A quiz? Oh boy I'm so up for it :D

That happened in Jerez, last race of the season, by the way.

Omg guys have all the results been added to the sheets if so I got pole!!!!!

Well done Pag, especially as you only had one lap to do it.

Looking forward to the race. You're good in enduro races, and I hope we'll have an exciting and strategic event.

Wardez
Lol, I'm always down for a quiz :P

And by first I mean who actually set the fast time first. Not on which lap. And I definitely do not give 100% on my first flyer. That's my safety lock in lap, after that I go balls-out.

Oh ok I see what you meant. That would be the best idea. Just another reason why people should get their qualifying in as soon as possible. Kinda like the early bird gets the worm ;)

The startline is NOT the same line as the one where the timer starts. So just because the timer starts when you pass the line to do your first real race lap, you can not overtake.. The startline is where the pit exit is place.. I'll post a picture..

Just noticed, Lotus Elise is a GT car now?

also, when will the points be up from USA?

Cheers

That was Wardezes 2nd ps3 acount (Camera car) ;). I helped I was the flashing light GTR :P.

The qualifying sheet seems to be down. Just Suzuka, Indy is still working.

I don't think I can race tonight. It's been a crazy week at home. Count me out for now, I will show up for the race if I can.

Good luck tonight fellas!

I'll be on tonight Pst for qualifying for NTSC. Only 3 in each class as of now. 1 starting in back. Not going out tonight so I'll be available.

I shall host tonight for gt300 as twisted is not sure he can make it....

I will open room is about an hour as I need to get some more practice in, my lap was just pure luck, the car feels way too lively for an endurance race lol. Plus need to test the medium tyre, as I feel it won't last long at this tyre eating track lol

Going to do my first laps of the week now so I'm opening a practice room

I've had the worst race ever! Crashes? No. Damage? No, not that either. I've only experienced the powerlessness of a wrong tactic (for my driving style).

I tried to make it a 14-28-42-52... what a huge mistake it was. Of course, winning was not a possible goal today if nobody made a big mistake. But if I had stuck to the strategy the first drivers had, I could have been 4th today. Instead, I had to sweat blood in order to make it until the end of each stint. And on my last one I even had to run two laps without front tyres, losing at least 10 seconds and 20 seconds on each of those. I know I'm not good at tyre management, but today was just depressing; because it was my decision to do it like this, and it didn't work.

At least I drop 20kg ballast, although it won't matter that much at Monza, and my car won't be the top car there anyway (just as Daytona, too). My goal was to win a race this season. I'll admit that goal is dropped now. I will just keep going and try to get the best possible result in every race. Maybe even a top 4 in the championship if I'm lucky. Simply assuming a win is out of reach!

Oh well, hard work without talent can only take you so far.

Well, I went in to this race with absolutely no tyre endurance testing, so I was forced to come up with a pit strategy on the fly.

All in all it was an average race for me, kept myself to myself for the most part, then saw jash and byggy pitting in on lap 32ish and decided then that i'd try to go for a 3 stopper. was on the mediums at the time and used those as much as i've ever used a tyre without them going red (still managed respectable lap times though, lap before pit was a 2:11.000) then drove the 'last' hard tyre stint carefully.

All of it was to no avail as i saw jash pull out of the pits about a half second ahead of me after his last pit. a couple of laps after that I realised that I had a fair gap between me and Scanny so decided to play it safe and pit in for a fresh set to stop me from making a huge mistake and suffering like GV.

JohnKiller managed to lap me just as I was coming out of the pits, but I had shiney new tyres and amused myself in the dying laps by chasing him. Managed to catch up and overtake just before the end of lap 52 so I can still claim that, in this race at least, I was not lapped 👍 (yes, I realise that this is the first race of the season I haven't been lapped... hence my joy :D)

Was very pleased that I was within half a second of the lap record for this race, but surprised that it still only put me in 5th (or 6th) for the best lap points! some very good pace from the whole field.

All in all an average race for me. Really dreading Monaco...

and toyot, JohnKiller won.

EDIT: Tree'd

Yeah, I wanted to type to you and tell you to change to a 4 stopper on lap 9.:scared:

Interestingly Sail IC was doing the best on tire wear, and looked as though he could run a 3 stopper, and pit 4 times.
