I dont like the sound of people judging each other like that. They could all get together and give higher score than what they are worth.

I have a room open now but will close it in 1 hour as ill be having dinner. I might reopen it in 2 hours, but only for about 2 hours.
 
im happy to open up a room for a few hrs to help out. i am also happy to donate some prizes. ive got an endless supply of chrome paint, got a carbon X1 and a redbull, a Ferrari 330 P4 and a heap of other cars that i can dupe for prizes.
 
Just a small suggestion :) maybe lock in the first 32 applicants in and close it off for others? It seems with this drastic number of contenders the more difficult this process is. The bracket would be fair/unbiased as it's first come first serve but until a system is solidified, to help make things a bit easier on all the judges and contenders, a cap on applicants for next round might help.

We were told that they were closed before. Holding trails in private room's just rids the problem all together. Also who the .... in the right mind would judge completely based off of a chase car picture( monstar- 1 ) from what i am told he is guilty of this.

Yes i do. I do it that way so i can see EXACTLY whats happening and then i re watch the replay.
The way i see it i get the best view all round.

Any other brain busters mate?

Actually yea i agree. It would be alot easier following them than watching the replay as there are blind spots in the replay that cant be seen unless on the ground.
 
Yea, monstar does judge like this. However seeing as he does re watch the replay it isn't really an issue

No offence kaizar but I am the one who set up the rules. While it could be made to fit speed, angle as 5 apexes worth a point each and link worth 3, TBH it's still a bit crooked. I have begun rejudging replays, and the scores will be promptly updated

Sorry if i offended you, my English is not so good.

Speed shouldn't act as a big part in the scoring system, if 20 is total, 2 for speed is more than enough.

There are 2 different "Speed" in drifting, the entry speed and the speed while drifting. The speed while drifting shouldn't effect the score because everyone are suppose to focus on lines and angle during solo run, and the amount of speed u can carry through the drift really depends on the car, for example, 80's Supra vs Viper, huge difference.

Entry speed is normally count as a extra point, because its all just about making the drift more spectacular, and it works well if there are clipping point on the outside line. But since we don't use outside line as clipping point so the effect of entry speed should be minimal.

Well, i think we must make a rule to force everyone to start at the same place, or else this will be impossible to judge.
 
Guys. I've had a great run, least as good as Sai his... It's utter b/s that, because of the **** up of a Judge, i have to redo my run, as some people tried to suggest.

Edit: Redid my qualifying run now with Monstar-1 as Judge, he did save a replay. He gave me a 19 as well.

(Hayden, if you still have a problem with anything, ill do a Qualifying run in front of every judge available okay? :D)

Speed drifting is a formula drift crappy judging category not a proper D1 category although in D1 it is VERY VERY small consideration to overall
 
Yes i watched GONALS do her run. It was a very good run. I told her that i know she has had a run with the other judge so that i wasnt going to guarantee her, her score would count. But after watching her i believe that the score of 19 from the last judge is very accurate.

This was not a re run at all. Just a run to see if she was good for a 19. I think sai will have a major challenger

Whoo, whoo, whoo hold on a minute. I had no problem with your original run at all , i don't believe i ever said that i did. I remember typing somewhere that i will (and i am in the process of doing so now) rejudge each replay i can get access to. I then said that i would inform people who needed to re-run by PM. Props on another great run, but it may have been premature

While were talking like this i have a question. As basically all the decisions i have made so far have cued major uproar (all with fair cause i'll admit) i have decided i better asked your opinions before i set up the bracket. I was considering a bracket that had a set out like this...

Notice how high qualifiers play low qualifiers. Also notice that qualifiers 1 & 2 wont met until the grand final.. Opinions please

I have judged a few more so ill PM you them scores now.
 
It sounds like a good idea but the problem is that so many of us are on higher scores with other people like me. I got a 17 with the old system and there's 3 other people who also got 17 so what happens there?
 
Great move Hayden... it would suck to qualify with a 19, and get kicked out of the comp, by Sai in the first round xD

(I thought the bracket plan came from Monstar, but only now i realised it was Hayden's

I have found all your scores to be dead on. Apart from the ones where people span/crashed. I put them as an automatic zero, as per peoples request

Current average qualifying score=17.5
Current average non qualified=7.4
Current average score=9.5
Current minimum required to qualify= 14
Current sets of data on this page=7
Current score in yr 11 maths=E/E... lol :)

Don't feel too bad, beast. It happens to the best of us. (including me;)) I'm just happy to see the average score has feel to where it should be (in the middle) This is always a good sign that there is a wide range of skill levels competing and the judging is fair. I have officially ran out of runs to re judge :(.. When i get TT's runs (not poking mate, just stating) i'll be back on the job :)

Edit: 9.22pm currently at a mates house and might have time to judge a couple runs. However, i'm only here for a couple hours and will be going home to no PSN. Luckily me and my mates all share each other accounts so we can get each others downloads free of charge and that they all enjoy the juice and I don't drink, leaving me alone with a ps3 with my account and a bit of free time. Also lucky that tomorrow is a pupil free day @ school. I have made a bIt of room in the friend list so add me and I might be able to judge you prior to going home.

Edit: 10.23pm decided to head home early. Sorry guys but I hate being around drunk people :(

by the looks of all that maths, E must be the highest grade on that side of the pond :)
