Hei
HE messaged me, he said he'd get his results in Friday. I don't mind 4 judges lol.

Awesome. 👍

Well, so far, RJ is leading FWD class, Hei is leading RWD class, krenkme, the only AWD entrant , obviously leads that class, and I'm leading the Mid-Engine class.

Basically, I'm planning a layout like this:

1st set: FWD vs RWD
2nd set: MR vs AWD
3rd set: 1st set winner vs 2nd set winner
4th set: Overall winner vs Slender's MR-S

Nice review Hei, thanks. I must agree that it is pretty slow.

Are we going to do that EG6 vs. EG6 battle thing?

Is it me, or do I feel very thinly-veiled hostility from Hei's review of the "Swift"? Review may be feedback so being critical is not wrong, but, for the sake of asking, we're not using this as a chance to run off ranting and being deliberately negative, are we?

Kind of obvious when it's staring you right in the face. Best to leave the arguing to those two as long as it's not publicly on here.

Is the fact that it doesn't fit the criteria not enough too justify bad feedback?

It's a car that was entered without even trying to compete. The feedback I gave was honest. If Tak takes it as a personal insult, so be it. I ranted on Rob's car too, and he's my friend. Look at the Cappuccino, even that tries to be as competitive as it can. I know for a fact that a Swift can achieve well over 200 hp. I find a car like that an insult to what we are trying to do, which is organize a competition to raise our tuning abilities in the Touge scene by competing against other tuners of high caliber.

Bad feedback does not justify being aggressive about it. Come on, Hei, "untrained eye", going a bit far for feedback, no? And although nothing's wrong with a list of issues, wouldn't it be better to offer some advice on what can be done to fix it? Something as simple as referring to the basics of FF tuning should be enough. i.e "Ignoring power issues, tune could be better with X/Y/Z"

Then I'd be tuning the car for the person :P

I know I am harsh, I think I was harsh to every car. It's just I know a Swift well, and the stock one handles better.

Advice is different from handing out a tune. Just suggestions for next steps should suffice, a full tune is way too much, even if we're all as generous as you. :P Hearing how a car drives is one thing to take from feedback, but it's what happens next that's important, and giving a hint as to what to do to it should be enough to help if the tune isn't good. :P After that, it's up to the tuner to listen and such though.

I'd say you were neutral for most and then just got bored or something by the time you got to the swift.

Faster too.

...And back to where we started.

Well to improve, he should take the shootout seriously. Release it with around 175-190 hp. Then Re-tune the suspension with a higher spring rate in the front. 10.0 for a start, then leave the rear as is. The dampers need a lot of work, but that's all feel work. Happy?

Then there's the LSD and gearbox to do...

I couldn't really detect the tuning faults of the Swift pointed out by Hei due to:

- Me not being an "experienced" tuner
- Car was too damn slow to notice

When are entry deadlines?

That depends on what class you'll be participating in.

As you may probably see right now, T200 is still ongoing. T300 class will be coming up next when T200 is over. For now, there is no solid schedule when things will happen. I'm getting really busy for school, and my free time is slowly diminishing.

I suggest you just wait for the thread title to be changed. I'll be changing the title whenever sign-ups are open.

Hmmm quite disappointed with the 80 (but I'll live), must be the driving style you had with the car or just the fact you're just hating me still. I don't know how Mat, Shadow & Rob (asked him) said it was good despite the power being low including their all DS3 users as this was tuned on a G27 (which wouldn't matter to some but just stating what the tune was tested with).

And actually, why should things be serious and not for fun or is it just you're being competitive too much? It was just my way of challenging myself, plus it was REPLICA Tune. It was also meant for course-scouting and tracing a good line for a course, sure it may not be competitive but you're just looking into the competitive side while some look into more of the genre where some can develop skill and not be a complete Powerhouse, rather be used for daily and everyday use.

@Tak- What relevance does a replica tune have in this comp. This is a competition of tuning skill not "who can find the best replica. Personally, if it IS a replica even if it were better than it has turned out to be it's not relevant as it's not YOUR tune. Now, I dont know you nor will I ever bear the pleasure of meeting you so please don't take it personally.

I can be honest, usually you can expect the judges to be a bit faster than you. if your slowest is faster than 3:10.XXX for T200 your good. and T300 should be about 15 sec. faster, T400 about 10 faster than T300.

I think that's a bit exaggerated. Frankly, not even all tuners are very fast. I know I'm not. Myself, on a T200 car, I lap Akina around 3:15. In a T300 car I go about 5-10 seconds faster. I haven't tried in a 400hp car yet, but I'll be honest and say I have trouble breaking 3 minutes in 500PP cars (which tend to fall between 300-400hp).

Do we actually need my results now that Hei has some feedback put down? I was planning on dropping everything and making sure to absolutely get them posted tomorrow, but I'm not sure it's necessary now. I've been battling school and state finals, technical difficulties, and the loss of motivation to do anything from depression. GT5 is just getting too old and stale for me to want to come back to.

Anyway, I'm kind of disappointed with the feedback from Hei. These settings were the most drivable for me, with the best cornering of all the settings I've tried. It had a lot less understeer than my first base tune, that's for sure.

What kind of lap times would be recommended for T200, 300 and 400?

T300 I'm lapping in at around the 3:00.xxx mark and T400 at around the 2:55.xxx mark (when I don't have oversteer to deal with  ).

I really tried on that car, and I guess you can blame my driving style. I just couldn't adapt to your car at all.

Yeah, it was a fair review and I'm satisfied, just also disappointed. Not every car will be good for everyone. 👍

Well, if you want to post 'em up, no problem. The more reviews, the better. 👍 Also, I'm on the same boat as you. I've been preparing for school, depression, medical recovery and such. GT5 just doesn't work for me anymore.

Good to finally hear from you.
