Just saw one on eBay, $388 USD + $38 shipping. That is about 3300 HKD/Macau dollars, or twice as much as the original price(1600 HKD)

Life didn't not play in our favour today. edit: There was a 1/43 by another seller, and I copped it up just now.

Also, IG low-key slipped this one into stores for April 2017:

240ZG HS30 #23 Racing. Kinda cool!

Planned for 160pcs! Nice!

There is another one, located in Toronto out of all places. The seller is asking for 600 Canadian dollars.

I just bought this 1:18 Audi R18 e-tron quattro #2 2014. I think it is one of the nicest LMP cars in recent years. It is a car I have been saying I must buy for a long time now and with Audi gone from sportscars now they could sell quickly. The #2 is my favourite one as I like the red mirrors and it is the one I always choose in PCars.

How the hell did he get one so fast? Either way, I submitted an offer :P

I don't know if he is legit or not, he sells mostly suits on his store. WTF?

And I've just watched the entire Macau GT race on youtube, O'Young had a bad day with his 991, ended up with a DNF in the final lap. Ouch.

He declined my offer for $320. We'll see where I can take this. Upon further inspection, I don't find the form of this car particularly attractive, so I may not push myself as hard as I did to get the Aston.

Sweet. No sellers marking up prices because of a "winning car" status.

One thing really bothers me with both the Aston and 991 is the lack of the number boards on the livery, the model just looks incomplete without it. So even though I am a huge 991 fan, at this price point it's unrealistic for me to purchase one now. As other Spark 991 GT3 Rs are coming out in the upcoming months anyway, so I will just buy one of those instead.

Really? It looks so good imo

There's something about the overall front shape (if you look at it from the side) where it's pointy in such as way I personally find ugly.

It's probably how the body cuts straight down at that particular angle, but it may also be because the visual mass of orifices in the front doesn't balance well with the amount of body surface.

Also am not a fan of how the riveted fender cuts off in the back. Doesn't work for this car.

I do however like the Z like this:

Tons of intricate details in the front due to all the grills. The busy-ness of the lines is balanced by the blinker light's plain shape and the front splitter (if you can call it that). Also, that's the kind of flared fender I like on the Z.

Edit: No no no wait. It's totally because of how pointy that nose is. The Pandem being pointer than stock is probably the biggest drawback for me.

I didn't think it looked any pointier, but I see your point. 👍 I will most likely just get fender flares for my RL 260Z, as the Pandem kit wouldn't fit anyway. (Or. It would. But it'd lookk weird)

Looks like listing on eBay has helped, at the cost of seller fees and having to accept lower prices.

I just sold my Lola T70 and 964 Martini. This is great stuff. Now we're hoping the WSC-95, S1 Quattro and possibly NSX will go just as fast.

I bought this model car quite some time ago (around 11/10), but it's only recently that I've got time to take pics and post them here...

Anyways, the purchase of this model represents the first time I step into the realm of proper 1/43 model cars, excluding a poorly made BMW Z8. The original price of this model was around 18 USD, which I wouldn't buy, even if it included a thin magazine. But since it was the company's first edition, it was sold at ~7.5 USD, which was acceptable to me.

I believe this car was manufactured by Ixo, but somehow it was branded as a DeAgostini. I searched on Google, and noticed that these are below normal Ixos in terms of details. The quality is pretty fine for a $7.5 model car. The only imperfections are a rear spoiler which wasn't glued on one side, and a spot of glue on the front left of the car. The interior is OK, with decals to depict the dashboard, instrument panel and seatbelts. It has a base and an acrylic cover, which is pretty nice. One thing I like is it actually features tyre wall markings. It doesn't feature brake discs and calipers though, which is a bit of a disappointment, but then, what do you expect from a $7.5 model car?

Here are some pictures of the car. Notice that the antenna is misaligned, due to me inadvertently dropping the car roof-first onto a desk one time.

Here is my best attempt at taking photos of the interior:

And here is one extra photo, this time playing with light painting.

I actually bought more model cars, but I didn't have enough time to take photos of them, so I'll leave it for next time.

One last question: do all Ixo model cars come screwed to the base with a screw that can only be loosened by a triangular screwdriver? It was quite a hassle trying to unscrew it, and I actually needed to buy a whole new set of screwdrivers just to unscrew the next car I bought from Ixo.

Just shipped out the Martini 964, and updated my spreadsheets to calculate the net gain/loss. Man, I am hurting myself when I sell these things off.

only be loosened by a triangular screwdriver?

if your screw looked like this:

then a cheap hack is to use this:

A flat-head precision screwdriver. :P

Oh man, I hate those triangular screws. I have about 50 1/43 rally models and I swear half of them had triangle screws. Fortunately, I found needle-nose pliers that work perfectly.

Speaking of which, I recently got 10 new 1/43 rally cars to replace other models that I didn't quite like, whether it was poor quality, or a livery I didn't like. I'll take pictures once they've all arrived, still waiting on 3 of the 10.

1. Subaru Impreza WRC #33 Rally Acropolis 2009 (J-Collection)
2. Audi Quattro #2 Rally Sweden 1981 Mikkola / Hertz (Altaya)
3. Lancia Fulvia 1.6 HF Coupe 1972 Morocco Rallye Lampinen (IXO)
4. Subaru Impreza WRX 22B WRC Rally Portugal 98 Colin McRae (Trofeu)
5. Ford Escort RS Mk2 Rally Acropolis Greece 1980 Ari Vatanen (Trofeu)
6. Ford Focus RS WRC #4 New Zealand Rally 2003 (IXO)
7. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX F. Nutahara 2006 Rally Japan (IXO)
8. Ford Sierra Cosworth RAC Rally 1989 - C McRae (Trofeu)
9. Peugeot 206 WRC Panizzi Sanremo Rally 1999 (Vitesse)
10. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. VI 1999 Rallye Monte Carlo (IXO)

Ha! Well, the 1/43s are significantly cheaper to collect than 1/18s, in fact some of my 1/18s cost more than all 10 of those rally cars combined. The Porsche collection was getting too expensive so that really is the end of that.

Yeah, I know. I tried it before, and while it was successful for the first time, it failed with my second Ixo model car. The screw was so tight, the flat-head screwdriver kept slipping away. I feared the screw would got stripped, so I had to give in and buy a whole new screwdriver set.
