i don't know to whom i should ask this question, but will we have special condition races , like a night race or a rainy race? if not, why not then to have a couple of special condition events that will make the championship more exciting and challenging? would you agree with me people?

The last race if last season was a weather on race at the nurburgring 24hr circuit. The track was soon 100% wet. Everyone involved at the time said in future the races will be dry. Maybe it's something to look at again for season 4.

In Super GT, they use both Fuji and Suzuka twice. with Fuji being the wild card "no points balls to the wall" round after the end of the season.

But having Tokyo as a round would be much better than having Monaco or Madrid, to be honest. Tokyo is plenty wide enough except some areas an would be prefect for heavy damage "on". And would be sweet to take a picture with a whole gang of GT500's braking for turn 1. SS5 night track would also be an awesome street round. Very simple but tricky course. Especially the tight chicane before the final turn.

yeah , i guess it will be a good idea to consider night races also for season 4, just to add more challenging elements

Yeah but there's a big difference between challenging and gamebreaking elements in consideration to rain.

Night races simply didn't make it because the schedule doesn't have any tracks with a light cycle. Racing at night's fun and really not a big deal or taken out specifically, it just happened to be that there was no Nurb. or Sarthe this time.

The absolute killer, is that the NSX absolutely 100% can not keep up in the wet, no if's and's or but's about it imo, based on what happened the last GT500 race in rain I saw.
If you can take Spa and have it be dominated by GTR's and SC430's lapping the NSX's, you can't race the two in those(wet) conditions.

SS5 is indeed one for the cameras but apparently its real life tracks only in this series :(
I would prefer it be real world tracks, but I'd give in for full Cape Ring myself, absolutely awesome track for racing these cars. :)

When racing in either of the two lobbies (public, private), the room cannot be resetted, ie track changed at any time. If it is, the tire heat model is completely changed. This has been acknowledged by a couple of drivers. Not sure if all are affected by this though.

Just wanted to have this confirm for the next race so the hosts know what to do (or not rather)

I believe if the host is the same person as the lobby belongs to then the cold tire bug isn't present. Anyone else that goes in first is the host and then when the track is changed, its there. Not positive though.

I have tried it in my own lounge and the WSGTC rooms and the bug is everywhere. If you want to test in your own lounge the room should be set to the track of the week.

Grand Valley would be my choice.

I'm still in the camp of Nürburgring 24H for the final race; if we must stick with a real track.

However, I wouldn't complain one bit if we raced at GVS. I love that course!
(especially after the first a-spec enduro (which you can read my write up for in my sig ;)))

I don't think Tsukuba would be too bad for GT300, but I can imagine a total pit-fest with a full grid of GT500 cars.
Makes me curious why some people are even for it, how would you ever utilize all 500hp on such a tight track?

A grid of 16 gt500s (or 8 with 8 gt300s) on Tsukuba would shorten my lifespan quite significantly.

1. It's KT. Nobody here is KT. That makes your answer irrelevant. You basically just showed that only GOD HIMSELF can utilize all that power on such a tight track. ;)

2. That's also an empty course for time attack. I meant how will anyone use all that power with a full grid, where and how could you pass with 15 more cars on track? We all know that passing at Tsukuba is rarely easy.

If only we could have so much grip and not have to pit every 5 laps.
This...

OK8

...and this.

:P

I think the main point is that they do in real life, so it certainly should be manageable.

If we had the kind of grip the car on the video has, then yes Tsukuba would be good. We dont have that grip! An NSX or Supra in Tsukuba? :scared:

by the way, epic video! Wish GT5 GT500 cars sounded like that... Oh well

GOD lol
He's good but that good.

The "problem" with Tsukuba" is that its not difficult to pass there, its impossible. Its even more difficult than at Monaco IMO.

Between experienced driver, it will just be a line of cars going around, the only way to make a pass is by pit strategy. Between unexperienced drivers who often doesn't realize its impossible, you get the kamikaze dives with carnage follow.

The other "problem"with Tsukuba is .... I wouldn't like to race there with an NSX against GTRs and Lexuses.

To bad Grand Valley is out of the question being a fiction track. Together with Suzuka, they are the most balanced track in the game IMO, with no specific car andvantage.

Given above, I think Tokyo would be the best. Its a fun track, lots of overtaking, and out of the choices, the fairest between the different cars.

I vote for LeMans 2009 with chicanes, and weather/time change. I prefer real world tracks. Maybe a new track might come out in March.

We had that track come up already and everyone said that'll it benefit cars with better top end, but not to say that the track itself is a challenge and historic. I still wouldnt mind having it as a post season round with time and weather.

The problem with that track is that benefits the Supra and NSX big time. But Im ok with it for the GT300's :D

Just looked on the standings and it says that the next race is in the US, however the main thread reports suzuka being the next round... :boggled:

Which one is next?

And also (this may be because the final round hasn't been chosen yet) but there are only 9 rounds listed on the standings sheet with no space for a tenth and final round...?

Nurburgring GPF is next 👍
