Hello to all.
Looks like ye are on the last race of the season?
Just wondering when Season 3 is starting up?
And when is sign up open?

I was here before in season 1 if anybody remembers :P

I remember you and so do many others, been wondering when you would finally return ;) Only race left is the finals between the top 4 in GT500 and the top 4 in GT300. Season 3, from what I've heard, will be starting up next January.

Been a long time since i put a set of Racing hards on a SuperGT car tho :dopey:👍

I need help from everyone to check the replays.

I need disconnection laps from everyone who started and did not finish.

Who turned the fastest laps?

Oh, Sorry. I finished my report on the GT300. I tend to lose track of time when I write, didn't think it took this long.

As I stated prior the race, I could not monitor the thread over the entire weekend.. That's why I've been quiet in here.

So, the final:
Date: Initially, I had this friday as race day. But, since the DLC pack arrives tomorrow, and I want to check that one out before finalizing anything about the final, I aim to move the race to next friday (28th).

Car: Acura NSX RM. Painted BLACK!
Winner in GT500 class will race with car number 51, winner in GT300 class will race in car number 31.
2nd placed drivers will race in car 52 and 32.
3rd placed drivers will race in car 53 and 33.
4th placed drivers will race in car 54 and 34.

The races will go down like this:
Race 1: 51 vs 34
Race 2: 52 vs 33
Race 3: 53 vs 32
Race 4: 54 vs 31

Race 5: Winner R1 vs Winner R2
Race 6: Winner R3 vs Winner R4

Race 7: Looser R5 vs Looser R6

Race 8: Winner R5 vs Winner R6

All races will be a 5 lap sprint race.
1 mandatory pit stop.
Racing Hard
Heavy Damage
Fuel/Tire wear ON
Slipstream: Weak
Grip reduction: Real

Quarter finals: Suzuka
Semi finals: Spa Franchorchamps
3rd place race: Spa Franchorchamps
Final: Suzuka

This is what I can tell you guys right now. I need to see exactly what the DLC pack includes, and since we are going to use Spa, I suggest we race the final Friday 28th due to the lack of time.

Will it be streamed in the Internet? I would love to spectate.

One thing - Why the mandatory pit stop? Given GT5's infamous "holdups" anyone that does get held up is going to be seriously PO'd.
On a 5 lap race, that would likely be the sole deciding factor unless someone really screws up.

If you enter the pits properly, there's no holdups.
I will try the spa entry once I got it, and see if there is a holdup possibility similar to seca or daytona.
Suzuka is not an issue when it comes to this.

The pit is to include a bit of tactics in to the equation.

We will allow 6 spectators in the room.
Spectators will act as stewards.
Spectators will state imidietly after the race if he saw anything, or if the race was clean. Spectators will decide if the race is valid together.
All drivers not on track will also spectate.
12 stewards, 6 on each driver.

In the Nurb 24hr race, I watched Lynchy drive into the pits ahead of me, driving the same line, my stall was about 5 behind his, and because mine was closer, I was done a hair before him, and his car sat until I passed, I have to assume making him wait till I passed.

I'm not saying it's 100%, but I'm sure nobody wants to lose or have do-overs because the game glitched, just saying.

Cool, sounds good Denilson. The date makes sense too 👍

Is it standing start? Who starts 1st and who 2nd? Other than that, all answered I think!

Pit stop is cool too, as you say, it will add an element of strategy to the race. Looking forward to it :)

I will go through replay when I get home in a few hours

paulmac2k9: You're allowed to tune it as much as you want.
It will produce 425 bhp.
559 pp with aero maxed out.

WSGTC | Final-4 Shoot out | October 28th

* Car: Acura NSX RM '91
Bhp: 425
pp: 559 (With aero maxed out)
Tuning: All tuning allowed.
Paint: Body/wheels: Nero/Nero (Mandatory)
("Nero" is a black Ferrari paint. Search for it by selecting "Ferrari" when viewing your paint clips.)

Quarter finlas: Suzuka
Semi finals: Spa Francorchamps
3 rd place: Spa Francorchamps
Final: Suzuka

Rolling starts.
The highest placed driver in each respective table will chose lane prior race.
If the 2 drivers ended up in the same overall position, the driver with most points will chose. If 2 drivers got the same amount of points, wins will be what will decide. If 2 drivers got equal amount of wins, podiums will decide.

The race will be set to 6 laps.
One of the spectators will act as a pace car.
When the pace car reach the start/finish straigh, the 2 competitors will line up alongside eachother, and behind the safety car on each respective side of it.
Keep 100% of the pace car in your view (Same as during our rolling starts for the races).
Pace car will roll at 100 km/h (62 mp/h) in a steady pace.
Make sure to line up properly, and keep the same pace as the pace car.
The start is decided by the pace car driver. Somewhere before the start line.
When the safety car hit the brakes, the race is on!
Make sure to stay to the side. If you're directly behind the safety car when it brakes, you'll most likely recieve damage and on this level, you're screwed. Period!
Make sure to stay well beside the safety car during the start procedure!

To reduce the risk of lag, the pace car driver will stay in the pits (or in a secure area on track). Sometimes, when drivers jump out, we experiance huge lag for a second or 2 sometimes. So in order to reduce that risk, the pace car will stay on track during the entire race.

Not final, but I believe this is the line up for the final shoot out.
(Need to get the exact results from the last round before it's final)

GTP_Aderrrm: 32

paulmac2k9: 34

remembering hotuses score is wrong its 320 not 327 but im not sure that matters....

@ Doc - Thanks 👍

@ Dennis - Awesome

@ paulmac2k9 - points will be checked multiple times for accuracy :)

@ Everyone - since the shootout will most likely be moved, Photoshoot this friday?

Dennis, beings 8 people are locked into the finals. Can the 5th-8th in each class get dibs on viewing the race?

Also
I will look into making live stream happen. I know I can from the iPhone. However id rather do so through a camera.

The photoshoot this Friday is fine with me. Could be some good fun. Maybe a few laps around a track for a few action shots.

Good idea for the spectators, owens 👍

Is it worth seeing if Wardez would be willing to help us out with a live stream for this?

Haha uh oh, hope my cheeky 'I believe in you!!' etc messages prior to your quali laps don't come back to haunt me :sly: :scared:

Tuning question been answered. Thanks paul.

Not liking this mandatory pit stop thing. There's not that much strategy involved in a 6 lap race.

The pits in GT5 are horrible and random. Yes if you go into the pits too fast you will be held but there's too many other inconsistencies in the AI which takes control of your car. E.g. slowing down for a car which is 30 ft in front of you, not pulling out of the box even though the car passed seconds a go. And sometimes it just pulls into your box at different speeds. E.g. at Daytona Road I brake for the pit lane, and roll into my box at like 10 mph. I checked Mole's pit stop and he also brakes, and rolls into his box at like 20 mph (i.e. his car broke later for the box). No reason for that other than the awful pit lanes in GT5.

Looking forward to the Finals though. :)

Do you mean only brake balance, LSD and suspension tuning is allowed? Is 425 bhp and 559 pp the max when the car is 'stock' but fully broken in with oil change and with aero maxed out? What I'm trying to say is, without other parts added and then power limited down to these figures.

I was hoping that the pit issues would be fixed. It is so frustrating seeing this. I have lost races because of the pit issues on the game. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.
