Since you didn't follow the instructions to make sure it was or was not Wham, you have to assume that it was.

It's about 6:30 and I'm entering a Macy's talking with my parents and then they go over to look at something that was on sale because of Black Friday. There is Christmas music playing, but its more like Jingle Bells, various carols, etc. I don't think they are going to play it but then out of nowhere, BAM! right in my ears I hear the dreadful song. I realize I have been Whammed. I am warning everyone that goes to Macy's to wear earplugs, put on some headphones, or just avoid the store until Christmas is over. I hope I have better luck next year.

Same place I got Whammed last year. Macy's is not safe.

That is the reason we went there for Black Friday. Screw Macy's, and sorta screw Black Friday.

I'm no longer adding people to the OP list, just to to emphasise that anyone on the list is in it for the long haul.

There's a chance that I'll get Whammed on Friday. I'm hanging out with a couple of friends for drinks and one of them knows about the competition from a few years ago.
 
I should be semi safe for a couple weeks since I'm back at college. However, I'm not sure how safe I'll be since nowhere is truly safe.
 
Well tomorrow is the actual start of December, I'd be more concerned, but the only Christmas songs I've heard are all the older ones, like from back when they originally made the Rudolph stop-motion movie :lol:

And Swift's cover of Last Christmas. But that last one is more "meh..." than anything for this challenge :p
 
My biggest worry of being whammed is tomorrow. Party in my friend's house! He likes cheesy Christmas music.

Shocking. In 9 hour's time. The Last Christmas only played once at work.

This week's wham count: 2.

The month of December is going to be brutal. A dollar store extending its opening hours to compete with a nearby Walmart Supercentre. I don't know why you'd want to stay open until 10pm on Sundays. A dumb idea if you ask me.
 
The difficulty curve is gonna get a whole lot steeper from here on in for us folks.

Welp, I just Whammed! myself...

Turned on my bedroom radio to set my alarm for tomorrow, and I've had it set to a local Christmas music station (105.7 West MI) just to push my luck, and caught it mid-chorus.

I literally froze in-place, then freaked out, then raged and finally accepted it. :lol:

@Daniel, I'm out. Of all the people to try, I least expected myself.
