Oh, I see, thanks, I already tuning 2 cars now, AWD and FF from the same make, an FR already tuned since last season - all are cheap street cars. A MR waiting for decision, RUF 3400S would be okay ?

Ok, cool, I tuned another car yesterday, might use Ruf as backup car, I have 4 cars tuned, FF, FR, AWD and MR, just need to break them in :lol: 1200 kms :(
 
Patience grasshoppah! Just monitor the thread and the title will change when T400 is ready. 👍
 
Now I try to follow this thread as best I can, so maybe I missed this at some point, but:

Didn't sign up end for T400?
And aren't tuners only allowed to tune for one class?

I'm not trying to cause problems (I think you all know me by now:dopey: ), I was just a little confused reading the last couple of pages. :D

I'll be available this weekend. I was down in Atlanta last weekend and just got back to my beloved NYC yesterday afternoon.

I'll be able to record battles from an OTS (over the shoulder) perspective. Would be ideal for a live camera car. As well as recording replays with the available viewpoints.

@mat how do you feel about me editing and uploading the videos to a dedicated channel? With a presentation similar to the Hot Version DVD's.

@Rotary Junkie its ironic that I actually found your Toyota to not over steer as much as I'd like :lol:

My T400 car is still up for share, if anyone wants to give it a spin. It's not finished yet, but still very near.
 
The OP does not say anything about entry limitation - 1 tune per person ? Is the sign up for T400 still open ? If not, that's fine :) I am using my tunes for seasonal races anyway :D

I'm having a hard trouble understanding how my car is unresponsive on steering and brakes on your hand, when the other two judges says it's a responsive, oversteery car. Are you sure you tested the correct car?

I'll be more specific than in the review as to why your car felt to me as it did.

The front tires heat up too much too quickly. So when I try to go into a downhill corner with any amount of slip angle (ideally, 5-7 degrees will allow for most slip without sacrificing traction) steering and braking inputs don't translate to the road. If I even blip the throttle the car will push to the outside. Therefore, I can't power out of a corner as in accustomed to with MR vehicles. I handles better when driven a lightly but it wouldn't be near as fast. Those are faults that would show up in the heat of battle. Instances where you'd want to brake late, you would have to think twice before doing so because if the front tires are loaded a cinch too much the car will understeer terribly. And the problem isn't the amount of understeer but the fact that it's near impossible to regain full traction

Review:

Power delivery is excellent, the gearing is to thank. The car has so much grip, tons of it! In fact, it has too much. Therefore it understeers ALL THE TIME. That wouldn't be a bad thing if the car weighed 200kg less. The brakes have an aggressive initial bite, but their vice grip is quick to fade. The suspension feels great, though being so low, there isn't much wheel travel.

Comments:

Initial torque is pretty high for such a short wheelbase and hinders the car's potential to rotate effectively.

Scoring Guide:
Traction - 20/20
Stability - 20/20
Steering - 18/20
Braking - 15/20
Cornering - 15/20

TOTAL: 88/100

The score is what it is I suppose. I was away on vacation so I missed a lot. My driving technique also differs from Snake's but I won't question it.

Any answer to these ? One of my T400 tune managed 23s 1st sector and 56s 2nd sector at Akina, is this slow ?
 
My AWD T400 car is shared, it's not your usual car choice :sly:, but it gets the job done well - grippy and zippy :lol: If anyone bored or have nothing to do, feel free to drive it, tune is 90% done. She is a pretty chick.

T400 sign-ups are not open. However, there are some spots left for reservation, if you would like to apply.

Lastly, I don't know. I haven't been driving for quite a while.

I see :) Please put on reserve on any drivetrain entry that has low entrants. I have a tune for all 4, so I can enter any drivetrain layout :D I think my time is pretty slow, most of my tuned cars weight between 1300+kg to 1500+kg, not exactly light :lol: Be sure to check out my shared car Mat, she's one of a kind :sly:
