Any of you guys like Magners?

I like Magners but I prefer Strongbow. Also I think Magners tastes better without ice....

Blasphemy!!!

Not that I'm even a Magners fan but I don't think I've ever seen anyone drink it without ice.

And as a final note, sambuca tastes worse to me everytime I have it.

Dunno if you've tried this, but I remember I used to do it and it fixed the flavour of sambuca.

First off you serve the sambuca in one of those smaller glasses; the type that are a tad larger than a shot glass. Then you put between 5 and 7 grains of coffee in the sambuca and flame it... let it "stew" for a couple of minutes and then extinguish the flame (you can blow on it).

Enjoy... just make sure you don't choke on the coffee grains.

The coffee just kills the dry taste of the sambuca and gives it a sweeter aroma.

Strongbow has a more sharp and sour taste which is great and Magners is more smooth and apple-y which is also great, depends what mood im in for which one I drink but I tend to drink Magners more often... it really is great stuff and not as bloaty as beer.

As for sambuca I think it tastes ok but its better if you light it in your mouth then swallow it!

We did it a lot in first year uni just tilt you head back and have faith in the guy holding to lighter to put it down into your mouth properly!

One guy shoved the lighter into the other guys lip.... not pretty.... ahh the good old stupid days...

Well I don't think I'll be asking for coffee grains in a bar on a friday night, but I'll try it if anyone brings any to a house party. Should be a laugh if nothing else.

Just light it in your mouth as I said above, thats more entertaining!

Sam Adam's is an excellent choice, I think. I love their Winter Blend, and the Boston Lager is quite good too. Easily my favorite American beer, but Heineken usually gets the nod any other time!

If you burn it like that, don't you burn off most of the alcohol?

if you let it burn forever, probably. Granted, maybe 2 minutes is too much, but just enough to toast the coffee grains a bit. Other than that, you just need to let the glass cool down a tad and drink up... there's still going to be a lot left.

Dos Equis Lager anyone? My girlfriend picked me up a 6-pack and it's actually pretty tasty.

I have to say I don't like Mexican beers, for some odd reason. Corona and Dos Equis taste horrible, IMO. Negra Modelo is the only decent one, me thinks.

As for "chugging" I'll usually go with Heineken or Cruzcampo (Spanish Amstel-ish beer). As long as I don't have to taste the local beer.
