I *might* be around this evening.
Good luck on the move, Brandon. Do you get a garage too?

P.S. what's in Calgary to vacation at during summer?

I *might* see you then. Doesn't have a garage, I looked at a couple houses that did but they were either kinda crummy or in a crummy neighborhood or had crummy neighbors. This house is rather nice, almost everything in it is less than 5 years old (appliances, floors, windows, etc.), it has a nice deck and a great back yard, nice neighborhood with nice houses on either side. So I figured that was worth giving up a garage for. My uncle has one of those carports made with metal tubing and canvas, he said I can have it and the landlord said I can put it up, so that will be better than nothing.

Just got home from my yearly trip to the Indiana White Expo (State Fair), so I doubt I'll make it tonight...

LMFAO!!! I haven't been in a few years, when I do go I usually just ride the tram around all day and laugh at people.

I should have a room open in 10 minutes or so, will post numbers when it's up.

EDIT: Up. 1472 - 6118 - 3615 - 5260 - 4950

EDIT: CLOSED

I saw this today, a Dodge with Lambo doors. I think I need to adjust my relocation plans and find an entirely new state. 👎

Even New Castle doesn't have crap like this going on...

But don't they make Chrysler stuff down there? The Lambo door conversion kit was probably the highest quality piece on the whole car.

This looks like a good club. I'd like to participate if there's ever a time you guys are on line. I use a DFGT and personally prefer all assists off. I like to race average stock cars with comfort or sports tires and no slicks of any kind. I think the shuffle races are the way to go. I race clean and would rather slow down and avoid contact than barrel through the competition.

I had a room going for a short time today, but one of the guests didn't like my heavy mechanical damage setting. He asked for me to turn it off but I had to leave anyway. I need to race with people that know how to be careful and run fast at the same time. I feel like you should run the car like you paid for it and it's the only one you have. Car and tire preservation are key.

I'll keep an eye out for you in the lobby sometime. Hope to catch up.

Best,
Chuck

Hell no... The Chrysler plant went out years ago, even before all the GM plants went out in Anderson I believe.

You're a man after my own heart, I love to race with damage on heavy, but you need the right people in the room to make it work. I've been in a few random online lobbies with good drivers & damage on heavy, it really adds an extra dynamic to the races, gets the adrenaline pumping that bit more! :D

Heavy damage is a dandy idea, until someone random pops into the room and ruins a long race for a few people and quits.

Heavy damage tends to ruin my races in the first turn with someone running into me, although it could work fine with the usual group of drivers here in a private room. I like the idea of heavy damage the same way I like the idea of sobriety, it looks fine on paper but when you try to implement it in the real world everything starts to suck.

Ditto that. Funniest thing I've read in a while.

Light damage is ok I suppose, but you've got to have some consequences for your actions. Too bad some don't care. Wish there was a way to have a password requirement to get into certain rooms.

That would be cool, just like ol' GRID. (Private rooms had passwords ;), they were/are effectively like Lounges but you don't need to add the host.)

Good evening, folks. Is there anyone here who has firsthand experience with hybriding in GT5? If so, please PM me. I have a few questions that have been impossible to find answers to between the restrictions on free speech, dead links, and advertisements.

Meet me tonight, behind the van down by the river...

PM JonnyP, he's done several. Not sure if there's internet in Alberta, though... :sly:

I will do that, thank you.

Haven't played much in a while, and looking to experiment a bit with the physics before GT6 to get a better idea of what exactly is going on, specifically with tire/suspension coding.

Is anybody wanting to race this evening? I have a house project going on but can probably break away for a little bit if anybody's going to be around. This will probably be my last race night for a couple weeks, going to dismantle the rig this week and get it ready for the move. I'll be back up and running the first week of September hopefully.

I'll be going to sleep in an hour or so, as I was up all night. I may be around late tonite(tomorrow morning) but I am not certain.

I'm about to jump on and open a room, should be on until 9:30 or so.

EDIT: Gone

I had just missed it.... I jumped in and room was disconnected. Damn it! Oh well, I'll try again next time.

Sorry about that, I saw you pop in just as I hit the exit button. I'm moving next week so I'll be out of commission for a bit but should be back online by the 1st of September. 👍

No worries Brandon, finally had some time to jump on GT5 in awhile. Goodluck with the move...... Remember extra bubble wrap on the PS3!

Daytona Road Course will FINALLY have day/night transition in GT6. This made me :gtpflag: So will Spa, which should be epic as well.

That made me grin like a Cheshire cat too! :D Daytona Road is my favourite track in the game. Roll on GT6.
