After the grueling test of Suzuka, drivers of the GTPLMS series take a relative breather at Fuji. Driving the '90s version of this track will have drivers diving into turn 1 at the maximum speed their cars can go. This race will be fast and the action will be furious.

Rules and Regulations​

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by GTPLMS sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ICallShotgun) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

Penalties for Late Time Submission will be as such.
If the driver submits times Private Messaged through GTP to ICallShotgun before the deadline as time-stamped by GTP, no penaly will be given. A driver has up to 3 hours after deadline to send in their time, but a penalty will be enforced equal to the lateness of the submission, 1 second for every minute after deadline up to 3hr past deadline. Anything after 3hr will not be accepted and will post a DNS/DNQ.

All Other Standard Online Racing Rules apply.

• No Cheating, Hybrids, or any crap like that. Run the car I set up for you please.
• Try and keep two wheels on the road at all times. No shortcuts.
• No wall-riding. It slows you down.

Qualifying (4-Lap Sprint Race)

• Arcade Mode>>>Time Trials>>>World Circuits>>>Fuji 90's>>>Select Car
• AI setting 8-10
• AI tires must be RS
• Tires restricted to RM/RM ONLY.
• Tire Wear set to NONE
• Penalty set to FORCED PIT ENTRY
• TCS is allowed IF DESIRED, but NOT mandatory. ACS is PROHIBITED.
• Gearing is free.

Qualifying Results

Results are below and there are some encouraging results. It looks like the Help-Handicap system is doing what I'd hoped, and the competition in all classes is coming together very nicely. Delfino has not responded to a questioning of his times, and therefore will have them scratched until he can be reached. An excellant showing by both ICallShotgun and SammiTougeGirl in taking 2 classes each.

@ GTXDriver All GT3 competitors need to run at the given specs above. the specs for GT3 were ALL out of whack and had to be re-set. the settings above reflect the finishing positions of R1 race ONLY. This will not happen again I hope, but it's a new system I'm trying, so bear with me please.

@azevedojose That's because I had you going to Time Trials, and you were supposed to go to Single Race. 1st post has been fixed. Yes, it is a 4 lap sprint in Single Race mode. Sorry for the confusion.

The Toyota GT Ones will be tough here. The most HP, the best brakes, and the best areo package.

But I am confident because I won here last season in the C60 and the Audis are finally being restricted.

I'll run this round with both PRO and GT3 cars. It's a fast track, so should expect a pleasant drive with the GT-One.

EDIT: indeed it was a pleasant drive with both cars. Even with AI set to 10, the GT-1 is really fast.

Unfortunately, my knee's are playing up really bad this week and so I'll have to admit defeat and give them a little rest before the race.
So, no more playing round what is one of my favourite tracks till the race comes round.

alright, since it's been kinda quiet around here, no one wanting to talk about times and all, i figure I'll give you something to shoot for.

GT3 the S2000 looks mighty good, with a good launch outta the "slow" corners here at Fuji. blasting into First, you can brake WAY latter than some of my competitors and still make the corner. Fast lap was roughly 1:31.xxx, and that's with NO drafting help, which could seriously hurt Team ICS in this race.

GT2 and the M3 aren't looking for much here. Too few corners and way too much straightline means the Flying Brick isn't going to do much here. I will say that in the twisty part after 200R (aka Turn 5), the M feels great, but again, just can't push through air at all. Fast lap of a 1:23.xxx isn't going to break any records.

GT1 and the Team ICS Viper are on fire. 2nd time out, and there wasn't anything else left in the car, there's no way I could better it. Super-fast, great late-braking into First, and just a light throttle feather around turn 3 (no easy task with a DS2), and Team ICS will be a force at Fuji. Fast lap was 1:19.xxx, and it was exciting to watch too.

PRONow, if someone can't beat me in Prototype for the pole, i'm claiming the championship now. I'm down at least 50hp from the rest of the field (excluding RACECAR), at a track that just begs for horsepower, someone's GOT to beat me. Please! I'm on my knees here. But, the R8 is on rails here. with a great launch out of Dunlop onto the front straight, she can easily keep up with those pesky Pescarolo's and those darn GT-Ones, even down hp. Fast lap here was a 1:11.xxx, and i lost the field just before T1.

I have spent alot of time testing and driving the Pescarolo and R8. In simulation mode as well as Arcade mode the R8 is down by default around 25 HP to the Pescarolo and yet it is still 1-2 seconds a lap faster then the Pescarolo even at Le Mans.

So 50 less HP then the Pescarolo and GT-Ones is not that big of a difference. If anything it is an advantage to the R8 in terms of tire wear. I think you should look into using weight as an equalizer combined with HP.

After restarting a few times I was able to clear the AI cleanly in both Prototype and GT1. I then ran the 4 laps and kept my time so don't expect my qualifying time to be my race pace. But I do think the BMW McLaren F1 GTR is still off the pace by about a second.

Yeah, i missed them somehow. they're up now.

@Earth The times were RIDICULOUSLY close, top 5 within 0.5s of each other for best lap. This was consistent through the classes.
