are there any 1:18 Sauber Mercedes C9s around?
I've got the Mike Thackwell Michelin one, which IMO looks better than the silver ones.

Enough said.
Last I heard models are for look anyways. Might we well start buying toys.
I guess they[maisto] are for playing with. I once shot up a maisto F50 with my pellet gun. 👍
Certainly didnt make it worth any less.
Oh, come on! I agree that Maisto models are not high quality, but I'd never throw one off a clif or run over it with a real car. They have their place. They're inexpensive, so of course they're not as good as AutoArt, Minichamps, and the like. But who honestly has 50-100 dollars to spend on every model? I have 4 or 5 maistos in my collection. Right now I've got one next to an 80 dollar F1 car and a 100 dollar BMW. Even a foot away, it looks just as good on the outside as those other cars. Any passer-by won't tell the difference unless they examine it in detail. I'll pay top dollar for a car that I really really want, but if it's just a car I like okay and think it would look good in my collection, Maisto isn't a bad way to go.

Bburago, on the other, didn't seem to have enough money to make rear view mirror bodywork for my silver Aston Martin Vanquish. :ouch:

That Exoto Sauber C9 is really sweet, have to get one sooner or later I guess. Hopefully Exoto will release the 956 and 962 Porsches soon too. I'm so eager to lay my hands on those Rothman beauties.

Very nice. 👍 And I agree that the Michelin C9 looks better than the Le Mans cars. If I come across a deal for this 1/18, I'll definitely get one. But being a collector of race cars (and a Le Mans fan no less), I'd prefer to get historically important cars such as race/class and champions winners first. :)

RACECAR
so they are by Exoto. That looks great 👍
Speaking of Exoto, aren't they involved with producing some models of the DBR9?
Actually, that would be Autoart.
Chances are that the DBR9s would be in their motorsport division (read: sealed models with no openings). :embarrassed:

Correct they are AutoArt the they are producing 3 versions:

Numbers 58 and 59 from this years Le Mans and they are also going to make a model of the silver roadgoing version of the DBR9 which also looks beautiful. Expected around the 2nd quarter of 2006 according to Die Cast Legends.

well, earlier in the year,I thought I heard about them saying they were sponsoring the cars and they were going to produce some 1:43s scale cars.
BTW, what the hell is with the "Sealed body shells"? :grumpy: AA did that with the JGTC skylines and The Bentley Speed 8s. if models are for show, then what is this supposed to do?

What do you mean by Gran Turismo cars? Are you talking about any car that has shown up in GT or the Nissan Skyline Pace Car and 350Z GT Edition?

Just wondering, where did yours? The 787B is not released yet.
Did you mistaken it with another car? :sly:

it might be a 1:43 scale by IXO, or the Tamiya model kit.

Thanks sting. I wasn't even thinking about 1/43s and 1/24s at the time I wrote my reply. :embarrassed:
I was inherently thinking about 1/18s since this is a thread about 1/18s. :)
