Tony and GV27 are both stewards, your job then was to be a witness to the weight/hp/pp check and watch the run, which was 👍

BTW, will GMT reach DST by the NTSC race start, or does the GMT time for the race need changed?
People need to be aware of the DST monster.:scared:

GMT is by definition not DST adjusted. That is why it is so great :)

But the gmt vs pst/est times do not match now. EST is now GMT-4.

We will either have to race one hour earlier for us europeans, or one hour later for the americans.

Some PAL drivers have trouble racing earlier so I say we stick with the GMT times for PAL conferences. That is, one hour later in PST/EST.

NTSC conferences can use the PST/EST times, that is, one hour earlier in GMT.

So... does the race time for tomorrow change for me? It's all confusing. My hour time does not happen until saturday-to-sunday, so it shouldn't, but...

I think the only ones that would have an issue with the time in NTSC are MONSTAR and L.Hamilton.As long as they know what the difference is we should be ok using EST.

I was too busy to practice and qualify this week but I will be there for the race tomorrow. Put me on the reserve list please. And yes, I did look at the video showing the pit exit ;)

Well my qualifying was a complete stuff up, but I've discovered a new found career in improvised drifting. Every cloud and all that...

By default, if it turns into an argument, PAL should be linked to GMT, and NTSC linked to an NTSC time.(presumably EST/EDT)

And no, EST is GMT -5. EDT is GMT-4.

My point about GMT/DST is when the Brits and others start DST this coming Sunday, meaning when they start DST, they gain an hour, so whether they're converting to GMT or not, their race time changes. :)

But if their DST kicks in (assuming they both observe it) on the 25th, if I'm not mistaken it'll have kicked in before the race, which is held on Sunday, the 25th in Australia.

Race starts at 2pm Sunday for me normally. But it's 10pm Saturday for you guys. Your Day light savings wouldn't have started yet I don't think.
So do I start an hour earlier?

Our daylight saving started on the 11th.
It's whether your DSt starts before or after the race that affects the race time for you, which I believe you'll start the 25th, and DST will have begun by race time for you as well.

It's was last week when half the field was planning on an hour later it really mattered. (which it really didn't anyway:P )

yes..Melbourne is +15 hrs to New York (EDT) until you guys change you clocks ahead (April 1st?).

Hmm not sure when but it
It's be close lol. I'll just be there early anyway like last week as CSL pointed out lol

I'm not going to comment on the start times.. Cause I'll just mix things up. So I'm staying out of it.

tony1311 is a steward, and has been for a long time.

Reason why the previous times spectated by you are legit is that you spectated a steward.

What's required during a quali session is that a steward is in the room making sure everything in it is set to correct values/numbers/settings etc.

So you can spectate a quali session, but only if a steward is in the room. Like in the case where you've watched GV27- and tony1311. That's perfectly fine.

However, if there's no steward in the room, any quali runs are deemed not valid.
It can seem strict, but we need to stay to what we decided from the very beginning. The information is in the OP.

So any quali run done without a steward in the lobby is not concidered valid.

A driver who did a non valid (due to the abcence of a steward) quali run, is ofc permitted to redo his quali with a steward in the lobby, given that the deadline is not reached ofc. 👍

Thanks for clartifcation. I tried to get things clear and only made it worse

Sounds reasonable.

So we stick with 20.30 GMT for the PAL races. For us europeans it will not make any difference yet.

But next week I would like to move it to 19.30 GMT to have it at the same time on the wallclock.
