Replay file here: http://www.mediafire.com/?bfghjj5k26kazaf

what program do you use to view the replay?

300's usually have the racing line, as I understand it. It's better if you keep it that way so others know what you're doing as they approach. That's how I am anyway lol

and that was perfect I thought. I had no problems with the 300s. Only on 1 occasion early in the race I was coming up on the dude whos name starts with Sin and I just totally tried to get it done under braking and was wayyy far back so I straight lined to the apex and was going slow and tried to cut as tight as possible to give him room but he slammed me in the side. we didn't get messed up tho

You have to use a USB flashdrive to move the file to your PS3 and then you can watch it like any other replay

Yea I did that the other day and the PS# file goes to the flash drive but there is a whole bunch of file in that and there's no real video file. And with alefins replay thru mediafire, I d/l'd it and the same thing happens

Start was a disaster, at turn 7 first racing lap Mike88 ran wide and I was already fully commited to the turn so I had nowhere to go but into him. Even so I still waited.
It is at about the 50 second mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOpMh6GLuzo :(

Zach also had a fairly disastrous race, so even with no tires and fuel I was just able to get fifth off him, he must have been held up for a LONG time.
And also thanks to the GT300 cars, even in their own battle they had GREAT awareness, especially Kandy, Tier and Panoz. :)

It wasnt ur fault phil. And if they get loose like that and come down in fromt of u im pretty sure u dont have to wait up. But it was courteous

Thanks Slide, I was pretty scared for a moment there. At first I thought maybe I understeered off but I was on the racing line at time of contact.
I have to start doing better in my qualifying efforts.

Also Shagg, what is the + - on the drivers standings, next to the no.?

And I just realized Immortal has a helluva lot of weight now lol. Should help us mere mortals. :P

Replay can only be played on ps3. Have to take that file and put on ps3 then upload into GT5.

There are probably some youtube videos on how to transfer the replay data, but here's the gist:

Download the compressed file, decompress it. The folder should come out something like "PS3/SAVEDATA/BCUS98114-RPL002/<bunch of files here>." Drag the entire decompressed "PS3" folder and its contents onto the backup drive. Unplug the flash drive from the PC.

Plug in the flash drive into your PS3. If you did everything right, you should now see the replay data when you go to XMB > "Game" > "Save Data Utility (PS3)" > flash drive. If you didn't copy the data correctly onto the flash drive, it will show up as "Corrupted Data." Hit TRIANGLE and copy the replay to your PS3. If you don't copy the data from the thumb drive onto the PS3, it will not show up in GT5.

Start up GT5, go to GT Mode, Replay Theater. Near the bottom of the screen, above the red "Close" icon and "Search/Sort" icon, will be the "Import" icon. Click on "Import" and choose the replay. After it's imported, it will show up in your list of replays. Enjoy.

PS - For the cars with extra weight either due to success ballast or regs, is the weight required to be at position 0 or can people move it around?

Theres no way to police it so I guess yeah..

I was a victim of ABud's DC. He disconnected at the breaking point into the Parabolica and I was on his outside. His car, now driverless, hit my car into the sand. Fought back to 5th and lost weight! :embarrassed:

Really sorry about that, hopefully by the next time I can race I'll have a more stable connection!

Was I lagging much whilst we were racing?

Been doing some hot lapping around monza, and it seems that the arta is the worst car around here. Fastest I've managed is a 53.427 in dragons scubi in a relatively aggressive setup. Considering a car change. When I look at the calender I just wonder whether the arta will prevail anywhere. With the likes of spa, fuji, le mans and daytona road and possibly suzuka the arta will be second fiddle in these tracks too since they all high speed tracks...how long do I have until I can change cars?

Cars are finalized after the 3rd race. So the car you use for the 4th is your official car for the rest of the season. We can take a look at the premium arta and see what we find. Maybe give the standard ARTA a try see if you have it. I know those two performed differently so maybe the premium needs a bit of help.

Let us know what you decide and sorry for any inconvience if it turns out we didn't do the premium good enough. I'm pretty sure the standard was on par with the rest.

Any ideas on what time to aim for on Nurburgring?

