man it is like impossible to get into room A for me. dont get how I can do a 03.5 in Practice mode then can only manage a 04.8...

Keep working at it you will get there. Anything can happen with qualifying look at slideways got knocked to room B this week. And look at Canze barely got in room A this week by .030 and he finished 3rd both the first two races. With the way qualifying is its all about hitting a good lap the first lap then going for it on the second lap. :)

Make sure you ALWAYS are practicing in your lounge not in practice mode. The physics and connection is completely different. Either be in your lounge or in an open lobby room.

No worries, your also racing with some top notch drivers. Just keep at it and I promise you'll learn stuff :)

What in the world happened to Canze...In any case I expect to get passed alot at the start, Im slow into turn 1 here.

Yay. Two big weight penalties, and someone who's bad at the first turn in front of me? I'll take it. :)

Edit: Oh, and good luck everyone. It's quite an interesting track, so the guys towards the back shouldn't give up, who knows how many mistakes there will be. And hopefully I don't get dc'd this time, I will be thoroughly pissed.

Quick question. Has a protocol been put in place if some DC's during race? So what happens to their points etc...

I thought they just get last place points?
Anyways I may be going up to practice in abit. Just a quick one before I sleep.

I assume they are placed in relation to other people depending on the number of laps completed when they disconnected.

That's how it seemed last race anyway

Well people have only just joined get last place in any races they missed. So I assume they get last place points. Like alefin said

Yeah alefin is correct. If we have mass lag outs on the pace lap or something like that we would restart the room. After that they are treated as mechanical failures and we would take note of there laps and place them in the position based off that. That was a reason why room b finished higher last week cause 2 500 cars in room a lagged out early in the race.

alefin hosting room b again? just wanna make sure we know whos hosting.

I think since slideways is in room B and he is at home this weekend, he is going to host room B tonight. He told me he would last night, since he hosted a mock race and the conncetion was great. :)

Yeah that's np too. I leave it up to Slideways since he volunteered first. I'm just there for the cake :P

I think evens since its a clockwise track, just like Monza last week... I think.

Anyway, I cant wait for this extremely depressing race to start :banghead:

Lol the long boring race.

Yeah I've never "led" as such (yeah P2 isn't the lead but there's nothing infront at start) so if I brake like 100m before I should, you know why

I was having the same problem. Ran a 2:03.8 right befor King & panoz showed up to qualify Sinladar & I and couldn't get back to the 2:03. 👎

Wooooow ok the online rooms are soooo much faster than a lounge or practice. Been trying to get close to 1562 which my dumbass ran after qualifying and I have only done 1 lap in the 57s. Just made an online room and easily ran a 56 again. Weird

This game has too many inconsistantsies. Then there is me being inconsistant too.
Changing settings in the lobbies can cause problems. Like turning on damage during qualifying. We had damage off for qualifying and King had us turn it on. It's a fact that changing the settings in the rooms causes lag and other problems. :)

How many of the top 5 in each class, have DSL for their connection. How many pay top dollar for the fastest connection they can get. These are some of the problems too. Different connections have different playing qualities. The better connection the better quality of gaming you're going to get.

Practice is always the best thing to do. The more the better. There are some tracks I'm fast at and there are some I suck at.

I like the fact that we have 2 rooms to race in. I might not be fast in room A, but I am in room B. 👍 :)

Its not a problem, just with the damage on it seems to affect the times thats why we must have settings for qualifying the exact same way as the race will be, and the same for everyone who qualifies. 👍

Who has inside line at start, odds or evens?

Inside line to turn 1 will always be odds. Unless pole sitter wants the outside line then he may choose that. Except 3rd 5th 7th ect. would still be inside line of first turn.

Yea just it being a game makes it inconsistent. I just wish I could drive a real race car as fast as possible to see how on the edge these drivers are. I have gone 170+ on a bike and only 125 in my lil Hyundai Accent lol. The bike is just plain scary and I dont see how moto racers AND auto racers take a turn at 100+

I totally understand King. :)

tensor120,
The fastest I have ever pushed a car was 122mhp south on I-5 in my 2000 Dodge Intrepid R/T. The 3.5ltr Magnum had alot of balls for a high output V6. I think it had 240hp stock. Same car the State Patrol had here, but their motor had a bit more getup & go to it.

Just drove down the Florida Turnpike coming home from Orlando and my lil '09 F150 can only get 100. It got to 100 stopped there and even went down a little bit. He don't like the 95 degree heat haha.

And yeah due to the inconsistencies we try our best to keep the variables as minimum as possible. That's why the room settings must always be what is outlined in the OP and must be in an open lobby. This helps us keep everything as even for every driver possible. It reminds me of when clouds roll in through qualifying. Every driver is on the same track but you never know when a cloud is going to cover the sun and your going to get more grip. You can compare that to lag haha

As for room b, Slide_WaysRcn88 can be the host and alefin can report the results since he did a good job at that last week 👍

It looks everything is set for this weeks race. This weeks race will be 30 Laps.

Just a reminder on how things will work. We will have the room open probably 30 minutes before 7ET that way we can get things set up and make sure everything is operating. We will probably get the race started closer to 7:30 just depends when everyone gets into the room. (Also takes a bit to do all of the regs). Be sure to follow my instructions when we are doing regs so we can get through it as smooth as possible.

When we are doing the pace laps remember that it is staggered rolling start so you are to keep a car length inbetween you and the next driver. Here is an image describing how to this:

500s will go first on the parade lap and will be allowed to get about a 20-30 second gap. Pace speed is 70 mph and is up to pole sitter to keep this speed. When the leader hits the start finish line that when everyone goes full speed. THERE IS NO PASSING before the start finish line.

Anybody in red on the qualify chart means they have indicated they won't be there. The room a drivers have been adjusted for this fact.

The people above the black line are racing in Room A and people below the line will be in Room B. We will have a full room b consisting of the full scheduled distance of 30 laps. On paper we should have about 5 500 drivers and 4 300 drivers. It is important that all room b drivers show up to ensure the best product of racing for all drivers involved. We will also be tracking the laps done so if someone in room a exits early in the race, anybody who finishes more laps in room b will be given there position. Also the winner in room b will be given a points boost so you all are fighting for something.

If you are in Room B stay tuned cause if someone in Room A doesn't show up they could be upgraded to Room A. People in room b will have priority based on qualifying results.

Good luck! 👍

Third race of the season boys! Good luck to you all tackling this tricky course. You can see the two most hazardous corners (IMO). Turn one and the chicane off in the distance. Hope you guys have fun 👍
