I'll keep it brief, but here's the biggie of what I've done so far with that FD.

Slapped down that Tamiya Epoxy Putty.

Went to town with the file and palette of sandpaper.

I took out the mold that holds the frontl icense plate. The front and rear bumper have been cut as well. I will be working on a slightly modified front bumper, as well as ading a mild skirt and rear diffuser. I may have to make my own exhaust pipe as well.

I can't believe I'm actually procrastinating with hobbies now.

This is all I have since the last time. I went two rounds on the putty. I'm aiming for a flat look, but I'm going to add another flat plane underneath all that to make the splitter more noticeable.

My excuse to not do too much work is that I want to keep the bodywork very light on aftermarket styling. Granted how little the duckbill spans, I don't feel widening the fenders will do it any good. Therefore, I'm trying what I can to reduce the ground clearance without giving it too much flashiness around the lower half of the car- skirts and front bumper that is.

Can always get a sheet of styrene plastic and cut it to the shape of the front splitter, would probably be easier than making the splitter entirely out of putty. 👍

@photonrider not sure what you mean the exposition only opens for the public on 1-7.
So i do not have any reactions from regular visitors to the model cars.
From constructing the display cabinet i got some very nice reactions from fellow Namac members who have other dispays.

Oh wow, those are amazing and the Competizione is just  .
If I may ask, what type of lense are you using ( if you are using one )?
Thanks!
Just using a Canon Power Shot A650IS point and shoot, which is what most of my pics from the past couple years were taken with. Some pics were taken with my Canon Power Shot 110HS. So no fancy DSLR with interchangeable lenses lol

Looks like Goodwood won't be the only place where you can find this:

LM55.jpg

Japanese scale model company Interallied will make a 1/43 scale model of the Mazda LM55 as part of their Modeler's brand, meaning that the LM55 will join the Nissan 2020 and the Alpine VGT as part of the VGT cars that have scale cars under their belt. Not entirely surprising if you know the Interallied company; they already have a handful of great Mazda cars within their Over Steer moniker (these ones are 1/64 cars, by the way), including the new 2/Demio, the 3/Axela, as well as the CX-3 and the new MX-5/Roadster...

Here's the page where I found this (if anyone knows Japanese and want to translate the text, be my guest, haha): http://www.interallied.co.jp/main/NewGoodsAD.htm#LM55

Late edit: Looks like Modeler's is working fast;

This here is the mould for the LM55, in case you cannot tell already. So far, so good, I reckon. I can't wait to see the finished product...

So I don't know if you big car collectors are aware about the situation with Bburago and Ferrari, but basically they have exclusive rights to produce Ferrari-brand scale models right now.

That was a sad day for 1:64 collectors as the castings they dished out could not match Kyosho's quality (no offense @RCKakashi14), but here's a 1:10 I just learned about:

At least the larger scales are looking great!

The lack of side windows and rotating disks/stationary calipers on normal non-new Ferrari models are probably the biggest issues I have with Maisto/Bburago models. I am looking foreward to their Ferrari California T in 1/18 though...

Also I must have that 1/43 Mazda LM55

Indeed, at least there doesn't seem to be any bad casting issues with the larger Bburago models... Then again, that's what Bburago specialized for during many years of their life, so I'm not entirely surprised. So we can be happy that some of the new Ferrari licensed scale models aren't dishonoring the brand.

You and me both, bud. From what I gathered, Modeler's have some great resin 1/43 models, so this LM55 will look very good compared to its diecast VGT rivals (the Nissan and the Alpine). Too bad that also reflects on the price, but then again I already got used to that with Japanese scale model car companies. Oh well...

New arrivals in the store:

Just a bunch of 1:43s. :P

"Just a bunch", he says... Funny you, it ain't just a bunch of 1/43s, it's an awesome bunch of 1/43s; AutoArts (including a great set of Aventador Js), some Ebbros (the model variety could be better, but it's not that bad) and Initial D Modeler's (the irony, eh? It's like the shop in your area is preparing for a new release or something :sly:)...

My bad, Ram - I mistook the dates. I fly so swiftly through the fora I patronise that I need to improve my speed-reading skills. :) I was curious, though about the level of interest in this hobby that exists over there. I have seen a most amazing collection in your possession, and no doubt whoever is there to see it IRL is going to be awed.
Pics of the event in progress would be most welcome.

I posted awhile back here hoping the LM55 would be made into a die-cast. I see the good news now!
