I agree. Im glad the first league Ive joined is probably the best. Good people. The only thats bad... My qual time this week. GRRROAAARRRR HABBA BABBA

Everything on except skid recovery, the steering and stability. TCS is on with ABS

Just stick with us and you'll get better always pushing yourself to better yourself. It's worked for me well.

nvm i withdraw from the race i tested a couple cars and i just can't get close to those times, im getting like 2:05's 2:06's consistently idk what i'm doing wrong or how the hell you guys are getting 202/204's if its a tune or if i'm just a really bad racer but i can't touche those times. best of luck with the series

well 6 of of the 32 GTA finalists that went to San Diego are here and quite a bit others who have raced with them often so they're just as fast. Never hurts to gain experience and make yourself better over time.

It takes time to become as fast as some of these guys. Cant just jump in and be as fast as some. Specially when there are 5 or 6 GT Academy Finalists in this league. The only way you will get better is by racing with drivers better. :)

Congrats on a great lap by Veloci_2NR With a 2:01.522. Does anyone have anything for that lap to steal the pole?????

Holy crap Joey! Hardly any/no practice, a couple of weeks off and you pull that time? I'm glad I'm not in the 300's.

Me too!! But this is a better track for the arta and joey waited till qualifying to run his pb. Thats the best time to do it. 👍

Out of curiousty, what is defined as a significant overlap in this series? Same as the OLR where its front bumper alongside driving position? Or different?

yeah u managed a 1.7 in your first laps so i wonder what you could have managed with more practise.

Thanks guys :) I know there's more in it, but I wanted to get it over with. I know Dragon could pull the same times since I also ran 1.7's on my first few laps testing the car. But still not bad within half an hour of getting home after a 7hr flight and a day starting at 3AM :dopey::yuck::dopey:

well you've just knocked my confidence down. awesome pace mate. Thats just inhumane. I'll remember to roll down my window and wave as you come to lap me. :P

Once again guys loving the numbers! Looks like we are looking at around 5 or more drivers per class in room b! 👍

Glad to see you guys are sticking around  Haven't scared you off yet...

No worries. There is always a chance you can finish higher then 9th through lag outs/parking the car/just running really bad in room a. Happened last week. Also you get a point bonus for winning room b 👍

EDIT: Sorry for triple post :dunce:

uhhhh, i havent gotten there yet. I'm guessing two stops. I usually just call an audible. If I have plenty of tire left after 10 laps (doubt it), then I'll do 1 stop. My guess is two stops is the winning call.

And pssst, Shagg, I'm in the '03 Arta, not the '08. :)

I timed a 3 stopper and its not bad either 👍

I honestly couldn't tell you. I am unprepared for the race; however, I don't think we should be getting that bad tire wear. Its about 25secs for a pit stop compared to driving past. So with a 3 stop strategy, you have that extra time on pit road so it needs to translate to the track. That means every stint, you will need the other people to fall off more than 8 seconds on average. Crunching the numbers, it's close but I think you'll be off by about 5-10 seconds assuming the drop-off is about 3 seconds by the end of the stint. You'll have to run balls to the wall on a three stopper to make it a winning strategy.

True that, but I would only run this strategy if my total time was quicker which it was about 40 secs over 30 laps. If I'm right there with the pack I won't go for a 3 stopper (I rather catch a draft around the track which is worth just as much time), but If the pack is pulling away for me then I have nothing to lose by pitting for fresh rubber and running my 3 stop strategy since it yields me less over-all run time. 👍

3 stops would mean your pitting every 7 or 8 laps, so that leave you 3-6 laps to make up your extra stop on fresh tires and hope the rest of your stint is faster then the rest of the fields pace. IMO thats a lil risky, I could see 3 stops in a 1.5 hr race for sure but not this 1 hr race.

great times on qualifying, if zeus hits his quali run tonight or others I get to drop to 5th or 6th woohoo. No way I'm going to catch the front runners with my weight ballast unless they make major mistakes and I don't. I'll be on tonight to help run any qualifying and run some practice.

I never realized how much quicker the lap times are in an open room vs a private lounge. I was practicing in my lounge last night and running 2:02.6 to .8s when I went in the open room with KB and tiemizzle to qualify, my times dropped dramatically.

Almost had that "miracle" lap, I had a 2:02.3 on the board and was .7 up on that time until I went in to the last chicane too hot. :ouch: At least KB saw it, he was cheering me on all the way through that lap.

Good possiblitly slideways the new guy phil just qualified and ran a 56.9 and benny ran 56.6 so it will be close.

Edit: Slide you are sitting 6th right now with Immortal, Artmann, Jett, Canze, Mike88 yet to qualify just to name a few. So you are definetly in trouble. :scared:
My alter ego is doing well on his first GTTRL performance. :)

Im actually thinking about it for the 500's, because it may get you out of traffic. Will see how it pans out. Then again, just a guess. :P

Now that you mention I have realised this too....I was giving it my all in my lounge when practicing and yesterday in an open room I done a personal best second sector somehow. I didnt even give it my all and i was up 3-4 tenths from my PB time....I guess I'll just practice in an open room now...

4 drivers seperated by less than two tenths from position 3-6....lmao race should be good....

You should ask someone for their set-up(someone thats fast like Veloci). I was running 1.58s in the GT500s and was told how to set the car up which was like opposite of what I was doing and gained 2 seconds not even trying to go fast
