On re-watching all of the replays i have, I have decided that unfortunately FRAG-ME-CG's run isn't quiet up to the standard of the others. I have therefore knocked it down to a 15. This means that the bracket is filled.
(Please note), i unfortunately didn't have access to fpcmarcus's run. His, theoretically could be worse then FRAG's. I did however moderate xUXIOUSx and his judging standard's are equal to mine.

Feel free to dispute me and demand all =16th placers rerun. However, this is the best decision possible on the information i have access to without doing reruns. Until further notice, the bracket is as follows...

...Or fpcmarcus & FRAG can run the opening battle of the tournament with SAi waiting in the wings for the winner.... Just a thought...

you specified 'Style' as one of the judging points. Doest his mean e-brake usage and rev-limiter hitting will be watched? Im struggling with a certain weight shift, but i could just shift down and let it snap at the rev-limiter to reach the goal, but then again...i personally see that as a fail way of doing it.

Yes, style is a judging point. E brake & rev limiter usage are the main parts of drifting style IMO. The best runs are done with as little of both as possible

Not nessarily.
It depends entirely on the track. On Indy, the hardest (and best looking) thing to do is long fast wand entries to the first corner. After that corner, agreed, no hand-brake is better, but using the rev limiter is never considered bad, we praise rev limiter use on corner exits (assuming the car doesn't have the power to shift up) as it shows use of full throttle, which in turn shows full commitment.

P.S. Wand = handbrake in UK drift lingo LOL e.g. 'pull the wand'

My style is quite regularly bouncing off the rev limiter and using h/brake as for alot of other people!

style is more judged on how you keep the car in the sideways motion and how you approoach and enter the corner!

Yea, i was reffering to 1st/2nd gear car killing. Nothing pains my ears when i judge as much as the continuous reeeeeee of a first gear slide.

when are the battles starting. Listen, if its this weekend, i dont think i can do it. im going to be very busy. i might be able to take 10 minutes of time to do it but there cant be any disorganized effing around and wasting time.

Unfortunately, due to sorting out the equal 16th dilema, i didn't have time to give people enough notice on the times of their battles. 👎 So they will have to be postponed until next weekend. (unless you and your opponent are ready to go this weekend)

Am I the only one who thinks this sounds dirty, lol, :embarrassed:

Okay, it all worked out great then. I got three midterms this coming week, and four lab reports due. So this weekend was/is rather busy. Hit me up on psn when you get back. Looking forward to some nice, fun tandem :)

Hey is the tourney gonna run tire wear? I dont really mind too much either way, im just wondering. But the cars do feel different; with tire wear turned on, EVEN with unworn tires, it still doesnt feel the same as when wear is turned off. Thats why, prior to the update, i never drifted offline, because the tunes didnt translate well to online, so i did all my car setup on the online with tire wear on.

Good question, iSlide. I'm not sure as of yet...

Times of battles will be uploaded later on today. As usual, it is taking a lot of time and face palming at my own stupidity, but i think their all about fair.

Not to be forceful, but can we get up a list of times? I'm going to be very busy on the weekend due to assignments and other tasks.

hows your duct-taped-together GT5 disc holding out? im tellin ya man, the store will give u a new 1

LOL It worked for a bit, but then stopped. So my mom bought me a new one, since the guy didn't let me trade :( I'm ready to go! BRING IT! haha

yeah thats silly. I woulda asked to see the manager, and if he didnt give me a disc, id ask to see his higher-up. eff that, discs arent supposed to break and you obviously got a defected one.

sooo whats the deal with this? you said youd have the times up by last sat, and then by mon. its been almost a week and still no times up

Question : By Next year , will this tournament end or it will take longer than that ??? :D

yeah really, we coulda done this whole thing in one weekend, or two. you could be running 2 or 4 of these a month. Friday qual. Saturday round 1 and round 2, Sunday round 3 and round 4. Kinda like a golf tournament.

and if u had something to do on one of those days you could just hit the next weekends one.
