I'm surprised at the early submission Dom.

Good target for Laguna :D

I was driving around a bit and realized I was just chasing phantom hotlaps, I ran both these tracks a lot recently, so I figured what the hell?

Pretty solid run at Laguna, a bit iffy at Suzuka, not to bad though.

Are the exact lap times for all 4 laps needed? I assume so, I can have them up in a bit, room's still open though if anyone want to practice, no need to set a quali so early. (unless you want to, which you can of course)

So i cant just get online in GT5 and do some runs and qualify i have to write on here and wait to be contacted by somebody capable of watching my run and seeing if i made it or not?? i am confused sorry first time for something like this...
Yes. Sometimes, like now, rooms are already open, in which case you can just hop in, but you'll need a steward around to verify room settings and observe the runs, save the replay, etc.

My advice to everyone is to make sure you practice enough first, you only get one shot. Had I not ran these two tracks so much recently you wouldn't be seeing my times yet. ;)

Practice room: 1472-4711-0038-4895-3506
I'm not in the room right now, be back in two hours. Feel free to run around.:)

CLOSED.

Hey I know im being douchy, but I signed up for the GT500 Pal competition. Should I wait to be called ? Or am I supposed to do something after signing up?

Read this FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Everything should be there. If you're question is not there, then let us know.

NOTICE: Rule change - only Stewards can open qualifying rooms from now on.

Will edit the OP when i get the chance.

Oh, i was going to open a practice room, strictly no official qualifiers :)

Looking for a steward who will be online Sat the 3rd at 10p EST. Any takers?

What exactly means PROHIBITED TUNING. I mean, is there anything I CAN do on the car? Or I must not touch any of the settings?

Since the qualifier uses vehicles from the recommended garage, it means you can't do any tuning to it. During the regular season you can tune suspension, brakes, LSD and transmission, but nothing else.

Thanks!

Brake balance can be adjusted in game even though tuning is set at prohibited. I'm guessing it would be safer to say that you're allowed to adjust the brake balance, as there's always going to be some people who change it anyway and will gain an advantage from it.

I see, i also noticed that you can adjust brake bias even if it is set to 'prohibited' can anyone confirm?

Yeah, it seems that way for all cars, something we just have to live with I guess.

Yeah, brake bias can be adjusted, that's. Using anything else, even not having default transmission settings will not allow you in.

Right. We'll put that in as optional.

That's what I wasn't sure about. Thanks Aderrrm. Brake balance helps a lot. Thinking I can't touch it would cost me some time.

Sorry I withdrawing my registration.I thought it was a no tuning competition.

The qualifier has no tuning, but the actual series, yes it has and even though I prefer no tuning, it wouldnt work here as there are different cars so it is necessary to tune them to make them competitive. Sorry to hear that you are withdrawing, it would be nice to have you.

Just want to make sure everyone notices to set the room quality to standard, I bring it up because we're so used to "high" in case anyone missed it.

That's a weird change... did Masi find a difference?

I think it's to help slower connections, which I believe it does.

Is a room the same as a lounge? I test in my lounge but when I go a room I'm almost sure I'm faster.
My lounge has it's quality set to "high". Could that change the lap times? Would a "standard" room be quicker? Or does that just help lag?
Thanks.

It should help with lag, not sure about speed though (grip).
