I'm coming boys. I'll accept you, black ice

Edit: Internet has just gone from the ps3 yet again. Tuzmyfuz and knight judged each other and I think gave each other 16 and 17 respectively. I'm going to need someone to take over judging for the foreseeable future future as I can no longer do it. it took about 15 minutes for us all to get in the right room and my router signed me out ofPSN twice, forcing me to restart the PS3. By the time I got there they had already ran :( so if some people would be able to judge for me please PM

Ok, sorry for the wrong score in the post ^^^^ up there. I was kicked from the room just when I got back from sorting some stuff out for school. I'll add the scores to the result post just before the GMT 8am qualifier

Thx Chris, no problem

ALL PEOPLE WHO ARE YET TO QUALIFY PLEASE TAKE NOTE!
My ps3 internet has completely given up on me. As such I will not be online for the forseeable future, and I won't be able to be there for judging. This means that if I can't find a judge for the 8am qualifier, people yet to qualify will need to judge each other... However I will not take scores of X judging Y and Y judging X with no one else there as this could lead to cheating. I would like two peoples opinnions on each run. It doesn't matter if they aren't regular judges, the rough guidelines
are set out below
Spin out= instant rerun. 2 reruns per person, if a player spins 4 times they will get a score of 1 (for showing up;))
Speed= judge this out of 5
Angle=judge this out of 5
Apex clipping %= there are 7 corners on the layout. Each is worth a point.
Wow factor= did the driver hold a seemingly impossible drift? Did they link "that" section? Did they pull off a 360 entry? 1 point each

Each drifters best run is counted, finishing the lap is optional.
Drifters are allowed a maximum of ten minutes practice and two minutes of tire warm up (must be done on the starting straight)
Runs are done In race with everyone off the track apart from the qualifier.
Any random who shows up in room will be asked their GT Planet name.
If they are interested in the tournament, tell them to sign up to GTP and post here.
If they dont respond or are nit interested in the tournament they will be quickly kicked.
If lag occurs all but people yet to be judged and room host are eligible for kicking

Sorry to juDges & people who have already ran their runs. This was the system I have used and is what I suggest other judges use. I know many may be annoyed that if they knew about it they would have tried a 360 (reverse) entry for example, but I'm sorry to say too bad. I know judges may be annoyed that I failed to tell them this but I was planning to moderate everyone and i dodnt want judges having to rethink their style while watching a run.

Sorry once more everyone. Good luck with the qualifying, I am deeply sorry as I should have laid out the criteria earlier. Sorry once more.

Most have, however PAL and NTSC format's save the replays differently. Thus my pal copy can not read a NTSC replay. Unfortunately I do not have both and there will be the occasional run that is only viewed by NTSC owners. I am focusing my spare time (usually spent on GT5 drifting and judging) on sorting out these Internet issues so may miss out on viewing the replay of the odd run. I thank dearly all who followed the original guidelines and everyone who has sent me replays, but the fact is I might not get around to watchin them all. Thus I decided to implement that ^^^ system

LOL a bit late posting the rules now dont you think?
Plus im not sure why you are giving people a rerun for spinning.

I've only done that twice. Yes I do think it's a bit late, but I didn't think it wiuld be necessary for competitors to judge each other. These aren't rules but guidelines for inexperienced judges

to me the hole way the room was run when i was getting judged was just way to laggy. i have my ideas of how to make this work better and would stop drop ins from just saying year ill enter. sure i did just drop in but i had read about this in one of the other GTplanet threads. anyway i might be up for the job of judging. i would just host the room differently, instead of a public room. id have it as a personal lounge and all the entrants from the thread can add me as a friends and book a time slot for when they would be able to do there run where i would be on and ready to judge them. keeps lag down to a minimum and also stops drop ins from stuffing up the runs.
this way u can have 2 judges in the room and the entrant and thats it. no one else untill its there time.
needs a lil more setting up but would be more efficient and would take up less time as well.

im not insulting you but when i was watching you do your runs you kept the rpm's very low.

If you watch most runs when online pretty much every users car is low revving.. its just how it runs online.. when you are drifting with someone or watchign 90% of the time you will hear low rev notes

Too late for those rules ...specially that i was given only 5 minutes to practice and could've really used the 2 minutes for warming up the tyres ... if i dont qualify i will ask for a new runs ...

Missed out on the ability to qualify and today I have an event to run so sorry guys would have love to have a chance to show my stuff but I guess next time! Good luck to all...

i did a 360 on my 2nd run (score 18). I had a good first run so i was just kinda messing around on the 2nd. If you guys dont like that, take the first run or make me do another, whatever its cool. First run was 17

it was a rather ugly 360 to be honest and if i was judging me i wouldve actually removed points lol.

that is just rediculous ^^
Hayden man, adjust those rules and remove the 360 thing ... if u want me to be totaly honest i say remove the 2 minutes for warming up too...
