GTRA | RSeat WSGTC S3 | Preseason Round 5 | Spa-Francorchamps

If everyone really is okay with the time change FOR TODAY (not regular season), of course!

I just don't want anyone to have problems because of my request.

Is assume it obvious that we can not pit on the formation lap but I could not find it.

Besides that is there a minimum stint length? Or could I fx. do 14+1+14 laps if i really wanted to?

thats fine, i would say no pit on formation lap as the race hasnt started til after the total sign.

Gonna be honest, I really have no idea whats going on.

Wheres the room number?

If its in private, why is WSGTC-PAL-2 not online?

What time are we actually starting? I'm reading about 5 different times on the thread including the original 8:30pm..

Apologies for dropping out of the GT500 race.
My 3y/o daughter started acting the maggot so i had to leave :(.

Ouuuuhhhh calm down guys. Yea, this schedule change was only a request of drivers-to-drivers, not co-admin-drivers. And, it was a preseason race so...coooool guys. ok?

But no worry, for the regular season, the schedule will be fixed for the whole season. If a driver cannot race, it will be his problem.

And.. today is my B-day so.. be cool and have fun

sorry i don't run with sport soft because i haven't buy them :'( ( error with race soft ). you can disqualified me

yes but i overtake you two times ;) before and after your pit stop lol :) but i'm really so sorry ! i buy them tomorrow morning , promise

That race sucked lag bullcrap for the first few laps then no lag whatsoever for the rest of the race, im maintaining its just PD as its only the 1st few laps of a race I get it.

I dont see anyone lagging in free run then boom it goes mental at the race start.

After that I run a faultless race to get only 9th, when I had the pace easily to run upfront. Then to find out some people only did 1 or 2 laps on the SS tyre when its a "stint" not a "few laps" really annoyed me (I did 5laps). So I think either sod it and give Gt300s one set of mediums or just run on hards all day long because thats a joke and this in the feature screw seeing what will happen in the sprints.

Ive voiced my honest opinion now lets see if anyone agrees.

Only thing I want to be honest is Light Damage. Makes me race with more confidence. Other than that, it's good.

i dont see the problem, i take it its me your talking about. i started on sports soft and pitted at the start of lap 4 then i pitted again at the start of the 15th lap. i really dont think there is anything wrong with that. i decided i can make the racing hard tyres last 12 laps. should i only drive 10 on them?

I agree that 1lap is a bit silly and defeats the object of it but it won't always be the same as tracks have different wear characteristics

Sprint races will have a window so that's covered, maybe we introduce a minimum stint length in the features that corresponds with the number of laps that the window opens into the sprint race. In rounds where there is no sprint it can be decided what would be the window if there was a sprint race.

More checking of replays would be needed as well

There is no mandatory length for SS tires stint.
Making an entire extra pit stop for 1 lap, and I guarantee this: Will slow you down 9 times out of 10.

I see no point in having a tyre everyone clearly just avoids espicialy for the sprint race it was a good idea but it needs something a pre set amount of laps that need to be completed on the SS tyres.

Like in an Aussie DTM Series my mate races in where the have to do a certain amount of laps on each tyre which works great (They run light damage though).

oops. sorry, sorry, sorry.
i am looking at the replay, before the race started i changed my tires to sport soft, so i could start the race on them. in the replay it started me on racing hard's. i drove like they were ss and pitted early. there was really no need to pit when i did. when your driving it doesnt tell you which tires you are using.
sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry

If you could make your RH's last 12 laps each, you could do with 1 lap on SS.

So the way it works is like a bonus for preserving the RH tyres. We could mandate more laps on SS, but then there would be no gain in preserving tyres at all, just burn them. That would also be wrong in some way.

In the end I think we should scrap the SS's. They actually lessen the strategy, since it is no longer possible to do a 1-stopper, as there is no point in running half the race on SS.

Again, this is why I suggested RM's for 1 stint.
No complaints of too few laps on them, and no taking strategy away.

The extra tires should be a bonus,(tires you want to use to gain time) imo, to truly add to the strategy.

On the tire thing, I think I got it right for this race. I pitted when I had 50% left on the RH tires and on the first flying lap I was 0.3s faster on new SS tires. So perhaps frsh SS tires has the same amount of grip as 50% worn RH tires. I did 3 laps on the SS tires.

I think SPA is a low tirewear track. At last weeks race at Nurnburg I did one stop and had much worse tires at the end of each stint. The last longer stint I had maximum 20% left. Paginas who had the same pit strategy was almost down the rims. So at Nurnburg, everyone would do more laps on the SS.

In summary. On fast track like SPA and Monza, people will do very few laps on SS.
On twisty track, people will do a fair amount of laps on SS.
