Having said that, I'm guessing most of the collectors on this forum are still in school and has little disposable income to spend on diecast so they have to resort to buying low end 1/18s.BlackZ28You need to upgrade from maisto, friend. Although, we all have maisto models, just not where the pride is. Sometimes on eBay you can get a good deal on other brands.👍
👍👍twistedspoonSo if you ask me, I would say to buy one Autoart than three or four Maistos. 👍
I'm doing fine buying from Maisto. While not the best, they are very good models.BlackZ28You need to upgrade from maisto, friend. Although, we all have maisto models, just not where the pride is. Sometimes on eBay you can get a good deal on other brands.👍
You got that right, I'm only 17 with no job. My parents are paying for all of my university and I'm gonna get a *decent* 2nd hand car very soon. You can't expect me to ask much more of them. I consider myself very lucky as it is that they are paying for my university and car and that on top of that, my dad shares some of my car passion and is willing to buy me some more scale cars every so often.Having said that, I'm guessing most of the collectors on this forum are still in school and has little disposable income to spend on diecast so they have to resort to buying low end 1/18s.
Well it depends on how the person starts out. When I was younger (until 13yo), I lived in a much poorer country where being able to afford a 1/18 Bburago for your child was considered pretty much a luxury. it wasn't *that* expensive, but 99% of people would look away when they'd see the price, and even 1/24 Bburago cars were considered pretty expensive. My dad was one of very few people I knew that bought his kid a car or two in time, the only other person was my dad's boss who made a ****load of money, and I still had more cars than his kid. Anyway, I've learned to cherish and appreciate all of my cars, and esp. my older Bburago 1/18 cars which I got in my home country, they all have some kind of history behind them.o if you ask me, I would say to buy one Autoart than three or four Maistos.
Porsche nut, eh? Do you have pics of your collection?induceYea, diecast car collecting is really an area where you want to choose quality over quantity. I'd rather pick a specific brand of cars, Porsche for instance, and buy those that are really well built. I could of course buy many other brands and have equally many Porsches if I could do with slightly less well-built models. However, in the end, I know that I'd be more happy over my crazy Porsche collection... I am after all a mad perfectionist![]()

I wouldnt ever call maisto "very good." They're far from it, my other models have felt interiors and much better molding, especially the underside/chassis and engine.McLaren F1GTRI'm doing fine buying from Maisto. While not the best, they are very good models.
I don't have time to always be buying $50 models when I could get a $10.00 Maisto.
Hell, you really can't see any difference from my AutoArt Murcielagos compared to my Maistos besides a bit clearer logos and such. The interior is rarely looked at, so I have no problem with my $10 1/18 deals.
Well, that's your opinion.BlackZ28I wouldnt ever call maisto "very good." They're far from it, my other models have felt interiors and much better molding, especially the underside/chassis and engine.