No idea for the 500s. Like the early start your trying to get though 👍

Also make sure you guys follow The GTRRL on Facebook (even if you don't have one). We post pictures featuring the winners each week and also keep you updated on what's going on :)

Also a shoutout to Adam on doing a great job hosting Room B. From what I've heard it went really smooth. Thanks for the help mate 👍

Its no inconvenience at all mate. Im sure the cars are level but the tracks I've listed are all high speed and I dont think this is where the arta is good at. I think you guys have done a great job at levelling the cars. Especially 500's...👍

Probably get on and run some laps around Nurburgring and see if i even want to race this weekend, i loathe this track and i just know i will not enjoy this race at all.

I like the Nurburgring GP/F, it's like Indy RC (in my mind anyway, lol) :P
Im worried about Daytona RC and SPA (because I don't have it, so I'll lose a ton of points there) :(

You have no way of getting it? :(

killa in testing tracks like fuji and spa, the arta premium is the best or number 2 car to have, and should be the best at laguna and monaco it's got great cornering speed which is better for these 2 tracks, others like monza and le mans it may be at a slight disadvantage. Daytona road is hard to decide IMO. alot of time can be mixed and matched through the infield and the the long straights for the 2nd half of the lap. We've already experienced this in our LMP series at daytona road where the audi 05 which had the best cornering ability was top notch with the bentley and toyota cuz it gained so much time through the infield with it's high speed cornering ability. I'll give em a run again for sure, don't want any cars to be to far off from each other.

I went back and looked at the data and we forgot to fill in some times for the premium arta so I can't see what it actually did. We can just relook at it and see. Always a tight rope trying to balance these cars haha.

But Nadiur I'd just use which ever your fastest with and most comfortable with. Nothing wrong with giving yourself the best opportunity to win 👍

I'll take your word for it. I think Its just that two back to back races in tracks which arent kind to the arta might have influenced my opinion about it. Of all the cars I find the arta most comfortable and not a pain when turning in. I think I'll just stick with the arta. Theres no way I'll be able to be anywhere near your pace as it is dragon but its just that the arta was a bit down compared to others in first two tracks.

Haha yeah. Balancing is a very mind sapping and depressing thing to do. But I'd say a great job has been done...👍

There was no lag that I saw, everything was going good until that moment.

Feel free that if you feel better in another car to switch. That's why we removed car limits so anyone can choose any car on car list

Lonely race for me except for a couple of scrapes with GTPanoz in-between our off setted pit windows, but all in all a solid finish. My pack got cut off by the lead pack with-in a couple of turns so I knew if they were not fighting and knocking tenths of each others pace I was going to be screwed for a podium position. I ran my program perfectly by my standards and even ran a couple of 1'53's with no draft pull so that's something to get excited about but the best part of the race is when I thought the front runners were out of gas and I had made a last lap victory in my class, lol O well!,..

300s checkered flag is done right with 500s, once the 500 leader crosses the line, whatever 300 car is behind him to cross the finish line no matter what position or lap that driver is on your race is done. Like me I crossed the line last night just behind immortal pilot and messaged everyone to remind them 300s race was under checkered flag so you had the rest of your lap till u crossed the line. the delay after the 500s finish is for this and if everyone just falls into formation after they finish, it makes things alot easier for us stewards.

also I wanted to give the reason why I asked everyone to lineup in order before I started race, the ones that were lined up were already in formation basically besides the few that didn't get on track and lineup. coughs *canze* coughs, haha jk

One more thing I need to address is that the formation of the 500s last night was slow, I was maintaining 70mph once we started rolling and almost caught the back of the 500 pack before the start of the race. Just to remind the internationals that use kph, 70mph=112.654kph. so please maintain 113 112 kph pace if your on the pole.

Ah, ok. Then my initial count of the completed laps may have been off by one lap for some. Also I believe josh and Sinladar were still racing until the very end of the race delay, changing positions quite frequently. They should have just stayed in their respective positions when tensor crossed the line?

I truthfully think everyone should race till the end of the timer. For one the 300 cars will be guessing on how many laps they need to run every week at least with running till timer runs out they will be closer to actually going the distance that everyone in reality should be going each week. And overall it will just make it much easier for results.

I agree with King, just race as much as you can for how much the timer allows. If the race ends once the person in first passes the line, then you can make the timer as short as possible, I think 20 seconds to minimize problems. In the case of the Monza race, I'm looking at the replay and it looks like josh overtakes Sinladar right as tensor passes the finish line. I don't envy the person that has to make a judgment on that lol.

Then again, maybe this is all moot seeing as Shagg hasn't clarified yet lol
