Good day you sir,
I left the race right after it was done, completely forgetting about the sprint race as it was the first one after the feature race during the regular season. It was not till later on that night, when I returned to my PS3 I missed it. After the feature race, I figured I'm last again, no need to hang around in this lobby.
After speaking with a couple of stewards after Indy, I made the decision to pull out of the series.
As you may or may not have known for some reason, the Yellowhat Supra and I have not been able to get along since the start. It is either understeering or oversteering or both at any given time. This is totally my fault, as when I chose my top 3 cars, I never drove the Yellowhat, and neglected to test it prior to the series start.
I had tremendous support in attempting to "tame" this tail happy car, even with friends on the PSN network. I tried it all and spent hours trying everything in the book. I know what I'm doing, and your Raybrig NSX was tuned to my liking and used online on Spa with the same series settings and pp with a room full of seasoned racers. I was pulling 1-1.5sec. faster lap times than the Supra, and ended up in the middle of the pack when the race was done. I also did this for the Denso Lexus. Pretty much the same result. Maybe the 47/53 balance was a factor with the Supra, I don't know. I really could not find a happy medium with it.
Bottom line, I was not having as much fun as I'd hope. Struggling to get through corners and not getting lapped. Coming in last, front tire wear was horrid no matter what I did. The car always felt ready to slip out from under me.
So, next time, if there is one, I will choose wisely and ensure that my top three cars are ones that perform to my standards.
Good luck to you and everyone as well..
