A few more I picked up today...

A821D471-21FF-4EAC-8536-327CC910E747.jpg

Czarface - First Weapon Drawn

It's a comic book and vinyl combo. Truly epic.

A84C5741-CFBD-4C44-905B-3C517EE55C6C.jpg

Jaco Pastorius - Truth, Liberty & Soul

A lovely boxset and to make it even better it's pressed by RTI. The records are heavy well pressed beasts.

Keep forgetting about this thread when I make purchase.
Anyway not often I buy an album on a whim but heard a song off this on the radio and thought I'd take a chance.

Just listened to it once and seems alright and will listen again once I get the new amp set up properly.

The average price on these four was about $12 brand new, and I think that's a hell of a deal.

I also picked up a few other rap albums cause I've started to get really in to it recently. Trying to find the good stuff.

@ildd Madvillainy is a cracker.

A few pics I didn't get to share yet.

These are the colour variants of the Pye Corner Audio 45's which came from Mondo.

This is Rough Trades new compilation series. It's limited Green 3LP with CDs and 7". It's a real beauty.

Edit:

Record overload...

Explosions in the Sky & David Wingo

Some nice chilled post rock.

Bola - D.E.G

If you like Aphex Twin and other IDM outfits then you'll like this.

A fun track released for RSD '17. I picked up this for the fiancée.

This record is the reason I took the trip to town. Colin Stetson is a truly talented individual. For those not in the know, he is a saxophone player who has mastered cyclic breathing. Check him out on YouTube.

And last but not least is this mint copy of Frédéric Chopin on Deutshe Grammophon. Best of all it was free.

Edit :

My copy of Electronic Sound Magazine arrived with the 7" which has tracks from Orbital and Der Plan

Well it's that time again. More new records.

IMG_8149.JPG

First is the LP above. Polypores - Timeholes 2. I fantastic raw synth album. No fancy effects just honest synthesiser sounds. Limited to 100 copies worldwide and mine is number 30.

AA59731A-829B-449D-A1CE-3EE514B54803.jpg

The other record is an EP of remixes. Nice IDM sounds. Picked up off Discogs for £8 inc delivery and it was still sealed. Bargain.

Edit

More records added. My local contacted me to let me know some I've been waiting on had arrived.

Being a huge Pye Corner Audio fan, getting these two was a must. If you're liking the recent resurge of techno/IDM/darkwave then you'll love these.

The recent 3LP pressing of one of the best lefield albums. Perfect.

I already have her very famous self titled album. So seeing this OG pressing in very good condition was a must at £8.

The fiancée picked up a few bits today. One for me was this Vincent Gallo single/EP. Not a fan of the music contained but it wasn't expensive and it goes in to the Warp Records collection. Only about another billion releases to go.

The other is a record she really wanted. It's a nice early copy too is NM condition for the record.

And because there isn't a cassette thread she picked this up.

Couple from today.

20170629_173432.jpg

Apologies for the low light crappy pic.
Stereophonics on the right, don't mind this album and already had it electronically.

While browsing the store the album on the left Feist-Pleasure was playing in the background. After Mrs Shaun inquired about what was playing and a chat with the store owner we also picked it up.
Actually quite like it.

Edit: Just now dropped the needle on Stereophonics and immediately heard a different sounding Superman to what I'm used to. :D

First time owning 3 versions of the same record. Picked up the 10" version of Pye Corner Audio's "The Spiral"

7079BCF2-7766-4F9B-B14B-9AD3FB01C397.jpg

Seen with its two 7" siblings.

Another two dropped in. Fantastic 3 tracks from three different artists. Pye Corner Audio, Not Waiving & Silent Servant. The black variant is one of 400 worldwide and the yellow variant one of 200.

Some more for the Clint Mansell / Invada / Lakeshore Records collection.

I'm trying something new. I'm using an Instagram link. It saves GTP bandwidth.

A few more for the ever expanding collection.

And this next one has to be the most expensive record I've ever bought (until my Alien boxset ships). Tipping the £100 mark after import tax and shipping.

Out of interest do you know where it's at mate, the collection number wise?
And if so a break down of sorts as in albums, singles, box sets etc.

Must be getting pretty impressive now 👍

I don't have exact figures anymore. At one point I was keeping close tabs on things. However it's got a little large now for exacts.

My Discogs app shows this in terms of value.
IMG_8476.JPG

This includes my whole collection with CD/DVD-A/BD-A/Records

I do have a recent Discogs .CSV file if it's any interest. It has the whole collection in order.

@Sprite

Excellent stuff mate I'll have a closer look through the drive file when I'm on my PC and not the phone.

Good to have a hobby/passion. 👍

@Shaun sometimes it feels more like an addiction / illness.

I don't drink (much), smoke or do other things. So a record here and there doesn't hurt. I really need to slow down though as I'm just about to buy a house so my money will be a lot tighter soon.

As a home owner, well buyer but we own a hell of alot more of it than the bank does I can understand what you are saying.

However I also live by the motto of it's pointless being the richest man in the graveyard. Enjoy life while you can a record here or there won't do any harm as long as other priorities are met. 👍

@Parker looks great. I saw a copy for sale at Crash Records in Leeds last week and I was tempted to pick it up.

New record brush to replace a very worn out 20 year old (yikes) Goldring/Hunt/Audioquest one.

I'm (wait for it) ecstatic about it.

IMG_3914.JPG

I started to open it then was like, oh, the word ecstatic might be kind of funny. I should take a picture and show it off with my stupid humor.

Another cheap SH record in really good condition. The sleeve has a few signs of age but wax is spot on.
