Interesting conversation about curbs. The track that I go to most often (VIR) recently added new curbs in areas where people were driving on the grass. Before they were put there that area was just dirt because people were driving on it. By straight lining the esses there you could gain quite a bit of time.

This is what they had to do to keep people off the grass.

👍
Alot of tracks used them to also keep dust, dirt, sand, etc. off the track which Im thinking thats a big reason why VIR did that

Quick clarification, the two tires on rumble rule is mostly applied for cutable chicanes like the ones at Monza, Nurburg, and Le Mans. Anytime there is grass next to a rumble or in a chicane the grass is off limits.

I don't want that stuff you could see in GTA where people would cut through the grass at the full Nurburgring. So rule of thumb any tires in the grass should be dirty. Am I right Mike?

Completely Agree. 👍

LOL im gonna break each one in the week of the race lol. Just finished breaking in lancer. Will worry about race 2's car next Saturday haha.

King just wanted to give my thanks for getting this series sorted out. Really like we're running sports tires now, in our position we really need it to keep moving forward you know what I mean?

Ya that rx-7 was crazy redlining on the straight at 497 hp or whatever it is fully broke in, I'll figure it out and keep you posted. When I set the HP levels for last season I ran the cars on the longest straight tracks we'd run them on and set the HP so we could draft a tiny bit and not ground out engine. Most of them this season should be fine, but a few will probably need the limiter turned down.

No problem i was glad to put it together. Thanks for the help with figuring that stuff out for me. 👍

Just a tough....
well unless all of you are equally as fast the mandatory pit stop is just fine. But if not this is the only chance for slower guys or drivers with better tire management have.

You can be fast & manage tires. Not having mandatory will hurt ds3 players & people that are too aggressive with the wheel.

Hope everyone is ready for this series to start Friday. Qualifying will be open tomorrow morning for everyone.

OK this has been dead here for a little bit now, is everyone still plan on racing this friday?

I'm away on vacation for the first round, but will be at the next one. My Team Mate will put in a strong finish for D.o.C I'm sure.

The tread will pick up once the season starts King. ;)

Good to hear guys im looking forward to this season with all these great drivers in this series its going to be very competitive!!!

Just finished up a nice practice with Mike, Jones and Todd. Looks like most need to be in the 1:03s-1:04s. Pole time could sneak into the high 1:02s as my pb was a 1.03.015.

Had a good session today with yall need to get that last 60 miles on the car to break it in the rest of the way before i qualify but we did have our first person qualify today. We will have a chart up soon to show all qualifying results. 👍

Qualifying is now open for this week's race. This will be the post that will be used for the qualifying results. It is going to be this Friday at 9:30pm ET. It will be at Tsukuba Circuit and will consist of two heat races where this qualifying session will determine the starting order of the first heat, while the second heat will be determined via reverse order of the results from the first. Each heat will be (30 Laps)

This post here will detail the results, procedures and etc on how we do qualifying (See OP for more details). Qualifying is over and final 12 hours before the scheduled start of the race.

The chart below details the current qualifying standings. This will be updated as the week goes forth and when a new page is made I will quote this post

Current Qualifying Results:

To qualify you can either PM a steward here on GTPlanet, post a post on here with a public room number for a steward to join, or if you are friends on PSN with a steward you can PM them on there. Below is the list of Stewards that can qualify you (as of now)

GTPlanet name (PSN name)

- XxShaggxX (Xx-Shagg-xX)
- DragonGT83 (same)
- KingBestJr (same)
- gtpanoz (panoz38)

Note that Stewards must qualify with other Stewards

I got a 1.03.160 but I think 1.02s high are possible for me with some more practice. But it will be hard to hit a high 1.02 in qualifying I think cause I start hitting my fastest laps after lap 3.

Just got finished breaking in my lancer the rest of the way so i'll probably run some laps and see what i can run now. Hopefully i can hit 102's now.
