GTP's Hot Version Touge Showdown is now well under way with its 3rd season, with 6 volumes already released and the 10th in progress.
We first started running it on Eiger's Short Track for Season 1 and moved onto Mt. Akina for Seasons 2 and 3. Even though everyone's focus is on the two upcoming volumes and their cars, I want to take this time to introduce two new venues. Doing so in hopes that you, the touge and tuning community, fall in love with these new courses - Snake Way and Volcanic Complex - and maybe they become featured in future episodes of GTP Hot Version.
Volcanic Complex (currently on share):
A 5.10Mile long Toscana(Tarmac) course with a diverse series of sections and memorable uphill and downhill sections. The first sector is mostly twisties with a generous amount of low-speed corners and hairpins coupled with key switchbacks and sweepers. Sector 2 is mostly uphill, save for two of the last three corners, and is comprised of short straightaways connected via 90-degree turns of varying altitude changes. Sector 3 is the shortest and arguably most complex sector. 8 or 10 corners (depending how you count them) that require the utmost level of precision to dominate. Sector 4 is a few long, medium speed corners with a downhill S before the final straight.
Snake Way:
In my own opinion, this is the most fun and exciting Mt. Also touge I've created to date. 1.90 miles over 4 sectors. This tiny track has it all! Low speed corners, high speed section, dramatic (not ludicrous) elevation changes and, best of all, it can be just as fun, if not more, in reverse. Fast, fun and challenging.
I'll be sharing Volcanic Complex for the rest of this week and will share Snake Way the next week, alternating between the two in weeks ahead.
I hope you guys like the tracks!
Happy Driving and see you on the touge!!
