Had some fun racing tonight, think it was 5 or 6 of us running 5 lap races, racing was very tight for sure. Went ahead and qualified, 1st lap was a 1.03.278?(king you remember?, I know it was a .2 something) then my second lap time I was ahead of the best lap that was a 1.02.8 in the first sector, then was just barely behind in the 2nd sector which was at least .150 ahead of my 1st lap that I noticed, then I botched the 2nd to last turn overdriving it and hollered over the mic:banghead::banghead::banghead:, came to finish my 2nd lap with a 1.03.211.

I'm pretty confident when I run some more laps I can break into a 1.02, but might take me over 5 laps to get there, we'll see with a lil future practice.

your first lap was a 1:03.228 then the .211 either way good lap in the 2 laps you get for qualifying. I feel like your best laps would come on about lap 4 of a run maybe 5. I know my 1:02.807 was on my 5th lap.
 
Qualifying is now open for this week's race. This will be the post that will be used for the qualifying results. It is going to be this Friday at 9:30pm ET. It will be at Tsukuba Circuit and will consist of two heat races where this qualifying session will determine the starting order of the first heat, while the second heat will be determined via reverse order of the results from the first. Each heat will be (30 Laps)

This post here will detail the results, procedures and etc on how we do qualifying (See OP for more details). Qualifying is over and final 12 hours before the scheduled start of the race.

The chart below details the current qualifying standings. This will be updated as the week goes forth and when a new page is made I will quote this post

Hope you can back it up in qualifying. I had a face palm moment last night with King, totally my fault as I didn't completely understand how the qualifying thing works. But I know now.

Jumped into the room that King put up to run my qualifying laps and headed out. I was unaware I had to announce that it was my qualifying run. So warm up lap, first hot lap was good no big mistakes and came across 1:03.197, nice, glad that that's over and the second lap just kind of ran around the track because I knew the first one was good.

So I'm ready to call it a night and message King if we were good. He says "just let me know when you are going" ???? " I just went?" Big Oops on my part.

Did another run, two ok laps, trying too hard.

So now I know how it works.

tough break dude but .197 is very good
 
Nice run guys. Just did another head count and we should have 14. Man it's going to be intense driving with 14 drivers around this short track :scared:

The beauty of putting the pressure on. I ran my pb the run before at a .015 then qualified at a .25x. So hard to BRING IT when you know this one is the one that counts lol
 
I was able to do 1:03.004 quali style after more practice. we(Sofa Racing Team) should be ready to qualify this afternoon. we let you guys know.

All right guys we have 7 people qualified right now, but tomorrow is thursday and is really the last day you can qualify unless you qualify early early friday morning. So make sure and get your qualifying in.

I messed up bad in qualli im the worst quallifier ever :(

haha I know right, first time that ever happen to me. very disappointed with that time tho since I was doing 1:03.000 quali style too often:ouch:

looks like alot of us have messed up in qualifying. I know king and shagg did for sure.
 
Everyone who hasnt qualified yet needs to try and get it done today sometime as qualifying ends tomorrow morning.

Haha that's why we do NASCAR style qualifying. Really puts the pressure on instead of doing it in like a time period
