I'd imagine racing cars have a very small turning radius on the steering wheel so they dont have to swing the steering wheel very much. Almost like go karts where you go from opposite lock to opposite lock in less than a full 360 turn. My G27 has 900 degrees of turn so taking a full lock turn say like at Tsukuba would require alot of wheel movement! Not really practical I'd say.

I wasn't aware there was a steering sensitivity option for steering wheel controllers. I thought it was just for the pad users. Might check that out tonight.

The NSX is so much of a beast that I don't even dare to go full lock. I have a G27 too by the way, so it's no different. I have always raced with steering sensivity at 1 (which is the standard setting). I don't think it makes any difference to your pace, you would just have to adjust to it.

EDIT: I'll just try out both the minimal and the maximum setting and tell you what I think about it.

I've opened a practise room: 1472 - 6118 - 3744 - 3750 - 1623

I'm sorry guys but I'm going to have pull out of this championship. I was hoping I'd be able to make this weeks race, but I've just got too much work to do.

Thanks for having me and I hope the rest of your season goes well :) 👍

Sorry to hear you won't be racing with us anymore.

Good luck with your series 👍

Thanks for letting us know ark, you're a great guy. Hope you can come sometime, you're more than welcome to do so!

This means that one very lucky person gets a ride in a slightly used Calsonic GT-R

Please guys. I need to know if you're going to stay with us or not.
I've sent all of you PM's without getting any replyes.

Everybody need to help me to contact all drivers. If you're in a team where you got a teammate that have not shown, please, try to get hold of him.

Sorry, just one question to see if i have time for racing here. How much time total is the race with all procedure?

The last GT300 race lasted just under 1 hour 30. Add to that 5-10 minutes of regulated track entry as well.

This week is an enduro though. I'd guesstimate it to take between 2 hours 15 - 30 minutes from the official start time.

Hey twisted. How's practice going?

It's going ok. I think another couple of hours practice and I will be ready to qualify.
I should bo on about 7-30ish tonight if you want to practice.

I agree. the NSX is a beast! I just think it's alot less prone to losing control if you can quickly reach opposite lock incase of a slide. instead of winding it 2 1/2 turns you can just quickly countersteer. I drove a Formula 3000 a few days ago at our local F1 track and opposite lock was more like 300 degrees of turn from left to right. let me know how your test works out!👍

Completely OT, I know. But you HAVE to tell me more about this!!
How the **** did you end up in a F3000 car at Abu Dhabi F1 circuit??

I'll come and find you...i want to get used to the car with the added weight

Speaking of wich... Do we have a table stating how much ballast drivers have??
If so where??

I know I have 10 Kg as I finished 3rd in Fuji and missed Tsukuba.

I've seen some details in the race thread but only for the ballast, not the resulting PP.

The PP for the RX7 with +30kg is 532 btw.
I'll get the other RX7 weight-affected PPs to you guys as soon as I'm home from work...a table with all the details would be great though, for quick reference.

Ok found it.
Its in a logic place.
I was looking in the main thread but it really belongs to the specific race thread. 👍

You're 6th.. But I hear you.

MH4wheel, twistedfirework, Shrugging_Atlas, GTP_Masicampo, Scanny_Flick are still to quali....

I hope they can all make it this week.

Well I rushed things and qualified after 5 minutes of practice in a track I don't really like.
Bad lap all around and managed to make it worse in the last chicanes almost sending the car to a wall.
I guess I'll end up in D2 for the first time since first pre-season race I entered in last season at Laguna Seca.

Denilson,

check out the link Yas F3000

It's actually pretty easy :) Was great fun too! I'd guess we got up to about 140mph at the limiter in 6th gear on the back 1.2km straight!

EDIT: I'm going to gym now, but I'll be back in around 2 hours. Can anyone host a quali session at that time?
