Thanks King and KK for getting my qualifying done. Best lap I'd ran today and I was getting faster each run :) Just missed a 2.03 by messing up the final corners.

Does anyone have any links to a good tuners guide? I was absolutey destroying my tires just then but don't know what to do tuning wise.

too low ride heights will cause bad tire wear, so will too low spring rates, and too high of brake balance. These are the main things I balance every week when adjusting for tire wear, as long as I get my tires to wear evenly in a race stint, thats when I'm usually settled on my balance.

Higher ride heights less brake bias. Depending on what tires your eating more, whichever one you are raise that ride height more and lower that brake bias more.

👍 its about finding the cars sweet spot and constantly being able to hit it. If it doesnt sound to explicit...

yea here u will need alot of practice because of the lack of grip, this place is deff gonna eat tires

Definetely.

Hey dragon you broken into the 2:01's yet?

DragonGT83
best lap was 2.01.873. A few tenths off a perfect run right now for me I'd say. Most my laps have been 2.02-2.02.5

#speechless...with or without ballast? Managed a 2:05.5 so far.

without ballast, pure qualifying laps. I know boshuter was able to break into a 2.02 and I thought I saw zeus do it as well and i think nizzle is pretty close. I did 2.01.7 in arta after 5 laps.

Yeah the artas great here. One quick question. We are allowed to change setups between qualifying and the race right? Because how are we gonna police that?

ya you can, I've always had a slightly different tune for the race but its never too far off, just to manage tire wear really. and of course you gotta add the weight for the race so you may want to make adjustments there also to make your car stable with the added weight(more weight ballast the more it changes things).

Definetly a lack of grip, though i think i figured out a good setup that helped it alot from sliding much. But the tires just wear bad no matter what i do to the dang car.

Haha. As zach said before, probably a 10 stop race. :P

Yeah i know at least 10 stops lol. I think once you get to half tires the car will be undriveable.

This may be where TCS will help some drivers last longer? I know I'm gonna stick it out without it when I do some race practice.

Maybe i did some testing with that and never noticed any big differnce in tire wear either way.

Thank goodness for wifi on this airplane. Giving me some time to get stuff done. Have 1 hour 28 min left up here :D. 30,000 feet in the air babay haha.
