NEPALIIMaybe we should allow people to go to settings menu and then we have to do PP checks again. It would be easier this way. Let's say someone wants to change something on the car's setup from the feature race. I think we should allow them to. To prevent cheating, we do PP check again, and AFTER the PP check NOBODY goes to settings or they are DQ. This would take longer but would be much simpler, imo.
twistedfireworkThe rules are decided. If everyone keeps to them, everything will run smoothly. It's the same track do you shouldn't need to change anything anyway. 👍
That sounds ok but does every car lose the same equal amount of HP and PP? If not then tweaking the rules like Nap said would be the logical thing to do.
Yeah that almost became a big mess.I was on old tires when Litchi and maxx caught me in Blanchimont.I hoped i was clear when i saw a flash in the mirror and suddenly you were there too.I dont think we touched but it was close call for sure. Not sure what was happening at the start. We (500s) let the 300s do the 1st lap and I thought they were supposed to line up behind us. Litchi said to stop and let them lead again so we were starting behind them for the race. Race went good for me, managed to open up the gap on 1st stint. On second stint I was catching IForce into the last chicane and I thought he was letting me though but it was going to be tight. As I was going into the turn he started coming in too. I almost T bonded him, but think it might have been a bit more my fault. But all good as we managed to stay off each other. Ty IForce for quick thinking on your part to leave enough room.
Almost caught they gt300 leader but just ran out of Laps. 1 more corner and I would have got him.
.
Some GT300's cant increase power w/o upgrades so this wont work.Im at 100% now and 1 hp below the limit to start with.I would have to add a turbo to gain 11 hp.NO, cars lose HP and PP by a percentage of its PP and HP. The higher the PP/HP the more you lose. Like I said, its is better to allow the settings to be changed and we do checks again to prevent cheating! It's fair to me.

That start procedure makes perfect sense now.Hopefully it will be in the OP next time

My oil isnt dirty, its the way my car fit into the new car specs. You oil is probably dirty, and needs change. You change it and the HP will go up by a percentage. Then it will go down as it starts wearing out.
NEPALIII think even with a fully broken in car, the HP/PP could change after the feature race. But whatever you say...
It's NOT ALLOWED to go in settings page and increase your HP after the feature race.
We will do a HP and PP checks after the feature race to catch people who ran with a not fully broken car.
If you race with a not fully broken car and/or if you go in the settings page between the feature and sprint race. You are disqualified for the Round.
End of discussion. Thanks
So another bug? Oh great
@ Litchi. Still waiting for you to say sorry to all the WSGTC members who race by the rules and guidelines. Or you got to much pride to do that?
What cars are available for GT500 Litchi?
I can confirm what your seeing with the tire testing I did today in the PAL and NTSC rooms.NTSC 2 will still set to Spa and the tires (RM) were still blueish after 3 laps.In PAL 2 the room was set to Fuji F and the tires were .5 sec quicker and lighter colored.I thought a bit more about the new "tire temp bug" discovered this week.
Summary and Fix.
All WSGTC rooms should be set at the track for the next race in the schedule. The track should at no point be changed to another track before qualifying or the race. I don't see any need to do it, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Some details:
Tires and grip works very similar in Open and Privat lobby, as long as the track has never been changed to another track in the Private lobby. When changing track in Private lobby, the tire temperature model change to something completely different. If changed once, the only way to get it back to its original stage is for everybody to leave the room.
I think this bug came into play with the new tirewear model. Below is a C&P of a post I wrote in a thread on gtplanet just after the new tire model was introduced, before knowing it only applied to when the track has been changed once (or several) in privat lobby. I do all my testing in private lobby and before now I always refreshed it before the test:
C&P
Racing soft:
They work very different from any tire before and I also think they are slower .
First, they take much longer to heat up and never went white. I got the best laptimes after 3-5 laps with 60-80% thread left. As the tires worn down, lap times didn't fall as much as before. With 30% left I still lapped less than one second slower than on optimum tires. At 20-25% thread, still very drivable, but now the grip was going down, falling off a cliff. The tires lasted for about nine laps. I think the reason why they might be slower is that you never got to hot (white) tires with more than 90% thread left. In fact, they were never as white as before.
end C&P.
This unaided test I think pretty much describes it.

I then went to my own lounge which is set to Trial Mtn rev and switched it to Fuji F and saw the same thing as the NTSC 2 room with blueish tires.
Finally i opened a public lobby/fixed host/high quality (recommended) and had no tire temp issues.I set the track to "F" and ran laps, then switched to GV,and back to "F" and if anything I felt like there might have been more grip after the reset, but the times were within .2.
