I'm thinking of dropping, real life issues keep getting me back from practising in the championship or playing GT5 at all.
I wouldn't fret so much. I ran 6 laps before qualifying this week, when real life doesn't allow practice, just start further back and play the "slow and steady" game.đź‘Ť
Plus this way if your schedule frees up, then you can start practicing more again, and make a strong run later in the season. ;)

Hey guys, I'll be able to take on my first race week starting Monday. See you on the track!

Damnit, i missed the race. But i'd also like to say goodbye to WSGTC. Now i just can't commit myself to this anymore. But i'll stick around the forums and maybe i'll return sometime. But winning a race in this series was a gaming dream i must say and i fulfilled it. But like i said i'll be dropping out of the series until i'm able to return.

Hi guys,

I see some of us have been having some connection issues when race day is upon us. I would be willing to host a race (GT500 NTSC) as a back-up if the admin's want. This would also force me to stay in the series too, lol.

I joined a Nascar series in December, and our last race is Tuesday. The host asked me to start hosting the races a few weeks ago as him and 2 other racers were having issues in his room.

We found that when I hosted either a public room or private, there was no lag and I have had up to 16 racers at time. My connection is up to 100Mbps, and to ensure I don't have any issues, I make sure all other devices connected to my internet provider are turned off, including cable boxes drawing a signal. I have configured my PS3 to bypass the firewall as well via the router.

When I test my connection, my signal is very high quality for races, and my PS3 gets up to 22.9Mbps, the higest I've ever seen it so far. My location is British Columbia, Canada.

So just in case, the offer is out there.

I'm really down with this. The smoother the host the better overall race we'll have. I have no problem with you hosting since Teamrad had a problem connecting with me last race. đź‘Ť

Sorry to hear that mate

Ahhh god sake we are doing Spa twice xD. I have no moneyz to buy it!

I hope not, otherwise that isn't exactly fair on the Lexus side of things. If we had Spa again, that would make for 4 tracks which favour the Lexus, and 6 that favour the NSX.

3 tracks where the NSX has a heavy disadvantage, 4 which favor the NSX slightly, and 2 that are 50/50, should be about even overall I would think.

The OP has Spa in it twice.

Also, I think this really needs to be addressed. Are the races meant to start at 8PM GMT or do I have the wrong time?

Every race I've been in we have started 45mins+ late and for some of us its a problem. I have a feeling we start at 8:45 as I've miss-read something xD

Considering I took this from the OP, I disagree.

The connect time is 8PM GMT, the races are supposed to start at 8:30PM GMT. (20:00-20:30)
If the races are starting 15 minutes late regularly and it's a problem, say something, definitely.
We do not wait for late people if on-time people cannot stay late, that has always been the policy.

PP checks should be starting by 20:15 as well.

^^

Ah ok, just I hate finishing the race late. By the time I get showered and dressed up I am so late for real life stuff >.> Hard handling both things on the same night hehe

Hmm, seems like 2 tracks with a heavy disadvantage for the NSX, and 5 which favour the NSX to me. Laguna Seca and Monaco are the obvious disadvantages, and I think that you feel Nurb is a disadvantage too. In the pre-season race the NSX and Supra were still pretty fast, and even if those were the aliens, I can't see the NSX teams being at the back of the pack here.
The advantages imo are: Daytona, Indy, Monza, Spa, and Fuji. Easy to get away on these tracks and the corners don't really bog the car down. Especially on Spa, the difference in times was pretty big. A skilled driver would probably have got another second out of the Lexus than me, and maybe kept it in the 15's, but even so, that is still a second off the NSX.

But my concern isn't the tracks that have already been decided, that's a discussion that was had long ago in the after-season 2 thread. It's the last track that bothers me, I really don't think that we should be going to Spa again.

They are.
On the faster tracks, while the NSX is faster, the other cars can hang in the draft, essentially being impossible for the NSX to get away, tire wear always favors the not-NSX/YMS cars, Indy is a 50/50 track, and on the other tracks, the GTR clan can always drop some aero and add some power.

The NSX doesn't have much to gain through lower aero setups, the other cars do. ;)

Spot on!

I hope we see Deep Forest or SS5 this season :D. Best GT500 tracks you will find.

đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Not such a fan of SSR5, but I would love Deep Forest, or Grand Valley, that's always a cracking track to race on, nice and balanced too

On another note, This isn't a major problem or anything, but how come i'm the only GBR driver? all the others are ENG, SCO etc...

Not that I mind, just curious!

Wait, what? Deep forest? Lol. 2nd most overrated track in the game.

- Its not a slip stream fest
- Has technical parts
- High speed parts
- awseomeness!

GV is great to, I have a cometary I done from a race there

Was mega ill when I done the vid so sorry for the voice :P

Lol since when was awesomeness a criteria for a race track lol

I can just imagine Bernie Ecclestone telling Herman Tilke " and don't forgot to put plenty of awesomeness into the track "

Judging by most of Tilke's efforts, I can imagine the complete opposite.... lol.

You can't imagine it, but maybe that just illustrates why Bernie needs to be replaced ;)

I personally think grand valley would be a good end as it has fast sweeping corners and some nice technical sections.

Tokyo or Grand Valley are my vote. I agree to many tracks to use the same one twice. Plus Spa was a prerace as well.
