Fools. As if that's the real threat to people's music stations nowadays..
Baby steps. Besides, the evil Queen of Christmas has a white knuckled grip on the rights to her musical cash cow and would never let them slip from her cold, dead hands. I heard Carey employs whole teams of lawyers to phone anyone who tries to purchase them and blast it in their ears 24 hours a day, chillingly interspersed with recordings of her mocking laughter.

After being promptly reminded of this by a car passing by in the Tesco car park blaring out a passing whiff of Wham - I (and my girlfriend) are in, with fierce competition against eachother.

I have spent an inordinate amount of time this year thinking I have been Whammed when I just catch a certain part of a pop song while not being aware of the song being on.

That song is Good Luck, Babe! by Chappell Roan. Towards the end it starts to slow down and if you're not listening to the rest of the song and just turn the radio on to thr last few bars, it sounds extremely similar to the opening few notes of Last Christmas.

3:18 through this. If you yune your brain out and listen to that bit, assuming you've just turned the radio on to that bit, it sounds very similar to the first few notes of Last Christmas. Or at least that's where my brain has been for the last few months this song has been on the radio.

I have not heard M.C.'s Christmas song yet anywhere, so I'm still in and alive. I just need to be strong and not play it. I can listen to lots of other song artists.

As someone who's also still playing Whamageddon, I'll need to be extra careful then. :D

Randomly Carey'd this 12-11-2024 before noon by watching a random Facebook video while taking a 💩... And I was rickrolled yesterday so that should have been an omen...
