Biggest complaint so far is in the 'bit-kurve'. Coming out of that corner there is a strip of grass that I think the game registers as dirt. Cause If I barely touch it the car bogs down and sinks and there easily goes a second. And some times If I hit it while turning, the left rear digs into the track and around I go.

I've since adjusted my line and actually caring more speed through there without coming close to that strip of grass, or dirt, or... well whatever the Germans want it to be

Just had a stroke of luck and did a rather sideways 56.9, rest all mid 57s but tires wear fast and fall off a HUGE cliff in terms of pace. :(

Have to specially lower my brake bias for here because my front wheels keep locking up going in.

Oh damn it King you make me depressed lol, I worked hard to get that 56.9 and you blitz it on your first flyer. :grumpy:

Hopefully I can get into room A.

i don't get why you guys don't like the track?!?! It's so much fun; I wish I were near a PS3 so I could run it with you guys. The technicality and flow of the track makes it amazing to race on; however, I do know from practicing for GT Academy that it is very tempermental and a line you thunk is slow, is fast, and one you think is fast, ends up being half a second slow. Just remember, it's all about the exit of the corners here. You want as much speed as you can coming out of 1, 4, 7, 12, and 16, and carry as much speed as possible through the Schumacher Esses and the Chicane.

Im actually pretty fast here got down to a 1:55.229 which is pretty fast i think. But i still hate the track, im gonna hate it more with the extra 60kg i have lol.:ouch:

But you are completly right is a rythm track very technical and some corner going high in middle of a couple of the right handers to get a straighter line off and to hit the banking a little more helps stabilize the car. At least thats what i have learned. Tire wear is really bad here though and with the extra weight i have dont want to know how bad its going to be then haha.

The two worst turns in the GP/F circuit I believe is the second part of the Schumacher S and the Bit-Kurve. If you running a real hard lap and using every bit of track, the curbing and sand traps will catch you and killing your lap.

But the schumacher S is taken flat in both classes. I agree that the bit kurve's exit is pretty annoying. There are sandpits in places where they shouldnt be.

Whipped man. Very whipped man. :P

Lmao. She gives you pains in the butt? :ouch:

Takeaway dinner mate. :P

lol... Not liking the direction this conversation is going...

Well I wasn't gonna say nothing cuz you already heard it from me how many times shagg, but at least others agree with me, who would of knew :odd: lol you know i'm always messin.

It's all about rhythm which reminds me of getting into a rhythm at laguna. Not suprising king would be fast here cuz he's fast at laguna too. only difference is here you wanna make sure you have a clean exit like mentioned before cuz you can lose a ton of time down the straights. Wish we were racing F1s, I'd have a blast here.

Shagg after my speed test I going to find a pit window, but I cant do it correctly until I know roughly what the laps are going to be?

Thankz!

I would say 30 laps will be the race distance. Used 2 minutes as the pace and 1 hour race should be 30 laps.

Since I finished 8th I guess, does that mean I get 20lbs/kgs off? What happens if I finish worse than 6th again? The 2000 NSX is stock 1150.

the -ballast penalty is only for weight ballast penalties you've gained from finishing on the podium.

Oh I had a question for driver's. Why do some of you try no downforce?, every track, every "race car" I've driven I've always gotten way better times with full downforce. Unless it's in the tune idk. I couldn't see loosening my tune up for the corners anymore for the loss of downforce without making the tire wear suck.

Good question, I was wondering that myself but didn't want to ask. 💡

Yeah I would like to clarify one thing to everyone one more time. If I remember Ill add this to the OP too. The car regulations weight and success ballast system are two completely different things! Every car MUST be at the minimum weight that the car regulations say. This is set to even the cars up. The success ballast is added and subtracted based off results to even up the drivers. You can't remove weight from the success ballast if you haven't had any yet. So the least amount of weight a car can have is the regulation weight.

I've had a lot ask me about this. Hope this clarifies things! 👍

Not bad slide thats a pretty good lap almost in the 55's. Still got another second to get to my fastest lap hehe. :)

Lol i know, my very first lap was a 1:59 lmao. Terrible but yeah i got some changes/tweaks to make.

So Id have to finish on podium and obtain the weight. Then if I finish like 5th or worse I take however much off?

... sorry for the double!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a training discipline that some people try. It makes you appreciate what you have. To put it in real life concept, lightweight boxers train with weights strapped to their hands, then when they take it off they can move much quicker. Also there are these ankle weights that you can buy. Walk around with the weights strapped to your ankle for a couple months, then when you take em off you'll feel like you can run a lot faster...

woops this got lost...

Hi There all,

I would like to sign up if there are any free GT500 slots available. I saw on the OP that the Xanavi Nismo and Motul Autech currently have open slots.

Thank you.
