I'm looking for 2 Autoart models in Toronto, Porsche 924 & 944. Do you guys know what a sane price for them would be?

I know ebay has crazy prices.

I don't know how safe it is to order from a site like that but thanks for the link. I have found one for 150 CAD.

It sucks how they're still going through with that IG 1/43.

Finally found wheels for the Shelby Cobra and a replacement set for the Huracan. Now comes the real fun part of perfectly assembling the hub on the center axes of these things.

Photographing model cars to look like 1:1 cars to me is the pinnacle of the hobby. There's this Facebook group Art of Model Car and Toy Photography you might find inspiring.

I recently picked up this AUTOart Porsche 944 Turbo for a very reasonable BIN price of $75. It arrived with no box but very well packaged. The seller said that it was in flawless condition displayed in a case for years but when I received it I could see that it definitely in need some light detailing.

The seller listed it $200 with free shipping. So it is 160 after the 20% discount from eBay.

The model itself is a limited edition from Spark. I guess it's not all that popular after all, so I basically paid half (or even less)of what the original price was.

Although that happened, that didn't stop me from shopping. Almost gave money to nicecardiecast (I'm still hesitant as Google says their safe is not secure; probably because still "http") for the CSM Lancer Evo X.

But then I was smart to check eBay. Costs less AND I can apply the discount. Money gained from selling the 964 can go into this, which I plan to mod!

I don't believe the diecast cancer is as big of an issue as some folk make it out to be on Kyosho. I have nearly 20 and non have it, with some being quite old (NA2 NSX and Supra TT). Now, I have had paint issues, but usually minor. Only my R32 (fancier release) needs a bit of polishing on the hood. Speaking of Kyoshos...

Both my Lancia Delta and Group A R32 GT-R suffer from the old sticky wheel paint that was a problem with Kyosho models some 10-15 years ago. But then again, I've had those for 15 years. UT models of the same vintage had the same problem.

Keep looking on that site. I did see another 944 in black.

Just make sure you pay with Paypal for I cannot verify if the stock numbers on that site are accurate. It was sold out on YomaModelCar at $110 and I know they update their site regularly.

This photo was taken from China if that stumps that statement. Anyway, my fingers are crossed they either cancel the 1/18 which ultimately cancels the uncancelable amiami preorders, or they are delayed for 2 months to fix this poop up.


Edit: Huh. Otto says we'll give you a plain body E30 M3 Rally Car, so you can do your own livery on it.
