That's not one of my escape routines, but effective...

When some radio decides to play, MAKE THEM PAY!!!!

We need GTP vs Wham catchphrases like above!

Would have been too late by then. Turning of the radio would have involved pushing the missus out of the way and closing the tab she had the radio open on. Running away was just easier and quicker.

Lol, I don't think she would have been none too happy eh?

Count me in... It really is only a matter of time though; I know that stupid, slow and ridiculously catchy tune word for word fro my 18 festive seasons on this crazy little planet.

Let the paranoia begin :nervous:

Updated the Whammed User Log 👍. Has anyone else been playing RouWa's version (i.e. the hardcore, real version)? I still haven't heard the song since last year :D

We have two cars. The car the other half uses, has had the brake warning light come on a couple of times, so I told her to use mine so I could have a look. That was yesterday. I sorted her car out, just needed a bit of Dot 4.
Anyway, I set off to work today, I normally leave the stereo fascia fitted. On starting the car, no music, so I reached for the panel, fitted it, and I was greated with 'Last Christmas' at near full volume, with the radio station not being my preferred station. So people, I didn't even make it to December.

Motto of the story. Tell your wife to fix her own car.

Too bad my friend! I bet you got the scare of your life! :D
The list of casualties is increasing....

I'm out, happened at around 11:30 in Music class. Seems we're performing it for the Christmas concert. I tried to avoid it, but unfortunately the teacher did not excuse me from class.

NB: The time I'll be using is NZT (GMT+12) for those who don't know

Whammed User Log...
21/11/12 - dhandeh - Driving the missus' car, turned on radio and was attacked by said radio with George Michael's voice.

It was my car. That makes it even worse.

There's not many men can say they've been caught unawares in their own car by George Michael.

Oh... wait!

And it's not even December! :indiff:

I don't know if I was supposed to formally join in to this thing or not, but just popping in to say I had a very near miss. . . some whispy-voiced acoustic version was played at work today. Not sure if I'd prefer to be faux-Whammed or the real thing.

Still haven't heard a Christmas song this year at all. :D

A shame about everyone that lost already. :(

Had a close call at a gas station yesterday, they had the loud radios playing, and there was a Christmas Compilation ad playing... Luckily the song didn't play from what I heard, so I'm alright... For now.

Went to the mall after returning my books from school. Didn't hear any Christmas songs, actually.

Just so I'm clear, you guys aren't jumping through windows if the song plays while you're on the job, right?

No, you have to physically hear it being played. Tbh, I haven't heard one Christmas song yet even though the shops are all kitted out.

The thought has crossed my mind...
Luckily, the stereo is in the storage room. So, when ever I need to pick up some supplies, I makes sure no Christmas songs plays! :mischievous:

I lost. hlkglyuftyfktdfurtsrtdjr!!!!!!!!! wednesday I was at the store. i didnt want to go but the wife asked nicely (more like, you have to go.) now had she NOT come with me, its headphones and quick shopping. that = no chance to hear that song. but there i was. in Meijer, isle 6, baking needs and spices. "...I gave you my heart..." "Mother @#$%^*!!"

THEN yesterday at my family dinner... My cousin had on an xmas station..... I heard the music.... then I heard last christmas.... no lalalalalalalalalalalalala in that situation. I lost... twice. I will however keep track of my losses. I wanna see how many times I get wham rolled

I'm back in the states this year, and I'm feeling hopeful. I tend to shy away from shopping anyway, and if I'm lucky, I'll make it through this holiday season this time.
