I agree that we should perhaps look into using RM's as an extra tyre. I completely agree that extra tyres should be something EXTRA, not something you try to avoid!

Still, race was fun. I made a fool out of myself by damaging my car when I was completely alone. Could have battled for the podium had it not been for that!

Again, this is why I suggested RM's for 1 stint.
No complaints of too few laps on them, and no taking strategy away.

The extra tires should be a bonus,(tires you want to use to gain time) imo, to truly add to the strategy.

Then atleast if youve got damaged through an off, crash or by lag like me you can use them to catch up to some extent by getting good clear air laps in and streching them as far as you can before happyily returning to hards.

We had a strange bug at our race today. I was affected but most were not.

When I enter a privat lobby like the WSGTC-PAL-1,etc, my tires heat up fine. But if the track gets changed to a new track my tires stay all blue and doesn't heat up at all at the same rate. I don't know how many else are affected or why that is.

After Twist reset the room by changing track and then back to SPA my tires did not heat up. We all had to leave the lobby and as we returned to a room where the track hasn't been changed, it was all fine.

This is very weird. I've been racing for one year in privat lobby were we have reset the track just before the qual for the race I haven't experienced it before. In fact I know of a bug before that i you didn't reset the room by changing track the tires wouldn't heat up, but now it seems to work the opposite, at least for me.

What is the exact settings of the four WSGTC lobbies. Race quality standard/high, etc.

It was the main tyre in our sprint race, for obvious reasons, I'd imagine it'd be the same for yours.

By the way, I'd really prefer if we'd leave these discussions for the main thread, these race-specific threads are really supposed to be for qualifying times, and race specific details before the race.

Sorry, can't make it again for tomorrows pre season race. I had prior commitment (with my Rotary club) that i need to attend to. I overlooked my calendar.

Edited: I now realize PAL sked suits me well since 4am race generally is not in conflict with any uneventualities/emergency calls that i receive during daytime.

I imagine that we can run 7 gt500 since we only have 10 total.I know we might have one more gt300 guy starting so that would fill a room.

What details were you looking for?
25laps + a formation lap.
Mixed class depending on numbers. Connect time and green flag time as normal. Nearer to the time it will be announced which room is hosting which race, whether it is same or mixed class. All cars will have the use if 1 set of race mediums only. The default tyre us racing hard. For formation lap and start point please check the first post in the thread.
One more thing, if I happen to wake up and numbers permitting I may join. (hopefully)

I was thinking more along the lines of 1 12 car race, with everyone who qualified, and those on the reserve list taking remaining spots, in the order they reserved them.
Of course, if people want to do say, an 8 car GT500 race and a 5 car GT300 race, or whatever they mount too, Spa is a terrible track for mixed class racing, with the major lap time differences.
