Sounds reasonable.

So we stick with 20.30 GMT for the PAL races. For us europeans it will not make any difference yet.

But next week I would like to move it to 19.30 GMT to have it at the same time on the wallclock.

Right, the time has to change for somebody, and since it's the PAL conference, PAL time zones are what it's based on.

Of course it'll just be changing back to what it was before for NTSC guys anyway.

I totally understand that it's annoying and all. And we have no reason to not believe that your time was done in a correct way. You've been a straigh A participant thru the series. 👍

Thing is, that we need to be very strict regarding this to not open up any gray areas in the future, hence the strict ruling.

I'm sure you understand that we have no option but to black flag your run.

you have to change the qualifying system : 1 hour session wednesday for GT300 and 1 hour session thursday for GT500. 2 stewards for 2 players in race. it's just an example but i think it's better for all...

If Tony was afk for a few minutes, it could not have been impossible to wait for him to also spectate the quali.

Jash, I hear you, but the quali run is black flagged.
And I don't think we need to change the quali procedure, especially concidering how far into the championship we are.
This system has been proven to work out just fine, and the number of stewards is more than enough to ensure that you can get hold of one once you want to quali.
There's always the slight risk that someones schedule is tight and that finding a steward can, with a bit of bad luck be difficult in small windows of time thru out the week.
But that's something we have to live with, and it's hard to do it any other way.

Posting here in advance helps a lot too. It's all about planning ahead. 👍

It's unfortunate, but it is what it is, and there's not much that can be done to improve it. If we allow one to qualify without a steward, how do we then not allow everyone to just qualify themselves without a steward?
You had Tony in the room, I'm not sure why you ran it when he was afk, or why you didn't re-run it when he came back.

Set qualifying rooms are great, except not everyone can make the set times, so even if we can find stewards that can set times for qualifying in advance, we'll still have the bulk qualifying at random times by looking for a steward, etc.

If the stewards know when they'll be online and available a few days ahead, it works, yes.
But IIRC, when we held qualifying rooms with set times in advance before, they didn't see heavy traffic at all.

The system we have has been working mostly without a hitch for 2-3 seasons now, there's random occasions where one driver will miss out on qualifying, but that's going to happen whether we use this or any system.

If you post here a bit in advance I am sure some steward can make it. But the tighter the schedule, the more in advance perhaps.

If I had the replay this would be sorted already. It looked clean to me, but that was from my perspective while driving, so there is a chance it wasn't.
