You can see straight through the engines and each individual fanblade. It's a whole new level of detail for a 1:400 scale model.
That's right! I also have this one:PokePlane!!! omg its amazing man!!
Absolutely love that 406. Beautiful. Some of my models. I started collecting pre-Covid, on eBay, antique shops, and car boot sales.
I wouldn't buy any 1:43 unless they were less than £10, and same with 1:24/18 they had to be around £10ish or less. I have stopped collecting now as prices are stupid, it's no longer fun to shop around online
I collect primarily 1:43 Race cars (Touring, Rally, Endurance)
But treated myself to some OttoMobile 1:18 models recently. Got the Laguna, 406, Meg R26 and Octavia VRS.

Had to have it! Even if it costs a bomb shipping from France to UK nowadays. Gotta stop myself going crazy on Ottomobile siteAbsolutely love that 406. Beautiful.
I've noticed that the cheapest price for an Otto model is when they are brand new. There was a '98 Laguna BTCC that I was watching on ebay but it got too expensive for me. There is a 405 Supertouring that I would really like but again, the price is way too high. The prices for models has gotten silly now. Which is a shame.Had to have it! Holy cow. This is incredible. How many Porsche GT3's do you have though 😄

Definitely need a photo of each of your cabinets to admire them all
I have an Ixo 991 RSR and it is pretty decent, though is sealed like most other modern race cars. Don't pay too much for one though, as I got my RSR for around $50-ish from Germany lol.How good or bad are IXO models? I may have just impulsively bought a cheap 1:18 Pfaff 911GT3R made by them and I have no clue how they are quality wise.
1/43 is way easier to get cars in than 1/24. Most cars are produced in 1/64, 1/43 and 1/18. 1/24, 1/12, etc. are more niche and limited in variety. $75 can get get you a high priced 1/64 Hot Wheel, a mid range 1/43 or a cheap 1/18.So noob questions here, hoping to get some guidance as I'm looking into starting a collection of model cars. Preferably would like keep things under $75 per cars. Is that budget good enough for 1/24 scales? How far can I get with that scale model? by that I mean are there a lot of options in that range? Or should I look into the 1/43s instead?
