Oh, come on! I agree that Maisto models are not high quality, but I'd never throw one off a clif or run over it with a real car. They have their place. They're inexpensive, so of course they're not as good as AutoArt, Minichamps, and the like. But who honestly has 50-100 dollars to spend on every model? I have 4 or 5 maistos in my collection. Right now I've got one next to an 80 dollar F1 car and a 100 dollar BMW. Even a foot away, it looks just as good on the outside as those other cars. Any passer-by won't tell the difference unless they examine it in detail. I'll pay top dollar for a car that I really really want, but if it's just a car I like okay and think it would look good in my collection, Maisto isn't a bad way to go.BlackZ28Enough said.
Last I heard models are for look anyways. Might we well start buying toys.
I guess they[maisto] are for playing with. I once shot up a maisto F50 with my pellet gun. 👍
Certainly didnt make it worth any less.
Very nice. 👍 And I agree that the Michelin C9 looks better than the Le Mans cars. If I come across a deal for this 1/18, I'll definitely get one. But being a collector of race cars (and a Le Mans fan no less), I'd prefer to get historically important cars such as race/class and champions winners first.daanI've got the Mike Thackwell Michelin one, which IMO looks better than the silver ones.
Actually, that would be Autoart.RACECARso they are by Exoto. That looks great 👍
Speaking of Exoto, aren't they involved with producing some models of the DBR9?
twistedspoonActually, that would be Autoart.
Chances are that the DBR9s would be in their motorsport division (read: sealed models with no openings).![]()
well, earlier in the year,I thought I heard about them saying they were sponsoring the cars and they were going to produce some 1:43s scale cars.twistedspoonActually, that would be Autoart.
