Pics of the event in progress would be most welcome.

Here you go.

This is a selection, as there are a lot of interesting displays.

Dear mother of all that's good. Incredible. Hell I'd pay just to see the hyper-rare Fiat. But there's so much eye candy there. Amazing event!

I agree - can't wait to throw this up on the 'big screen'. I will be immersed right away.

@Ramanujan - thanks for taking the trouble, bud. Nice job. 👍
Gad, I would have spent all day in there examining each and every model - and of course taking photos like crazy.
Is the public allowed to shoot?

There is a hobby store nearby and I can't help to stop often and paste my face against the window.

But after awhile everything gets fogged up and I mosey off in a daze.

Hi guys. I am considering buying a 1:18 Daniel Ricciardo Canadian GP winner but unsure whether to get the Minichamps or Spark version. Would anyone be able to shed some light on what the better option would be as both are relatively the same price (Spark is about 40-50 AUD more).
Thanks

^^I'm sorry to cut you off^^

I had few diecasts in the display at my work, but I'm being moved to another section soon, away from the displays, so I'm in process of moving some of my toys away. :( Today, this was one of them:

GMP 1/18 Street Fighter '91 Mustang GT

Wow that thing is HOT. I love the color and the centrifugal supercharger. Awesome awesome model, A6 👍
Thank you, dude. It has mad little details, but I'm not a fan. :P Red Steeda in the bottom thumbnail is my love. :embarrassed: Blue one, I I got it cheap to flip it on eBay someday. It's already on there as of this evening. lol

Well that is one lovely Mustang. Even while being a model of a customized Mustang (not saying you customized it, mind you, I'm saying that the car was already released like that), it's a very well-detailed car. I personally love the engine bay, it's pristine in aspect and excellent in detail. Regardless of being equally great, the Red Steeda shouldn't really take away from this car, to be honest, it's also a very good model.

^
The nice thing about the 1:18 is that one can open the doors, take off the engine cowling, etc.
I have a few 1:32s and 1:43s, though, where the doors can be opened.

Can't be a hair. Must be a krait. :D ;)

Super model, @Ramanujan. All told, 1:43s are more or less my favourite size when it comes to dioramas - so easy to work with; not too small, not too large.
Also: the diorama set-ups at your exhibition - can you tell us something about it? They look just . . . . well, to keep it simple: totally awesome.

If all pic dumps looked like yours, Venom, then I'd gladly accept all of them.

The 8 Series is sexy and the Porsche is badass, but that Ferrari takes the cake by far. It's simply incredible how well that car is detailed, and how beautiful it is. Seriously, great stuff from GMP.👍

I went to a model show once before and I thought that was spectacular. But this looks like something else to a mad hobbyist like me

Sorry i overlooked this question.
It is not "my" exhibition. I just have some stuff that is part of it.

All the dioramas are citroen buildings, all build by the same guy.
He also modified the citroen cars in his display.
His site is www.citromodel.nl where you can check the build proces.

The biggest building with its own place is the citroen building in amsterdam.

The campers with much detail are scratchbuild excluding the wheels and chassis.

That's okay, Ram - I know what I meant - it's more idiomatic than factual - as in someone saying "Come over to my country for a visit," or "My forum has a much better community than yours" - but the people are not really being possessive when they say 'my'. I got the impression it was a whole group of exhibitors - was I right?

That is so mind-boggling - that we humans have such an interest in this.

Not that I'm complaining. Great stuff and a refreshing breath of fresh air in the thread. 👍

I'm just blown away at the 1:43 buses he made from scratch, i seen the entire process and i still couldn't believe my eyes.

Holy sh... Ahem, sorry. But that is just awesome, I adore the GT LM Spec II, and that model is great. 👍
Thank you!

Been wanting one for while, but couldn't afford one in the secondary market. Not fair to those who already owned these, but thanks to the re-release, I'll be able to get both black and white for the price of one.

Hey, if it means you can get those two models quickly and for a cheaper price, I'd call that fair game. Better to have the models you want than not having them at all...

By the by, what company makes those models?
